- One can now align all their notes either to the left of the screen or to the right of the screen.
- One can hide the toolbar of a note if they do not too much clutter on the note window.
New in Notes 0.5 (Jun 27, 2009)
- New Features:
- Notes will now start with your system startup. Also, the
- Notes icon will appear in the taskbar/system tray. The old
- Notes icon is hidden by default and one has to un-hide it if they would like it to be shown on screen.
- Instead of a close button, each note now has a hide button at the top right corner. Clicking the hide button only hides the note but does not delete the note's contents forever.
- To bring back a hidden note back in to view, one has to un-hide from the notes list. The notes list can be opened by selecting the appropriate menu item from the system tray icon's or the Notes icon's right click menu.
- Keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-N to create a new note, Ctrl-P to print the note, Ctrl-W to hide the note are now active.
- One can view and search through all the notes by selecting the appropriate menu item from the system tray icon's or the Notes icon's right click menu.
- The only way one can remove/delete a note forever is by selecting the appropriate menu item from the note-caption's right click menu.
- Bug fixes:
- Doing an Alt-F4 on the Notes icon did not save the notes.
- This is now fixed.
New in Notes 0.4 (Jun 18, 2009)
- New Features:
- Ctrl-A, Ctrl-Left, Ctrl-Right are now active in the text area of a note. They perform their standard task.
- Complete right-click menu with keyboard shortcuts is now available for the text area.
- Better reminder when closing a note.
- Single instance checker has been implemented. A single user cannot start two instances of Notes.
- On a single system, different users will now have their own set of notes. A user cannot view notes of other users.
- Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug wrt the priority of new notes. Priority of new notes was slipping back to LOW on restarting otes.
- Fixed a bug when with pasting. The pasted text was not replacing the selection if present.

- Each note now has a tool button for changing the note's caption.
- Keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V and Ctrl-X are now active.
- Each note now has a priority indicator at the top left corner.
- Each note now has a close(x) button at the top right corner.

- Priority windows and setting priorities for notes has been removed.
- This feature will come back with a better interface in a future release.
- Each note will now have a tool bar.
- A small Notes icon appears at the bottom left corner of each note.
