  • Fixed tagging at the contact list. A user was not able to tag (place a check mark) on a record. You were only able to tag a contact record by using the Tag and Untag buttons. You now can tag a contact by check marking the box directly on the list.

New in My ICE Plan Build 10185 (May 17, 2013)

  • NEW - Right Click to copy, paste, cut and undo at the Item inventory data forms. It also available and most other data entry forms. The Right Click brings up a popup menu with normal options to copy and paste. The menu option Paste has a nifty feature where as it display the first 20 characters of what is about to be pasted.
  • NEW - Right Click to display popup menus has been implemented at all lists. Thus you can now right click on a list and a menu will display options such as Add, Editing and Deleting a record as well as some other options that may be available for the list.
  • NEW - Redesigned the Emergency Agencies list. The maps for the USA and Canada are now on the same window as the records for each agencies. Just tab over to a map and use it to point and click to a government emergency web site.
  • Fixed - From case sensitive to case insensitive for search using a User filter from Xplore on a list. Now typing either lower or upper or mixed will find a record.
  • Fixed Assign Making. When re-assigning items using TreeViews' Re-Assign feature, clicking on a column header marked all items. This has now been fixed.
  • Removed ? from each list. The question mark was there for future use but is no longer needed for searching.

New in My ICE Plan Build 10174 (May 17, 2013)

  • Major changes to My ICE Plan.
  • Some minor and new changes/additions were made to the data entry from for adding items to the inventory. These are basically moving fields around to accommodate a bigger area for editing and viewing the items' description, the warranty area and the appraisal area.
  • Also color changes were made for the item forms of the Beneficiary and the Owner forms. This was done to distinguished which form you were using. Although the forms are marked Updating Item Beneficiary or Updating Item Owner, a user can momentarily get confused of where they were at because the forms look very similar and were the same color.
  • Now the Beneficiary Item Form is Silver from Blue and with a Silver Toolbar that has a tint of violet.
  • The Owner Item Form is white with a white/tannish toolbar. These colors are similar to colors you may see in Office 2003.
  • A minor change to the Main Toolbar was made. The height of the toolbar is larger. This was made for aesthetic reasons and to set the main toolbar apart from the forms toolbars. When a form was maximized the toolbars seem to blend into one and appeared confusing at times. Also Tab name changes were made.
  • The item form now had Item Data (P1) and a (P2) tab. The names have been changed to just say Item. The (P2) tab names changes to Warranty/Appraisal tab. The item status fields that were on the same tab as the warranty info has been moved to the Item tab.
  • NEW:
  • A Major change was made to the Contacts form. When you check mark a contact to "Use Contact for Family Emergency Plan" a new Medical Tab will be enabled and be available to use for that particular contact.
  • The Medical tab contains basic but vital data for the contact such as blood type, allergies and other data. This data will be used when creating your emergency plans. The data is printed on wallet cards and the new vehicle placards for emergency responder use in case the contact needs medical attention.
  • Major changes to the Emergency Plans have been made:
  • The Cover sheet which contained two print buttons has been completely re-designed. Instead of printing everything by just hitting either the Print Plan A Option 1 or Option 2 button, there is now only one button to print everything. However, you now get the opportunity to check mark what to print, one, a few or all.
  • The previous method printed all of the reports and if you wanted to cancel one or a few then you had to do it at the print preview screen. This was somewhat awkward and confusing to some users.
  • You still can cancel the reports selected from the print preview screen if desired but will that choice will probably be not needed since you selected the what reports to print before hand. The idea behind the Print All Option (both old and new) is to quickly print everything in the system (with the exception of the Letter of Instruction" sections), with one hit on the print button, either to a paper printer or a pdf file.
  • The changes just make it easier to do. Additionally you now can by pass the print preview and send the print job directly to the printer. Thus if you know all is good and ready to go, you can check "Do NOT use print preview" and send all selected reports to the printer. Other changes to the cover sheet include a Plan Status, indicating if your meeting places and medical sections are complete.
  • Also on the Medical Data tab of each plan now resides a Contact list. You can view your contacts here but with different fields displayed from the regular Contacts list that you would see by using the Contacts button from the main toolbar.
  • The view puts focus on the medical data for the each contact. This Medical Data tab also contains the options to print the new Vehicle Placard and Wallet card sheet.
  • The wallet cards that were used in the previous version no longer is used for the general purpose of the entire family, but instead a new personalized wallet card and vehicle placard is created for each member of the plan. The option to print only personalized wallet cards (no vehicle placard) for each member is also available.
  • These changes give each member of the emergency plan there own separate wallet card that contains their own medical data. New plan icons were also created.

New in My ICE Plan Build 10151 (May 17, 2013)

  • Corrected an item listing duplication error in the One-Liner reports. If a model number was entered in one item and only a serial number in the next record, the oneliner report would misread the data and would report an extra item in the inventory that wasn't in the database. This has been corrected. This issued only resided in the oneliner reports. Also corrected a typo on the print button of the one-liner reports.

  • Made sure that special characrter keys \ / : * ? < > | were the only keys not allowed in item name and other fields that use the name to create files since these characters are not allowed in naming Windows files. There was in this group a comma, a period and a few other vaild characters that are allowed and thus was removed from the non allowable list. NOTE: Added this feature to the Letter of Instruction form. Thus it too now checks for exclusion of invaild characters in the persons name and SSN.

  • Fixed issue:
  • Problem: when trying to delete a record that was related to another the program would tell you that the record could not be deleted as it should. However when going back into the record to make a change the program will error a "LOGOUT" error and the program would quit. This has been fixed.

New in My ICE Plan 2010 Build 9411 (May 29, 2010)

  • Created a new exe file for the Standard version (icehisstd.exe) and the Professional version (icehispro.exe). There was an option at the setup screen to start either the ToDo's or the inventory list (or both) when starting the program. After adding the new features below, it was discovered that if both the ToDo's and the Inventory List was selected to start (display) when the program was initially started that the program would GPF and shut down. The fix was to remove one of the choices. It was decided to leave the choice to start the ToDo's and remove the "Start the Inventory List" when the program starts. This feature may be re-added at a later date. Updating to new exe files fixes the GPF error.

New in My ICE Plan 2010 Build 9410 (May 5, 2010)

  • Fixed filename issue:
  • ...where if an extra dot (.) was placed in the filename or folder name before the file extensions (i.e.: if you had a photo of
  • your home named like this "123-N.Hill-Ave.jpg" and you were using this image as your Main Home nik-name image) - then when selected, My ICE Plan would copy that photo and rename it as "Main Home.hil" instead of "Main Home.jpg. This issue has now been fixed. My ICE Plan will correctly rename the image regardless of the number of extra dots or where they are placed.
