MIDI Editor Changelog

What's new in MIDI Editor 1.3

May 26, 2006
  • MIDI Input and Output device selection bug corrected : in some cases (for some particular sound cards), the information received from the card, concerning the card type and brand, caused a fatal error to occur. The information displayed has been simplificated.
  • Visibility Condition' control added : This new control allows you to show/hide any other control at a specific location dynamically, depending on the value of an offset, and thus offers more interactivity inside the user forms (the specified control will be visible at the Visibility Condition control location if the value of a certain offset -or calculated parameter- is in a certain range). Try it and you'll understand the enormous potential of it!
  • To Window button' : Caption can now be different from the caption of the target window.
  • To window button' : 'Increase on isolated', and 'Increase on containers' values can be specified, in order to use the same window to edit repetitive parts of the synth's memory (this can be mixed with the incremental combo box feature).
  • On/Off button' : in order to use it as a 'Set value' button, led is not displayed when caption for 'on' is the same as caption for 'off', and value for 'on' is the same as value for 'off' (commonly used to create a 'set to zero', 'set to min.' or 'set to max.' button).
  • Random names (in the randomization process) : force upper/lower option added (some synths allow sound names in uppercase or lowercase only).
  • Format Determination engine enhanced.
  • Save confirmation on exit (you don't have to reboot anymore when you realize you've made a mistake!!!).
  • Quick save feature (save your work without having to close the application).
  • Windows NT remaining bugs fixed.
  • Problem with compressed disks and disks accessed thru a network fixed.
  • Tips.ini file updated.
