New in ProSelect 2020r1.2 (Oct 9, 2020)

Star Ratings:
As well as using set and tabs to group your images, each image can now also be rated using a 1-5 star rating system. Simply use the menu shortcuts Cmd/Ctrl 1-5 to set a rating or click a rating star in the Information Bar.
Any ratings applied in Lightroom can be imported into ProSelect when adding or updating images through the new ProSelect Lightroom Plug-in.
You can use the Image List filter to only show images of a selected rating, a selected rating, or higher or no rating.
The previous Photographer's Favorite thumbnail tag icon has been changed to a "thumbs up" symbol
You can also sort the images in your album by star rating using Sort Album Images by -> Rating (under the Album Menu).
Calibrate Rooms:
In the Setup Rooms window, when in Calibrate mode (the rule icon) and you are dragging the ends of the ruler, a circular magnified view at the end of the ruler makes it easier to precisely align with the item that you are measuring. Just place the center of the crosshairs on the edge of the item that you are measuring.
Close-Up Room View:
In Working with Rooms, a new Close-up Room View option replaces the slideshow view icon.
When clicked, the currently selected items in the room (or all items if none selected) are enlarged to within the display area size with the room still shown in the background.
If you have multiple items displayed, then select fewer items, you can click on the Select Size View or Close-up Room view icons again to update the Display Area to just show the selected items.
Legends on Exported Sample Room Images:
Export Selected Room Images (File Menu) now includes the option to Add Sizes Legend. This will add a layout and sizes legend to the right-hand side of the exported images. Great for sending room design images to your clients.
Slideshow Enhancements:
Slideshow Styles now give you the option to show images with any applied Mats and Frames during the slideshow.
This setting is under the Advanced tab in the Setup Slideshow Styles window.

"Bleed Smart" in Working with Books:
When designing Composite Books, ProSelect is now using Bleed Smart technology to dynamically adjust the size and position of elements in any template added to your books.
Any newly added templates are scaled to fit within the final page space (within any bleed and gutter restrictions). Any elements that are touching the edge of the template are extended to the outside edges past any bleed or gutter lines. Bleed Smart will thus maintain any surrounding space around the openings in the template (regardless of the book design's bleed or gutter settings) while ensuring any openings or graphics blocks intended to run into the bleed or gutter areas still do so.
Page layouts will also be dynamically readjusted when your pages change sides (such as when inserting or removing pages in the book) as well as when rotating or flipping pages horizontally or switching to a different Book Design.
Improved Double-Spread control:
Book Designs now allow you to select how double-spreads pages are produced through High-Res Production.
The Combine into Double-Spreads option will combine any single-sided book pages in a double-spread book into one double-spread output file. This allows you to combine, on output, pages with different Inner Mat Designs and Overlay images on each side of the page, which you can't do within ProSelect.
When using Export -> Selected Sample Book Pages, you can now also combine separate left and right side pages into spreads.
Book Preview Improvements:
In Working with Books, Show Pages view (and Thumbnail view) now displays the pages with any bleed removed. Any gutter area is drawn as a dark grey transparent vertical bar over the gutter part of the page.
In Cropping View, the entire page is shown with bleed lines as cyan-colored dashed lines match those in Working with Layouts.
Fast Template Edit-Copy-Replace:
When Working with Layouts or Books, ProSelect now remembers the Templates names of the last three edited templates, allowing you to quickly swap an existing layout or book page to one of these by choosing Swap Template to... from the right-click popup menu when you click on the layout or page.
This allows you to quickly create a new version of an existing template by opening the layout/page's associated template in the Template Editor, duplicating the template, modifying it, and then swapping layout/page to the new version.
Alterative RAW Image Editor Support
You can now select an alternative RAW file editor in the Preferences other than Photoshop or Lightroom.
To work, the selected editor must support opening an image using the OpenDocument system call (such as the latest release of Capture One).
With another RAW editor selected, the keyboard shortcuts move to that editor.
Export Lightroom Filename List (Pro Only):
As an alternative to using the ProSelect Lightroom Plug-in, ProSelect Pro users can now also use Export Lightroom Filename List (under File menu) to create a Lightroom compatible search list of a range of images in the current album file.
This includes the currently selected images, the images in the current tab and set, ordered images (with and without digital file orders), ordered digital files, or images in the currently selected book.
You can either copy this to the clipboard or export the list to a file if you wish to transfer it to another computer.

High-Res Production Changes & Improvements:
To prevent errors, when Sending a Book to Production, any pages from the selected book already in Production are automatically removed when sending them again. The Send Selected Pages to Production option has been removed.
When Sending Books to Production, the displayed name in the Production window now shows (L), (R), or (DS) to indicate the page side or if a double-spread.
When Exporting a Production Package, you can now separately select whether to include Ordered Print Images and Ordered Digital files in the exported Package Folder. You can select to include Original Images and Raw images for these items.
Added a new High-Res Production Folder name option of Album Name with Date Prefix. The date is in the format of YYYY-MM-DD so that the folders can be easily sorted in Finder (on Macs) or File Explorer (on Windows).
The preview images in the High-Res Production window now displays any bleed and gutter lines (a set in the Book Design) on selected composite book pages.
