New in Mylio Photos 3.8 Build 6650 (May 2, 2020)

  • New Features:
  • Multiple Categories:
  • Organizing just got even easier in Mylio. Add one or more categories to your folders, events, or even individual media to make finding that perfect memory a breeze. Once you’ve added the perfect categories to your folders, use the new category filter tool to find all of the files associated with those categories. This makes separating those [family] [holiday] photos from your [work] [holiday] photos lightning quick – even with thousands of photos. You can check this feature out from the new “Categories” section of the Info Panel while in grid or single photo view.
  • Apple Photos Support:
  • Good news for Apple Photos users: Mylio can now import directly from Photos on macOS Catalina. Even better? Mylio maintains a connection with Apple Photos, so any new photos added to Apple Photos will automatically be added to Mylio. Our new Apple Photos integration works a lot like our existing iOS and Android import, so be sure to read up on how this feature can work for you. You can link Mylio to Apple Photos by selecting “Photos” as the import source in Mylio’s import menu.
  • The Right Stuff:
  • Now you can right-click on photos or folders to “download originals or previews” from a device that has them. This makes your workflow even more efficient than ever. There is now a switch in the settings so you can toggle syncing with cloud services off/on. We also added a shortcut to “ignore untagged people” for macOS and Windows (cmd+0 and ctrl+0 respectively).
  • Life Events:
  • To personalize your calendar view, we’re introducing a higher priority choice called Life Event. If you have multiple Events of the Day, Month, or Year, you can pick one as a Life Event to ensure the cover for that calendar day is set appropriately. For instance, if 2019 was a big year for you with a wedding, an international vacation, and the birth of your first child, all of these items may be marked as Event of the Year. Choosing one of these events as a Life Event will ensure that it’s displayed as the cover image for 2019. This feature can be found within the Priority drop-down for all events.
