New in Octo Browser 1.10.4 (Sep 27, 2023)

  • Octo Browser ships new features that make spoofing more secure and your work more comfortable. Update 1.10 expands profile and browser fingerprint configuration options. We have also added multiple restoring of previously deleted profiles and other useful features, and a new way to run surveys will speed up user feedback and help make future releases even better.
  • Selecting the OS version and macOS architecture:
  • Basic profile settings are now deeper and more flexible. You can choose your Windows and macOS version, or your MacBook processor architecture to make fingerprint spoofing even more secure. These parameters affect creating a profile, quick profiles, and templates.
  • Such fingerprint elements as fonts collections differ from one OS version to another. Likewise, possible GPUs also differ depending on the macOS version and architecture (Intel or ARM). Algorithms that check user accounts can detect such discrepancies in the browser fingerprint and flag them as abusing the rules or a possible threat to the platform, which in turn might lead to denial of access to the platform resources and bans. This is why fingerprint spoofing quality increases when profile fingerprint settings are thoroughly thought through and coincide with the user OS.
  • Octo Browser takes into account all possible parameter interrelations and uses only reliable fingerprint parameter settings. Once a profile is created, the OS version and architecture can't be changed. If a user changes the OS version or architecture, the browser will automatically update the User Agent field.
  • Restoring profiles from Trash:
  • We heard the wishes of our users regarding working with Trash, and consequently expanded the functionality of restoring previously deleted profiles. Profiles are still kept in the Trash Bin for 48 hours, and you can restore a profile once per week for free as before; however, if you need to restore a profile more often, we have added a possibility to do so for the price of 1 token.
  • Import cookie counter:
  • The total number of found cookies is now displayed in the UI when importing files. This is useful for quickly checking the cookies and verifying their amount when cookie files have been acquired from third parties.
  • Notification about closing the browser:
  • Have you ever closed Octo Browser by accident and lost a part of what you were doing? No more! We have added a notification window asking you to confirm closing the browser if it has running profiles.
  • User surveys:
  • We have decided to run surveys right in the browser: this is a convenient way to send your feedback just in a couple of clicks. This new tool speeds up processing your feedback and suggestions and positively affects future updates.
  • In addition to internal surveys, you might receive invitations to take part in more detailed interviews on an external platform. We take choosing service platforms for such interviews very seriously, and we are not interested in collecting your personal data. Following such links is entirely safe.

New in Octo Browser 1.9.1 (Jun 28, 2023)

  • FAQ, feedback, and live chat in the browser:
  • Now the technical support is even easier to reach, as the browser comes with a widget that allows quick access to FAQ. You can also use it to send bug reports and chat with our technical support right in the browser, without having to go to the website and using the chatbot.
  • FAQ:
  • Here we have accumulated the most common questions and solutions, and you can perform a quick search in our Knowledge Base.
  • Feedback form:
  • Now you can send us bug reports, or simply any feedback you might have without leaving the browser.
  • Live chat:
  • Our technical support will see the account that requires help and will suggest a solution to the problem you might be experiencing.
  • New design of the profile status when launching and stopping profiles:
  • Those working with a large number of profiles will be particularly excited about our newest feature redesigning the profile status (its launch and stop). Now the relevant notifications will not appear at the top of the window, but instead will be displayed right in the interface of the affected profiles.
  • Safe profile stopping:
  • We have received a number of requests for a feature that will safely stop a profile if it becomes clear that its launch is taking too much time. Now this process can be interrupted safely without damaging the affected profile.
  • Changes to working with proxies:
  • An important change introduced in this release is a redesigned interface for working with proxies. Now you can configure them in an interactive string without having to use a separate window. The new interface speeds up your work, allowing you to find the necessary proxy using search, or selecting it from the drop-down list. You can use the Set new proxy button in this list to set the necessary proxy configuration, or you can use a new method altogether: now you can type the necessary data in the correct format right into the string, and the proxy will be ready to go.
  • Copying proxy settings to the clipboard:
  • Our favorite feature of this update allows you to conveniently copy proxy settings from a profile. Click on Copy proxy, and the data from all filled-out fields will be copied.
  • Adding proxy sets to a template:
  • We have increased the number of available options for creating profile templates. Now you can specify several proxies in the template settings, which will be randomly assigned to new profiles created from that template.
  • Selecting a template in the profile settings:
  • Now you can use the settings of the selected template to edit already existing profiles, and it is now easier to create a template altogether, as you don’t need to go through extra steps to activate templates. The active template is always applied to quick profiles, and is used by default when creating standard profiles.
  • Importing start pages:
  • It is now easier to configure profiles, as you can bulk-add start pages, and you don’t have to add links one by one. You can add up to 20 URLs to the browser at the same time.
  • Optimized Windows performance:
  • We are proud to report that we were able to increase the browser performance and significantly lower resource consumption for our Windows users.
  • UI redesign:
  • We are preparing to introduce new functions in upcoming releases, and for this reason we have changed the size of control elements, fonts, and indents. Overall, our UI is now more compact.

New in Octo Browser 1.8.2 (Feb 16, 2023)

  • Octo Browser now has a highly-requested dark UI theme. You can choose between the light and dark themes depending on your preferences.
  • You can now set up your bookmarks bar easier and quicker: you can add the necessary bookmarks during profile creation. Now you don’t have to look for and add the necessary links every time: you can keep them as bookmarks without running a profile.
  • You can now set up your bookmarks bar easier and quicker: you can add the necessary bookmarks during profile creation. Now you don’t have to look for and add the necessary links every time: you can keep them as bookmarks without running a profile.
  • With the Update 1.8, the user’s current OS will be used by default to create a fingerprint when creating a profile. This will safeguard the profile against possible discrepancies in browser fingerprints for different operating systems.
  • The Octo Browser Team constantly perfects the processes that guarantee full functionality and availability of our browser and its services for all our clients.
  • In the regions where there are threats of possible CloudFlare bans, we have redistributed traffic to alternative DNS services. These measures serve to guarantee stability of our servers' functionality if any attempts at Internet regulation take place.
  • We have added a function that allows you to quickly update and fix your User Agent (by applying the current one), if it has been edited manually. Incorrect information in this string can easily be traced and may compromise your fingerprint. We have added a button that quickly updates the User Agent to correspond to the actual browser version to avoid unnecessary suspicions from the websites you visit.
