  • Further tweaked the pop-up issue
  • Fixed KVM sidebar to be high dpi aware, fixes positioning issue reported here: https://forums.stardock.com/503107/page/1/#3796020

New in Multiplicity 3.5 Build 00096 (Aug 14, 2020)

  • Adds a flush DNS entry to the right-click menu (for when your computer has changed IP and the OS doesn't know as it has cached it)
  • Adds a message about disabling the cloud clipboard sharing in the OS if detected once
  • Adds text about the VirtualBox network adapter breaking WakeOnLan
  • Tweaks how it handles cursors if PCs are under heavy load
  • Modifies how it polls for certain events which might make it more friendly to machines with huge numbers of CPU cores rather than potentially keeping them awake
  • Swaps the mouse buttons if you have swap mouse buttons enabled so it doesn't double swap.
  • Should address the issue with cursor shrinking in mixed dpi setups
  • Fixed issue with Drag and Drop that could have it not work consistently if Primary had a higher DPI scale than the destination Secondary
  • Fixed an issue where the Primary setting 'Prevent secondary computers auto sleeping whilst using this computer' would not work.

New in Multiplicity 3.44 Build 00090 (Aug 3, 2017)

  • This build consolidates the code base for EdgeRunner, Stardock, and the Object Desktop versions of Multiplicity and allows for consolidated future improvements.

New in Multiplicity 3.2 Build 00067 (Jan 9, 2015)

  • REMOTE ACCESS CONNECTION CONTROLS (IP-KVM):
  • These features are controlled from the remote PC's (the PC to be connected to) configuration panel Security tab, then select "KVM control settings.":
  • Check the connection code option box to cause the PC requesting a remote connection to be prompted to enter a connection code. When the remote PC receives a connect request it will pop a window with the connection code to be entered into the PC requesting the connection. This code enables the remote PC to recognize the request as authorized.
  • Connect code controlled remote access also has preset time limit options which will terminate the connection and require a new code to access that PC again. Once a controlling PC connects with a connection code, it may reconnect until the original authorized time period expires.
  • Check the option box to require all remote connection requests to be encrypted.
  • Check the option box to display a visual indicator on the PC's local display indicating that it is being controlled by another PC. (Indicator is also shown on the controlling PC's display.)
  • Check the option box to record KVM connections to the event log.
  • The following options can be accessed from the primary PC configuration panel:
  • The wake-on-LAN function can be activated on a remote PC from the primary PC's KVM tab. Right click on a KVM configured remote PC and select this option. The wake-on-LAN capability is also available by right clicking on a remote PC thumbnail image in the side bar and from the primary PC seamless configuration grid.
  • Ability to sort KVM connections by name and last used connection.
  • REMOTE MONITORING NETWORK UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT (IP-KVM):
  • New option to control the frequency the primary PC requests thumbnail monitoring image updates and the rate secondary PCs update their thumbnail images. This may be useful to manage network bandwidth if there is a large number of remote PCs sending thumbnail images to primary PCs.
  • The primary PC controls the frequency it polls for remote desktop thumbnail images. The remote secondary PC controls the frequency it updates its thumbnail image. Primary PC update request rates exceeding the secondary PC thumbnail update rate will get the last image update created by the secondary PC.
  • On a primary PC: This option is selected on the Multiplicity configuration panel KVM tab, then select "Advanced Settings."
  • On a remote secondary PC: This option is found on the configuration panel Security tab, then select "KVM control settings."
  • General Enhancements:
  • Ability to right-click a remote PC thumbnail on the primary PC and create a desktop shortcut.
  • Connect and error screens in KVM mode (remote access) now use display name not machine name.
  • Registry Key Controlled Options:
  • These options must be set using a registry key and do not have user interface configuration panel controls. (Only use these features if you are knowledgeable in the use of regedit to set registry keys.)
  • Show a green line border indicating the monitor the cursor is at rest on. This key must be set on all PCs where the green line is to be displayed.
  • Force remote connections to be in "View Only" mode. These keys are all set on the controlling primary PC. Depending on the key used it will apply to all remote connections made from that PC or limited to specific PCs.
  • Prevent remote (KVM) connect screens and connect error screens from displaying. This key is only set on the controlling primary PC and applies to all connections.
