  • New features and enhancements:
  • Enhanced Network Video Wall feature:
  • In the new version we present the Displays Configuration tool with a Video Wall section.
  • This tool can be found in File menu > Displays configuration
  • Please note: In order to work with the new Displays configuration tool you must use OSBASE driver v.1.0.2970 and above
  • The tool was designed as a super-friendly and intuitive tool, allowing the users to create multiple video walls, by a simple drag and drop action.
  • Once the initial setup is done, Windows® will identify the new setting as one big extended display, allowing the user to run any type of content on the new video wall setup. You can also set the new extended display to duplicate your primary screen.
  • Your video wall will be up and running within minutes!
  • Enhanced content mirroring:

  • This tool was designed as a super-friendly and intuitive tool, allowing the users to create multiple cloned groups, by a simple drag and drop action.
  • Once the initial setup is done, Windows® will identify the new cloned group as one extended screen, allowing the user to run any type of content in full sync. You can also set the new extended display to duplicate your primary screen.
  • You can easily add more cloned groups if required and run everything from a single PC.
  • Chrome browser support:
  • In the new version we present full support of Chrome browser in addition to our past support with Internet Explorer.
  • It now allows multiple browser instances to be open, in regular mode or in full screen mode.
  • The new enhancement allows users to fully integrate CMS or dashboard systems, which require Chrome, with Monitors AnyWhere, to present different web pages on different screens.

  • Enhanced User Interface
  • The User interface has been updated with new menu icons for an easier usability and the Playlist control panel has been re-designed with new buttons and new capabilities.
  • Enhanced Playlist and Calendar configuration:
  • The two functions are now merged into one window for selecting the working mode for each screen.
  • Enhanced Send function:
  • When you add a new task to a Playlist you can choose to open the applications in Maximized or Regular window state.The new "Regular" mode will send the application without maximizing it on the selected screen.
  • Colors annotations:
  • Monitors AnyWhere v2 includes an advanced color annotation function to allow identifying each application easily. Colors can be changed easily by pressing on the Rename and Set Color.
  • Enhanced Renaming screens:
  • It is now possible to edit screen's name.
  • Screen ID and Name:
  • Monitors AnyWhere v2 includes the capability to identify all screens in order to allow easy naming process. This feature is also very useful for a Video Wall configuration.
  • The notification on the screen will show the selected name and the Screen's Windows ID.
  • Allowing updates and built-in automatic upgrades:
  • Starting from Monitors AnyWhere v2 it is now possible to update the software whenever a new version is release simply by press on the Help menu and choosing Check for updates.
  • Also if downloaded the new version manually, no need to save the configuration, uninstall and preform a new installation. Simply install the new version on the current installed version.
  • Issues Fixed:
  • Fixed an issue where the Simple Playlist won't send applications to the correct window and many times leave them on the Primary screen.
  • Fixed an issue related to the annotation appeared on the screen's thumbnail when the Calendar option was in use.
  • Fixed an issue where the Simple Playlist wouldn't send IE when only one task was configured per screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the Simple Playlist in Non-Automatic mode would note rotate between applications.
  • Fixed high CPU and RAM usage issue.
  • Fixed an issue in the Screen Grouping and content Mirroring feature where content would stop duplicating after some time.

  • Screen grouping and content mirroring:
  • Monitors Anywhere has developed a new unique capability that allows screen grouping and content mirroring. This new feature enables to create groups of monitors connected to the host PC and by doing so it can mirror the content from one monitor to all other screens in that group.
  • Automatic Start Options feature:
  • This function allows you to choose which operation will be initiated on each monitor separately on system startup. You can choose one of the following functions:
  • Simple playlist, Calendar, Send All, Send All+Simple Playlist

  • Play list feature allow you to set a list of application for a each screen and to configure the time interval for each application to run.
  • To configure the Playlist settings: Options > Scheduler Settings > Playlist Settings
  • It's also possible to Play or Stop the timer from the main console screen.
  • You can multi-select screens and set the timer On or Off on all of them.
  • Right click on an empty space in the main console will open the Options menu for a better and easier accessibility.
  • The licensing mechanism has been upgraded. In the first installation a trial period will run for 30 days and will allow you to control up to 3 extended rmonitors. New in Monitors AnyWhere 1.4.8 (Oct 8, 2012)

  • New features:
  • The layout of thumbnails images in the main window are now saved in the database. You can either choose to save the layout while working or it will be automatically saved when exiting the software.
  • Alternative images can be set as background for the monitor's thumbnails. This function is designed to reflect the monitor's placements in a building or a floor plan.
  • Set background image feature allows you to present different images on each monitor to be used as a static bulletin board.
  • System configuration can be saved by using the new Import Export feature. It saves all Application Planner's configurations, layouts and background settings.
  • A new online Knowledge Base is available on our website and can also be accessed by pressing F1 while using Monitors AnyWhere.
  • Enhanced Browse window:
  • When browsing for an application to open on specific screen, it's now also available to Browse in the Parameters field. It's very useful feature when using it to open files.
  • Parameters field also saves cache of any recent entry. (already implemented for the application field)
  • Right click on the arrow which is located on the right side of Parameters field. It allows you to Remove an entry from cache or to clear all entries from cache. (already implemented for the application field)
  • Full free-text support in the Parameters field.
  • Enhanced Application Planner:
  • Multi Select of rows in the Application Planner console is now available. It's now possible to select a number of monitors to preform a Send All function or a number of applications.
  • Terminate a running process is now available from the Application Planner console.
  • Monitor's list now present the Operating System Identifier for each screen.

  • Enhanced Resize screen feature:
  • Now it enables you to change the size of monitors' thumbnails that appear in the main windows.
  • Enhanced user interface abilities:
  • Right-click on monitors' thumbnails enables you to Connect, Rename and view its properties.
  • Right-click on monitors list (upper table) enables you to Connect and Rename its properties.
  • Also, double click on a monitor in that table will connect you to that specific monitor.
  • Right-click on applications list (middle table) will enable you to send the selected application to any monitor.
  • Right-click on the list of applications for a selected monitor (bottom table) will enable you to send it back to primary screen.
  • Icons added for all applications which are currently running on the computer.