When running Production on any composite book pages, all images are now exported to a separate output subfolder whose name is a combination of the book name plus the book design name. The image file names are always shown as "Side X" or "Side X-Y".
StudioCloud Integration Changes:
Added to new option (in Preferences > General > Integration) so that each time an album is opened that is linked to a StudioCloud invoice, it checks to see if any payments have been added to the invoice that are not in ProSelect and prompts if you wish to add these.
When invoices are sent to StudioCloud, it now checks for additional payments and prompts you to add those against the current ProSelect order.
Other Changes:
In Working with Images, you can use the new Rotate Crop 90 tool (when in Cropping view) or the Rotate Crop 90 menu command (under Edit Menu) to rotate the current crop by 90 degrees.
Exporting orders in CSV format now include product code (when enabled) and any associated notes in the exported file.
The Snapshot tool has been removed from the right-hand toolbar to free up some space on smaller screens. You can still use the Export options (under the File menu) to export sample images of all the areas previously covered by the Snapshot tool.
In the Edit Book Designs window, you can now export and import book designs as a CSV format file by clicking on the Import and Export buttons while holding down the Alt/Option Key.
In Working with Books, the Book Design size and type are no longer added after the Book Design name in the top bar when in Thumbnail view. Rather, it is now displayed in the top right of the Info bar in this view.
The Preferences option (under Importing Images) to "Always Reload when Re-linking" has been removed as this is now the only setting available in the High-Res Production window. The menu option to "Reset All Production Links" has been removed from the Production menu as it is no longer needed.

[FIX][WIN] - Preferences window controls are now even number widths to prevent their right edges from disappearing if you set your screen scaling to 150%.
[WIN] - Added option to select Photoshop CC 2020 in Preferences as the Photo and/or RAW editor.
[FIX] - If you use the Image filter "Hide used Images" in Working with Books then those images are no longer hidden when you change back to Working with Images.
In Working with books, thumbnail view, if you are using the delete key and have more than two pages or spreads selected, you now be prompted with the message "Are you sure that you wish to delete the selected XX book pages or spreads?".
[FIX] - Any locked crop settings are now saved and restored from your album files.
[FIX][WIN] - The Available Memory in debug log no longer shows incorrectly if the value is too large.
[FIX][MAC] - No longer gives an error if you try to close the Place Order window with the escape key while the Export Orders sheet window is still closing.
[FIX][MAC] - Image filenames with forward-slashes and within folder names containing forward-slashes can now be opened and produced in Photoshop CC 2020.

[FIX][MAC] - You can no longer close the Messages window while it is still loading its content. This prevents some odd errors.
[FIX] - No longer gives an error in the download music window if you try to close the window before the download is complete.
[FIX][MAC] - No longer gives an error if you try to close the Setup Sharing sheet window before it is fully open.
[FIX][MAC] - No longer gives an error if you try to closing the Custom Product window from with the Place Order Window before it is fully open.
[FIX][MAC] - No longer gives an error if you try to close a sheet while linking an album to StudioCloud before the windows are fully open by pressing Escape multiple times.
[FIX] - In Preferences -> High-Res Production, you can no longer accidentally add spaces before or after your entered Output Foldername, Suffix or Prefix names. Doing this would prevent High-Res Production from exporting images to these folders.
[FIX] - You can no longer set up gallery wraps that will result in 0x0 face sizes. The maximum wrap/bleed is now 5" (for all templates ) or 1/3 of face size for fixed-size templates (whichever is less).
[FIX] - Resizing a template with a wrap now forces you to first remove the wrap if the resulting face size will be less than or equal to zero.
[FIX] - No longer give an error if you resize a layout with a wrap if the resulting face size is less than zero.
[FIX] - Minor text changes.
[FIX] - The Image List tab count now correctly shows the number of images in each tab after running a slideshow with Mirror Display Area turned on and using the down-arrow key to move images into a different tab.
[FIX] - 16-bit original images no longer fail to be processed by Perfectly Clear when used in High-Res Production. The PerfectlyClear Helper app version has been updated to 1.0.12.

Automated Retouching:
ProSelect now supports automatic retouching using built-in Perfectly Clear technology.
This allows you to quickly pretouch your album images before the sales session using one of fifteen presets crafted by a master retoucher. You can easily compare results from each preset to choose the best one for your image then apply your selected settings to multiple images. Available enhancement presets include blemish removal, skin softening, eye enhancing, teeth whitening and exposure adjustment. The use of Perfectly Clear technology is part of your TimeExposure PLUS benefits.
Slideshows get even more flexible:
Multi-segment slideshows:
In ProSelect Pro, you can now link multiple slideshows together to play or export as one slideshow. This allows you to build a slideshow with separate sections using different slideshow styles (with different speeds, backgrounds and music).
With five slideshow groups available in ProSelect Pro, you can have up to five segments in your slideshow and even design two multi-segment slideshows (for example, one with 2 or 3 segments and the other with 2 segments).
Swapping Slideshows around:
When building a combined slideshow, you now also can quickly swap around the order of your slideshows using the new Adjust Slideshow Order window (under the Slideshow Menu).
Hint: To keep track of your slideshow parts in your combined slideshow, you can change the name of any slideshow using Change Set Names (under the Album menu) or by Alt/Option clicking on the Slideshow name in Working with Slideshows (Thumbnail view).
