Keybreeze Changelog

What's new in Keybreeze 4.0 Beta

Jul 26, 2013
  • The new version includes all the major features that the previous version had -- custom keywords, letter commands, text functions, sticky notes, macros, etc. Most of these features have been greatly improved, and updating to the new version will give you the option to import your old settings or start fresh:
  • New features and enhancements:
  • Improved graphics (you can see screenshots here).
  • Automatic indexing for your Desktop, Start Menu, and other folders. These entries are stored separately from your custom keyword list, so you can manage both more effectively.
  • URL replacement options for letter commands (useful if you need to include symbols such as #, $, %, @ in your searches).
  • Redesigned options window, context menus, Command List, and other windows.
  • New macro editor allows you to record macros, so you no longer have to manually type commands, although you still can if you want to. The syntax has changed for macros, so any macros you created in prior versions of Keybreeze will not work in this version.
  • Bug fixes:
  • The "Windows is waiting for Keybreeze to close" message should no longer appear when you shut down your computer.
  • There was an intermittent delay with sticky note reminders. This has been fixed.
  • Other minor bugs were likely fixed since it was a complete rewrite of the code. Other minor bugs, however, may be encountered.
