SynthExport Changelog

What's new in SynthExport 2.0.0

Mar 14, 2016
  • The Photosynth 2 preview and the fact that it's been almost four years since the last update warrant a new version of SynthExport. SynthExport 2 has been rewritten in large parts and brings the following changes:
  • Support for downloading images/cube map of synths
  • Support for v2 photosynths
  • Faster downloads by multiple simultaneous connections
  • Progress indicator in the task bar (Windows 7 and higher)
  • Selected export format is remembered
  • Support for loading data from the local collection.synth.bin file has been removed
  • Depends now on .NET Framework 4.5.1 and therefore no longer supports Windows XP

New in SynthExport 1.0.2 (Apr 2, 2010)

  • Photosynth webservice reference updated to work with the new site
  • OBJ file format support added (Note: this format doesn't support vertex colors)

New in SynthExport 1.0.1 (Mar 9, 2010)

  • The CSV export format has been replaced by X3D support. Also, it is now possible to export to the ASCII or binary variant of PLY. The binary version is recommended for programs that support it (e.g. MeshLab), as it is much faster to generate and parse.
  • Improved performance of writing the output file
  • Minor code cleanups
  • Added licenses to Readme.txt