Individual slide timing
You can now adjust the slide timing on individual frames or Album Sets to allows more or less time on individual images.
For example, you may wish to spotlight an image of a family group by showing it longer and speeding up images of behind the scenes shots to give your shows more variety.
Use the new left-click toolbar control to set the frame time to shorten or extend the display of any image or selected series of images.
Mixing Video Clip Sound and Slideshow Music:
You can now have both video clip sound and music playing at the same time with the music playing at an adjustable volume level in the background. You can set this for each video clip or for all selected clips.
Easy inclusion of favorites:
You can include all of your Favorite Items in your slideshow by dropping the new Favorites Album Set into your Slideshow timeline. This will automatically add any items marked as a favorite (from both images and layouts) across all sets and tabs. You also use the commandConvert Selected Sets to Slides to instantly populate individual favorite items into the slideshow then re-arrange them as you wish.
Build Slideshows automatically with new Slideshow Templates:
You can now create multiple templates for slideshows consisting of any mix of videos (Pro Only), title slides and album sets (including the new Favorites one) with a preassigned Slideshow Style. Slideshow templates are saved in your ProSelect Data file and can be shared between computers.
In the Manage Slideshow Templates window, you can setup ProSelect to automatically create a new slideshow structure using a selected Slideshow Template for any or all of your slideshows whenever you start a new ProSelect Album.
Slideshow templates are another slideshow resource which, in Working with Slideshows (Thumbnail view), can be dragged and dropped into your slideshows timeline to be included in that slideshow. Once added, the template expands to individual resources automatically populating the show. These templates can be as simple or complex as you like, making it fast and easy to design, play and export professional looking slideshow movies.
Easier Swapping of Images between Book pages:
In Working with Books, thumbnail view, you can now use drag and drop to move or swap images between different book pages. Hold down the Alt/option key while clicking on an image to start the drag. If the opening that you drop the image into already has an image in it, the dragged image will be swapped with image in the drop location. This functionality also works in Working with Layouts, Thumbnail view.
New Mat Type:
We have added a new Mat Design Type called Graphics Block Only which allows to only specify a graphics block color or image on any layout without adding any mats around the openings. This can be used to simulate mounts for some traditional matted wall groupings with no surrounding features.
Mat Assembly Made Easier:
Like Traditional Matted Layouts and Book pages in ProSelect 2019r1, ordered Prints with Traditional Mats can now optionally be produced, in position, floated, so a traditional cut mat can be directly applied. Print and mat assembly becomes quick and accurate.
Select these items in the Traditional Matted Production Options window (under the Production Menu).
Other changes:
In Working with Slideshows, Preview Slideshow Slides View, starting a slideshow will play from the current slide onwards.
To prevent lags on slower computers when playing a slideshow, by default, complex frames containing layouts, rooms and book pages are now pre-assembled and buffered before the slideshow starts playing. This setting can be turned off on the Preferences -> Slideshow -> Slideshow Settings -> Performance -> Pre-Buffer Layouts and Rooms.
The last used Category and Group for Working with Books is now saved in the Preferences and will be restored between sessions.
You can now use the Alt/Option+delete keyboard shortcut to quickly remove any applied frames and surrounding mats to selected layouts and prints. When Working with Images, this only works in Select Size view.
You can use the Image List filter to Show only Pretouched Images or Images Not Pretouched
In the High-Res Production Preferences, you now have the option to have all your digital files created as high-quality jpg images regardless of your general Print output settings.
When starting production, the Output Completed icon is now cleared for the items being produced so if production does not complete on all items, you can easily see which items were not completed.
If any missing resource images or original images are found when starting High-Res Production, then the details of the missing items are now shown in a new dialog window.

Made a Mistake? - Just Undo it!:
With this release we have added support for Undoing many operations. This is a multi-level undo which you can invoke using the "Undo (Operation Name)" command from Edit Menu (or using the Cmd/Ctrl-Z shortcut).
See the ProSelect Reference Manual for the list of operations that you can use this with.
Select Size & Room View Adjust Image Position:
You can now use Alt/Option drag to adjust the position of an image within the print size area while in Select Size View when Working with Images. So, when switching an image from a square format size to a pano size (or anything in between) you can easily show your images with a perfect crop for each format without needing to move to Cropping view and back.
Your last cropping adjustments are associated with each image size's aspect ratio during your sales session so your last cropping adjustment will be re-displayed with each size. When you order the image at that size, your cropping settings are automatically transferred to the ordered item.
Likewise, you can use Alt/Option drag to make position adjustments to prints displayed on a wall when in Working with Rooms.
Compare Image Snapshots:
This great new feature allows you to instantly get back to a recently selected groups of images with the click of your mouse. Here's how it works...
Select a bunch of images with a similar pose in Thumbnail view (or from the Image List on the left side)...
ProSelect will automatically save your last five groups of selections, keep track of how many are left in each selection and allow you to instantly show them again in Working with Images from almost anywhere in ProSelect.
You can also "pin" any Compare Images Selection groups that you want to come back to later on.
Easier Identifying of Images:
No longer do your clients need to say "Middle one second row" - just hold the "N" key down to have a number temporarily overlayed on each item making it easy for them to tell you which ones they like best. This works with Images, Layouts and Rooms. You can adjust the number's size, color and opacity in the Preferences.
