- Starting from version 3.1 Krento supports docklets. Krento Docklets are mini applications similar to Krento Toys with a variety of possible uses. They can connect to web services to deliver business data, weather information, news updates, traffic maps, Internet radio streams, and even slide shows of online photo albums.
- Docklets can also integrate with other programs to provide streamlined interaction.
- Krento comes with a set of docklets to get you started, and you can also develop your docklets to extend the Krento functionality using Embarcardero Delphi or Microsoft Visual C++ compilers.

For example, you can create the stone with Notepad as a target and drag the text file to it. In this case Notepad starts and opens the dragged file.
- When you do Ctrl + Click on Stones Manager window, the ring selection dialog will be shown

- This release has new setup with modern look, additional features and accurate work with registry
- The size of Krento was reduced almost twice even with all new features. The loading of the application rings was improved. Krento keeps applications rings history and can navigate between the rings using context menu or Ctrl + B and Ctrl + F keys (to go back and forward). The registry access was reduced (portable edition does not use registry at all). Also all operations performed now without using Administrator rights even if Krento is running under Administrator account.

- Krento settings are stored when user is logging of or shutdown PC automatically
- Every applications ring remembers the stones location and restore it every time while loading
- When Krento starts, it loads the last opened ring, not just a default one.
- The .circle file name can be specified as a command line parameter
- New command line parameter /ns for disabling splash screen during startup
