  • Bug fix: Fixed the check for Internet address changes and return from suspend which restarts the PhotoSync auto detection service. PhotoSync crashed in some configurations or showed some strange errors.
  • New preferences layout. Added separate tabs for send and receive options
  • New transfer folder setting. It is now possible to define multiple transfer locations. A transfer location can be changed quickly from the application menu. With the next major update of PhotoSync for iOS (release 2.0) these folders can be selected as target destinations on the iOS device.
  • New: Minimize button in the transfer window to minimize the window during transfer.

  • Added a setting in preferences to set the name of the PhotoSync Companion 'device' manually to use another name than the computer name, e.g. 'Jaynes PhotoSync'.
  • Upload of photos by date is not longer done by comparing the file date. PhotoSync Companion now uses the EXIF date of the photos instead and only uses the file date if the pictures don't have an EXIF date.
  • Added an updated security certificate to PhotoSync Companion. The 'old' certificate expires on September, 17.
  • Bug fix: 'Saved Photos' is now the default selected album for photo uploads.
  • Bug fix: The update check window is no longer a modal window blocking all actions e.g. on Computer startup