Templates - more choices and more flexibility:
Reduce your template clutter, by setting your book template categories to only appear when you are Working with Books. Likewise when Working with Layouts.
You can also fine tune which groups of templates that you wish to have available using the new Select Multiple Groups option.
Let your creativity soar with styles now supporting "fit to top center" and "fit to bottom center" options when using images with center-focussed elements for your mat backgrounds and graphics blocks.
Order Custom Products for Images:
Want to sell a print that's not in your price list? The new Custom Product button for Prints lets you order any print size with any presentation option and even adjust the cropping at the time of ordering. If you have applied a custom crop to the image being ordered, check the Constrain Proportions checkbox to maintain those proportions for any ordered size. Super simple, super quick.
Re-inforce what a great deal they are getting:
Check the Include Total Savings option in the Order Report Setup window and ProSelect will automatically add up all the discounts you have applied to their order and show the "regular" price and their Total Savings making it easy for them to say "Guess how much money I saved us today..." to their partner!
Use Tax Inclusive prices:
If you work in a country that normally includes the tax as part of your price list prices, you can now use the tax option Prices List include Tax to have ProSelect automatically calculate and display the total amount of tax included at the bottom of your Order Report/Invoice.
Notes on Steroids:
Notes are a great way to keep track of exactly what your client wants. You can add a note to just about anything then choose whether to include these in your Order Report.
To make your sales session run smoother, you can now setup commonly used notes in the Notes Library and quickly add them to any selected item from the new Add/Edit notes window or by right-clicking on the Notes tool.
You can also apply notes to other items without leaving the Add/Edit Notes window using the Next Item and Previous Item buttons.
Never miss a message:
With so much spam clogging our in boxes these days, it's easy to miss important information that will keep ProSelect working most effectively for you. So we have incorporated a new messaging system into the software.
In a non-intrusive way, you can now easily see when a new message is available - things like: we have replied to your Support Ticket enquiry, a new ProSelect software update is available, your frame supplier has recently updated their frames on our resources page, a new educational webinar is coming up or your account needs attention.
If your computer is connected to the internet, ProSelect will periodically check for any new messages and let you know so you can keep focussed on the task at hand.
Synching Payments with StudioCloud:
You can now sync payments in a ProSelect order with those in StudioCloud if you have subsequently added or removed any payment to StudioCloud after having imported or exported an invoice from/to StudioCloud.
Easier troubleshooting when running Photoshop automation:
You can now use the new Test Photoshop Connection button in the Preferences to easily check if ProSelect can correctly connect to Photoshop and which version it is talking to. Hold the SHIFT key down and press this button to test your connection to the Adobe's Extendscript Toolkit Debugger.
Windows users can now also use the SHIFT key when launching any command that connects to the latest versions of Photoshop to send those comnands to the Extendscript Toolkit Debugger when tracking down any scripting issues.
Working with External Retouching Services:
Do you use an external re-touching service that supports ProSelect? If so, you will love the new ability to create a Production Package folder complete with copies of all the original images (and associated RAW files, if selected) that have been ordered and/or added to a book.
You can also choose to export a Production Album which is a special read-only copy of the client's ProSelect album already re-linked to the original images in this folder. To protect your studio's and your client's privacy, you can also choose to have the client's contact details, order prices and payments removed from the Production Album. This new feature is only available in ProSelect Pro.
Other changes:
Added support for the tags [YEAR] and [SHORTYEAR] in text stamps to ensure your copyright stamps will always show the current year.
Added the option to have the page side name appended to the production file name when exporting prints for traditional matted books. This make is really easy to work out which prints go on which pages when assembling your album.
You can now set a three digit starting sequence number that will be prepended to the filenames of your Exported Sample Images, Layouts, Rooms and Book pages
Added new import resolution option of 3240 x 2160 (for 4K TV display).
In Working with Slideshows, thumbnail view now shows a warning icon on any title slide thumbnails if the slide is missing any text tag data. If so, just right-click on the slide and open the Edit Slideshow Personalized Text window to quickly provide the missing information.

New in ProSelect 2018r1 (Apr 19, 2018)

Professional Mats on Images and Layouts:
ProSelect 2018r1 now supports the display and ordering of almost any industry-standard Mat Design on both Images and Layouts making it easy to order real products that exactly match your designs in ProSelect.
ProSelect comes with over 100 pre-setup mats for you to use. You can also use the built-in Mat Designer to create additional mats with features that can include these elements
Mats can be applied as a:
Surrounding mat around images and composite layouts. In these cases, the mat's width is fixed by your Mat Design.
Inner Mat to control the appearance of the mat area WITHIN both traditional matted and composite layouts and book pages. In these cases, the template's design controls the outer most mat area with the Mat Design controlling the size of the seond and third mats around each opening in the layout or book page.
Mats replace Template Styles used in ealier versions and any existing styles are automatically converted into the new Mat Designs when you first install the new version.
When using a Mat on a Composite Layout and Book Page, you can now select whether the mat borders surrounding each opening in the layout are applied in an inwards (as in previous versions) or outwards direction giving you even more design flexibility. Traditional Matted Layouts now only apply mats in an outwards direction to maintain exact print opening sizes for these products.
