MULTIPSK Changelog

What's new in MULTIPSK 4.48.4

Jan 2, 2024
  • Addition of a "Mapping program" menu in the Configuration screen. This menu permits to choose between DXAtlas and OMMap as mapping program.
  • Note: if OMMap is chosen, for an automatic detection by Multipsk, OMMap must be started before Multipsk.
  • Display of the positions of VDL2 and HFDL ground stations in communication with the planes on the local map or on DXAtlas or OMMap.
  • Possibility to display the position of a received DGPS station on DXAtlas or OMMap.
  • Addition of the distance to the plane in HFDL.
  • Minimum keying CW speed of 7 wpm instead 10 wpm.
  • Addition of the "Morse langage learning" function in "CW" mode ("A - ---" button).
  • Update of the VDL2_Ground_Stations.txt (for the VDL2 mode). Thanks to Sergio.
  • A list of the growing frequencies for the amateur and professional modes of Multipsk is available in the PDF file "List_of_growing_frequencies_for_amateur_and_professional_modes_decoded_by_Multipsk.pdf" present in the Multipsk package, as well as the file "List_of_HFDL_frequencies.pdf".

New in MULTIPSK 4.48.3 (Sep 29, 2023)

  • Addition of the country in FT8/FT4/WSPR/EM (beacon) modes, based on the call signs received.
  • "Satellites" window: the LPRT "Meteor M2" satellite is replaced by the "Meteor M2 3" one. On LRPT mode, click on "Downloading" to automatically update the TLE files and so to take into account the "Meteor M2 3" satellite.
  • The Junzis database for planes is replaced by the Opensky database. The search is also automatic. For this, it is used the last identifier (or ICAO) received by Multipsk. It concerns the AERO, ACARS, VDL2 and ADSB modes.
  • In the "Other options" window (in the RX/TX screen menu), the "GMDSS filter" function permits to avoid the display on the "QSO" window ("log"), of repetitive GMDSS transmissions coming from the same coast stations.
  • In the "Other options" window, the "Display on map of the called coast stations" function permits to display the called coast stations on the maps, in addition to the stations calling.
  • In ARGOS and in EPIRB, the METOP-C satellite replaces the METOP-A one.
  • Update of the AIRPORTS.TXT and VDL2_Ground_Stations.txt (for the VDL2 mode). Thanks to Sergio.
  • New maps for Multipsk in http://f6cte.free.fr/MAPS.ZIP. Thanks to Patrice.

New in MULTIPSK 4.47 (Sep 20, 2022)

  • Clock "The radio driven digital clock', bundled with MultiPSK, provides date and time from FRANCE-INTER, DCF 77, HBG, MSF, BBC, WWVB, WWV, WWVH, CHU, RAI, JJY, a GPS or Internet.

New in MULTIPSK 4.46.1 (Aug 2, 2022)

  • CLOCK 1.11.11 (FLE (ex FRANCE-INTER), DCF77, MSF, WWVB, WWV, WWVH, CHU, JJY, RAI, BBC, GPS, Internet)
  • Pour les francophones: la version en français de ce message se trouve sur mon site (http://f6cte.free.fr). Il suffit de cliquer sur le lien "Principales modifications (courriel avertissant de la sortie de la nouvelle version)".
  • Hello to all Ham and SWL:
  • The new release of MultiPSK (4.46.1) is on my Web site (http://f6cte.free.fr/index_anglais.htm).
  • The mirror site is Earl's, W8BR: https://www.paazig.net/f6cte/MULTIPSK_setup.exe
  • The MD5 signature of the downloaded MULTIPSK_setup.exe file to, possibly, check (with WinMD5 for example), that the downloading works without error, is equal to:
  • b62aa301c72df91204ebd74a1a69e136
  • Multipsk associated to Clock are freeware programs but with functions submitted to a licence (by user key).
  • The main improvement of MULTIPSK 4.46.1 is the following:
  • Several bugs fixed permit to this new version to decode 93 sound files representing more or less all the amateur and professional modes which can be decoded by Multipsk.

New in MULTIPSK 4.45.6.1 (Apr 21, 2022)

  • The improvements of MULTIPSK 4.45.6.1 are the following:
  • Replacement of the EM (Extended Message) sub-mode by the new EM mode
  • The EM mode is more reliable and a bit more sensitive than the former EM sub-mode (deleted in this new Multipsk version and not compatible with the new EM mode).
  • Its main use is to give the possibility to have simultaneous QSO (at standard speed similar to the PSK31 one) between different Hams, as messages are displayed on the waterfall and on the reception windows.
  • Addition of the "PKT" (or "DATA-L"), "PKT-R" (or "DATA-R") modulations in the "QRGs" (i.e. "Frequencies") window. This modification is associated with the "FREQUENCIES.TXT" file, where modes with their frequencies and modulations are specified.

New in MULTIPSK 4.45.6 (Apr 18, 2022)

  • Clock "The radio driven digital clock', bundled with MultiPSK, provides date and time from FRANCE-INTER, DCF 77, HBG, MSF, BBC, WWVB, WWV, WWVH, CHU, RAI, JJY, a GPS or Internet.

New in MULTIPSK 4.45.5 (Feb 5, 2022)

  • In CW, by pushing the "loudspeaker" button, one can listen the pass-band filtered sound located between the two blue dashes on the waterfall, i.e. the sound taken into account by the decoder.
  • The CW filtered signal will be easier to decode "with the hears" (in parallel to the Multipsk decoding).
  • From now on, the "DFM" mode button concerns the Graw radiosondes family (DFM06 / DFM09 / DFM17 / PS-15).
  • Note: it is reminded that Multipsk decodes the radiosondes position but not the telemetry (temperature, pressure etc).. To decode this one, it is necessary to use a program as "SondeMonitor", for example.

New in MULTIPSK 4.45.4 (Oct 31, 2021)

  • The improvements of MULTIPSK 4.45.4 are the following:
  • Possibility to transmit positions in real time, in the form of GGA NMEA GPS frames, for the ADS-B, ACARS and VDL2 modes. These ones complete the group of modes having yet this possibility: APRS (Packet), 1382, BIIS,.EPRIB, M10/M20, DFM06-09, RS41 and LMS6.
  • The PNG format is accepted for local maps in APRS, SYNOP, etc. Thanks to Gustavo Huffenbacher Daud for his pngdelphi procedures on http://pngdelphi.sourceforge.net. So, the accepted formats are from now on: BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG.
  • For local maps in APRS, SYNOP, etc, possibility to import PNG SailWx maps on http://www.sailwx.info/maps/shipplotter.phtml.
  • The KML map definition file associated with the maps generated by the Maperitive soft is taken into account.
  • See below for the use.
  • Update of the Shipdata.txt file (for the GMDSS and AIS modes). Thanks to Holger DF6DBF.
  • Update of the VDL2_Ground_Stations.txt (for the VDL2 mode). Thanks to Sergio.