Like Frames, Mats use Price Groups to allow you setup fixed or automatic (size-based) pricing for your mats.
Mat Overlap:
Whether you are designing matted wall art or books, ProSelect accurately accounts for Mat Overlaps so you don't have to worry. You can select a different mat overlap size for different print size ranges. The mat overlap for the selected item is shown in the Info bar and as a cyan edge in Cropping View.
Mat Production Options:
Mats can be ordered as either a:
Traditional Mat - when you want to deliver a physical cut mat on the final product, or
Virtual Mat - when you want to have the mat produced digitally, through High-Res Production*, as part of the final printed item.
This gives you total flexibilty on how you wish to deliver your products.
The Ordered Mats Report* provides full specifications for all Traditional Mats so your mat supplier/framer can accurately build final products that match your designs. You can print the report with dimensions in decimal inches, decimal fractions (adjusted to 1/16") or centimeters.
Additional Built-In Resources:
ProSelect 2018r1 adds even more built-in Rooms, Templates, Mats Designs (some with Fillet Frames) to the great selection already included in the 2017r1 release. These are automatically installed with fresh machine installations and can be manually added to existing setups using the Install 2018 Default Resources option (under File Menu -> ProSelect Data).
Lock in your Custom Crops:
Your custom Crop can now be Locked on any image. Locked Crops Ratios keep the same crop when images are sized up or down. Images without a Locked Crop Ratio automatically crop to match the selected Print Paper Size.
Vignette:
You can now be apply a Low or High Key Vignette to one or more selected images to instantly give your images some extra punch.
Work Faster with Contextual Menus:
To speed up working within ProSelect, there are new right-click contextual menus throughout the program.
More Info at a Glance:
The Info bar is now three lines high to provide more information on the selected item. When using layouts & books, you can quickly switch layout types and border directions using the buttons on the right-hand side. If you are using two screens and have ProSelect's Mirror Display Area option turn on, then only you see this information.
Cropping View in Working with Rooms:
You can now use Cropping View when in Working with Rooms to make fine cropping adjustments in any selected layouts and prints in a room. Just select the items and press the "C" key.
Adjustable Wall Groupings:
When Working with Rooms, you can adjust the positions of the prints in a Wall Grouping Layout by right-clicking on the wall grouping and selecting Adjust Wall Grouping from the popup menu (see above) or using the Edit ->Wall Grouping menu. This allows you to quickly adjust the spacing of any item (opening) in a Wall Grouping Layout after adding or changing any surrounding mats or frames. Since the adjusted Wall Grouping is still one item, the entire design can be easily added as one Custom Product to your order.
If you need even more flexibility, you can use Separate a Wall Grouping... to break the grouping into individual duplicate prints. Each Print can now be individually sized, framed and matted.
Finally, select two or more Prints in a Room and use Combine Into Wall Grouping Layout to create a single layout ready to be ordered as a Custom Product.
Template Shapes:
Templates can now have any irregular outside shape by assigning a B&W shape (mask) file to the template. Combine this with an overlay image to design and show almost any custom product including dye-cut press-printed products.
As well as this, openings in a template can now be set to use the common geometric shapes: Rectangle (default, as before), Round Rectangle, Circle, Oval, Diamond or Hexagons. You can easily create a circular product by creating a full-sized opening set to a circular shape in a Wall Grouping template as shown on the left side below.
Image List Filtering:
When using the Images Tabs (Yes, Maybe & No), you can now filter the Image List to show only:
Original images (hides any duplicates)
Ordered Images
Images Not Ordered
Favorite Images
This filter also effects which images are shown in Thumbnail view. This is great for focusing on just the images you want to have visible. Similar options are available when using the Layouts Tab.
Price List Improvements:
You can now optionally apply a markup to Print and Layout Extras prices.
The Print Paper Sizes and Presentation Options windows now show a green check mark next to items which have been used in one or more price list items so you can quickly identify and remove any unused items.
In the Print Paper Sizes window, you now have the option to sort the sizes by Diagonal Size, Width, Height or Shape. The last option can be used to easily separate square shapes from rectangular shapes.
Add Templates to your Price List in a Flash:
Templates & layouts which have one or more associated Price List items now display with a $ sign on their thumbnails (when Show Thumbnail Tags is on under the View menu) so it's easy to know which ones you have setup and are ready to order.
In Working with Layouts (Thumbnail view), you can now right-click on a template and quickly "Add a New Price List Item" or show any existing price list items for the template in the Price List & Products window.
New Ordering Features:
Ordering a mat with a print or layout is as easy as ordering a frame. The dropdown menus are automatically set to the currently applied mat and frame when using the Quick Add button (if you have this option selected in Preferences). Prices are automatically calulated when you have this setup in your price list or you can just enter your own prices directly.
You can now adjust the cropping of an ordered print in the "Change" window and you can now rotate the cropping rectangle in the Custom Product and Add with Extras windows. Click the crop icon in the preview area to show the rotate button.
In the Place Order window, you can now use the Quick Add button to order multiple layouts at the same time provided all layouts are the same (except for the images in them!).
New Product Code Options:
You can now optionally setup ProSelect to have a different Product Code for each item in each price list.
This information is exported to external studio management systems so you can obtain sales reporting across your different price lists (subject to Studio Management support).
Ambient Music:
Your Ambient Music group can now be set to play in random play order to hear a different starting track each time it is first started.
Swipe Gesture Support:
If you are using a mouse with vertical and/or horizontal scrolling (eg Apple Magic Mouse) or a touch screen computer (eg Microsoft Surface Pro), then you can optionally use swiping gestures when in Show Images View (when Working with Images) to move images up or down to the next Image List tab. Likewise, turning on Swipe Horizontal will move the Next or Previous image.
Collections on Steriods:
Collection files are now in a new extendable format. They can be used to distribute Templates (with and without mats and frames attached), Book Designs, Styles, Mats, Frames, Rooms, Title Slides and Slideshow styles as well as any associated price list entries. This makes it easier for suppliers to prepare products for ProSelect.
New Production Features:
ProSelect's High-Res Production supports the output of Virtual Surrounding Mats on Images and Composite Layouts. Mats are added as separate layers in output to PSD files for easy post-production changes.
You can now rotate a crop in the Production window allowing easy production of a landscape orientated crop on a portrait orientated image.
When producing multi-image Traditonal Matted Layouts (or Book Pages), you can optionally choose to output any of these layouts as a composite image without any overlaying mats so you can quickly assemble the finished product by simply laying a cut mat over the whole print.
This is done in the new Traditional Matted Production Options window (under Production Menu).
StudioCloud Improvements:
Added the option to export sample images of ordered items in the XML order data sent to StudioCloud. This will be supported in StudioCloud in the near future.
Other changes:
Export Production Package (under Production Menu) now allows you to select and include original images, raw images or both (for Ordered Image and Book Image) in the production package.
The maximum allowed length for frame images is now 1000px (up from 750px) to allow more details in thinner frame sections such as fillets.
You can now use the Delete key to remove layouts and book pages from the album in Thumbnail view. You can also right-click on an item and select "Delete" from the popup menu to do the same thing. Both of these operations are Undoable.
Setup Frames window. You can now update the list of Frame Resources using the Refresh button next to this list.
In the Order Report, any Frames and Mats that are added to items at a $0 price are now displayed as "Included" rather than $0.

The Select Resource Image window is now re-sizable.
When Working with Layouts and Books, after you have turned on Smart Filtering of templates, you can use the spacebar to toggle the current filtering selection on/off to allow you to quickly show all available templates then switch back to only showing the filtered ones.
When working with Layouts and Rooms, newly added non-fixed size layouts are now always displayed at their design size when first added to an album. You can reselect this size from the Larger Size right-click menu by selecting the size with "Design" next to it.
Empty graphics blocks now display as diagonal stripes in the Template Editor (and in layouts and book pages).
When shifting to Working with Rooms from Working with Layouts, the layouts tab in the image list is now automatically selected, and the last selected layout is now visible in the list.

Professional Mats on Images and Layouts:
ProSelect 2018r1 now supports the display and ordering of almost any industry-standard Mat Design on both Images and Layouts making it easy to order real products that exactly match your designs in ProSelect.
ProSelect comes with over 100 pre-setup mats for you to use. You can also use the built-in Mat Designer to create additional mats with features that can include these elements:
Bevel Cut (white/black core)
Bevel Mount (black/silver/gold core)
Reversed Bevel Cut
Fillet frames
8 Ply Bevel Cut (white/black core)
Raised Mats
Keylines
V-Grooves
Solid color or textured
Custom widths or automatic optical centering
Mats can be applied as a:
Surrounding mat around images and composite layouts. In these cases, the mat's width is fixed by your Mat Design.
Inner Mat to control the appearance of the mat area WITHIN both traditional matted and composite layouts and book pages. In these cases, the template's design controls the outer most mat area with the Mat Design controlling the size of the seond and third mats around each opening in the layout or book page.
Mats replace Template Styles used in ealier versions and any existing styles are automatically converted into the new Mat Designs when you first install the new version.
When using a Mat on a Composite Layout and Book Page, you can now select whether the mat borders surrounding each opening in the layout are applied in an inwards (as in previous versions) or outwards direction giving you even more design flexibility. Traditional Matted Layouts now only apply mats in an outwards direction to maintain exact print opening sizes for these products.
Like Frames, Mats use Price Groups to allow you setup fixed or automatic (size-based) pricing for your mats.
Mat Overlap:
Whether you are designing matted wall art or books, ProSelect accurately accounts for Mat Overlaps so you don't have to worry. You can select a different mat overlap size for different print size ranges. The mat overlap for the selected item is shown in the Info bar and as a cyan edge in Cropping View.
Mat Production Options:
Mats can be ordered as either a:
Traditional Mat - when you want to deliver a physical cut mat on the final product, or
Virtual Mat - when you want to have the mat produced digitally, through High-Res Production*, as part of the final printed item.
This gives you total flexibilty on how you wish to deliver your products.
The Ordered Mats Report* provides full specifications for all Traditional Mats so your mat supplier/framer can accurately build final products that match your designs. You can print the report with dimensions in decimal inches, decimal fractions (adjusted to 1/16") or centimeters.
Full mat cutting data is also available in ProSelect's Production Report for direct input into mat cutting machines (coming soon).
Additional Built-In Resources:
ProSelect 2018r1 adds even more built-in Rooms, Templates, Mats Designs (some with Fillet Frames) to the great selection already included in the 2017r1 release. These are automatically installed with fresh machine installations and can be manually added to existing setups using the Install 2018 Default Resources option (under File Menu -> ProSelect Data).
Lock in your Custom Crops:
Your custom Crop can now be Locked on any image. Locked Crops Ratios keep the same crop when images are sized up or down. Images without a Locked Crop Ratio automatically crop to match the selected Print Paper Size.
Vignette:
You can now be apply a Low or High Key Vignette to one or more selected images to instantly give your images some extra punch.
Work Faster with Contextual Menus:
To speed up working within ProSelect, there are new right-click contextual menus throughout the program.
More Info at a Glance:
The Info bar is now three lines high to provide more information on the selected item. When using layouts & books, you can quickly switch layout types and border directions using the buttons on the right-hand side.

User Interface Themes:
You can now change the color theme of ProSelect's main window (under the View Menu). Below are some of the new themes that we have created... with more to come!
Digital File Ordering and Production:
Handling digital files as part of your client's order is now as simple as with other products. Just setup one or more price list items under the new Digital Files tab specifying the description, maximum output size (in pixels) and whether they are to be priced as a group or on a per image basis. You can even create associated Extras to add that professional touch.
Ordered digital files appear under a new tab in Hi-Res Production (requires ProSelect Pro), where you can use standard re-touching workflow before exporting fully rendered files, with cropping or effects automatically applied, ready to deliver to your client.
SendMyRooms Client Connection:
ProSelect integrates with TimeExposure's new SendMyRooms system. Have the system send your clients a password-protected link to this mobile-friendly web site where they can watch a video guide on how to use the camera in their phone or tablet to take and upload photos of their rooms. You can then download the images directly into their ProSelect album file, ready to be calibrated and used in the sales session.
You can brand your SendMyRooms site with your studio details and even have it send your clients a gentle email reminder to upload some images if they haven't already done so before their viewing date. This new service is part of the new TimeExposure PLUS program and available for free to all current TimeExposure PLUS users.
Royalty Free Music Access:
TimeExposure Plus program members now have access to over 40,000 royalty free music tracks that you can use for your ProSelect slideshows, ambient music (in ProSelect Pro only) and exported, fully saleable, slideshow movies. You can search for, preview and download music directly into ProSelect's Setup Music window.
New Design Graphic Library:
It's now even easier to be creative with direct access to over 200,000 high resolution royalty free graphics elements that you can use to build unique products. Use these for matt backgrounds, graphics block and overlay images (some editing may be required). These elements are free to download for all TimeExposure Plus program members.
Enhanced Zooming:
Zooming in now takes advantage of the free space in the Display Area to show you more of the zoomed image. Zoom in by 1.5 times increments on every right-click or 2 times when you hold down the Alt/Option key.
Bulk Crop To Any Size:
You can now set the crop of all your selected images to any aspect ratio based on your setup Print Paper Sizes. You can also optionally select that size to be the default starting size when images are shown at actual size in Select Size view or in a Room. Just choose Crop To -> Other Crop Ratio... (under the Edit menu) to open the new dialog. The last selected Crop ratio is automatically stored as your latest Saved Crop so you can easily apply it to other images using the Crop to -> Saved Crop menu or the keyboard shortcut Shift-Cmd-V (on Macs) and Shift-Cntrl-V (on Windows).
Faster Image Importing:
To help you get the job done faster, ProSelect now takes advantage of the multiple cores in your computer to import images approximately three times faster on a computer with four cores and two times faster on a machine with two cores.
Faster Slideshow Movie Exporting on Windows:
ProSelect is no longer dependent on Apple's Quicktime on Windows computers and, as a result, movie exporting is now 5 to 10 times faster than when using Quicktime. Note that exported movies using Ken Burns effects do take a little longer than those without this effect.
Stamps & Watermarks:
The Setup Stamps, Watermarks & Logos window now allows you to select a print paper size (and orientation) to find out a stamp's actual size and offset in inches or millimeters when added to that sized print. This window can now be also resized to show a larger preview image.
100 Photoshop Actions in Pro:
The maximum number of Custom Effects Actions that you install in the Pro version has been increased to 100. ProSelect Basic allows up to 5 actions as before.
Recent Album Menu:
The Recent Albums Menu now shows the last 20 albums opened. Also, rather than hiding any missing or inaccessible albums, these are now listed with a caution icon (except for items in the trash).
Selecting a missing album will display its previous location and give you the opportunity to Try Again (after you have re-mounted a network location or drive) or just remove it from the list.
Easier Tracking of Ordered Layouts:
The color of the icons in the left hand column of the Place Order window now indicate the type of ordered item. As before, clicking on these triangles expands the item to show the included images.
Faster Ordering with Notes:
In the Place Order Window, when adding a new order, holding down the Alt/Option key while clicking on the Quick Add, Add with Extra or Custom Product buttons will automatically prompt you to add a note to the ordered item immediately after the ordering has been added. To avoid unintentional errors, this only works when ordering one item at a time.
Love using another Photo Editor? You can now:
ProSelect's Photo Editor Preferences now allows you to choose another application to use for quick edits or retouching. Once set, rather than opening Photoshop or Lightroom when you do a CMD-T (on Macs) or Cntrl-T (on Windows), it will now open your selected image(s) in your selected editor.
This will work with any application that supports the standard Open Document call which is the same process that occurs when you drop one or more images onto the application's icon. Note: Photoshop CS5 and newer is still required for Hi-Res Production.
Other changes:
The Show Number Display feature can optionally stay on until you press the "N" key again. To do this check the Toggle option in the Preferences -> Borders & Backgrounds -> Selection Number Display.
Added New frame price options - Chop Foot 6" and Chop Foot 4" used by some frame suppliers. You can now also enter your framing prices at supplier cos trates with a markup perentage.
Image flipping is now also available in Working with Images (when in Cropping View) to complement its use in Working with Layouts.
In Working with Slideshows, right-clicking on a video resource (at the bottom of the window) allows you to choose Open the Video in Setup Videos window or Edit the Selected Video from the popup menu. This works the same as right-clicking on a video in the slideshow itself.
The Export Sample Images window has been updated to show the maximum image size that can be exported based on it's imported size.
The Hi-Res Production window can now be resized to provide a larger Preview image for fine cropping adjustments.
The Template Editor now has a new toggle button (near the top left side) to show the grid over the top of the openings and graphics blocks for easier alignment of overlapping openings.
The Order Report Setup window now allows you to optionally include Layout Style names and the Album Name on your reports.
On Macs, ProSelect now uses the OSX's 64bit APIs to allow problem-free importing of .psd files saved from Lightroom. On Windows, ProSelect can now also import 16bit RGB and CMYK Photoshop files.
Sort by Width is now available in the Template Manager's sorting options. As with other Sorting options, selecting this while holding down the Alt/option key will reverse the sort order.
You can now select a different price list directly from the Quick Order menu by right-clicking on the Shopping Cart icon.
In the Place Order Window, clicking on the Presentation Option column header will sort your orders by these values. By default, items will be sorted within Prints and Layouts groups. Holding the Alt/Option Key down will sort across Prints and Layouts.
Changed the way the second screen position, size and scaling is detected when running on Windows 8 & 10 so that the Mirror Display Area screen works as expected regardless of the scaling selected for the display's scaled text and/or computers with HiDPI screens such as Microsoft's Surface Pro 4.

USER INTERFACE CHANGES:
You can now change the color theme of the main window to one of four different options using the new Themes menu (under the View Menu) include Black (default), Light Gray, Dark Gray and White. When running the new version for the first time, you are prompted to select the theme of your choice.
When installing or upgrading to 2017r1 for the for the first time you will be prompted to select which theme to use.
The thumbnail image background colors for templates and title slides and videos has been desaturated when displayed on the lighter colored themes.
All buttons on the main screen now have a more contemporary flat appearance.
When using a second screen or projector and ProSelect's Mirror Display Area, by default, the background color will be the same as that of the main screen. However, you can set it to always be black in Preferences -> Display -> Calibration & Options -> Display Mirroring -> Background Always Black.
Zooming in on an image now any uses remaining empty space around the image to show more of the image. Zooming in on cropped images shows the whole image with the cropped off area slightly dimmed. The bottom right corner of zoomed image show a rectangle the shape of the un-zoomed image with the "Remove Zoom" icon inside. Each click zooms in the following sizes x1.5, x2, x3, x4, x6, x8, x12, x16. Alternatively, you can Alt/Option-Right-Click and select the zoom amount from the popup menu.
IMPROVED PERFORMANCE:
ProSelect now uses a separate Helper app for importing images. This allows ProSelect to take advantage of multiple cores in your computer to import images faster. It is now approximately three times faster on a computer with four cores and two times faster on a machine with two cores. You can check if the Helper App is correctly installed by checking for "Image Loader: Ready" in the About ProSelect window.
ProSelect's image cache now uses free system memory rather than using part of ProSelect 3GB maximum memory allocation reducing the possibility of the program running out of memory with working with very large albums. Your computer needs at least 6GB of RAM to take advantage of this feature.
Resource thumbnail images for Templates, Rooms and Books are now saved in a system memory cache to save application memory when you have a large number of these.
MORE FRAME PRICING OPTIONS:
In the Price List Setup window, you now have the option to add a "mark-up" factor to your frame group prices. This allows you to enter your framers cost pricing with a markup. Note: The markup must be a number greater than or equal to 1 (eg 1.5 would be a 50% markup) and is only applied to the rate part but not the fixed part (if you have this selected). The Pricing Method code is changed to reflect this. eg UIxM+F = (United Inches x Markup) + Fixed Amount
Two new commonly used automatic Pricing Methods for frames have been added. These are: Chop Foot 6" and Chop Foot 4". These methods calculate the length of the frame (in feet) = circumference of mat + (8 x frame width) rounded up to next 1/2 or 1/3 of a foot respectively.
ORDERING DIGITAL FILES:
ProSelect now supports the Ordering and Production of Digital Files. Digital files can be ordered as a group of one or more images in one or more Order Line Items. These can be added to your price list under the Digital Files tab in the Price List Setup Window. You can specify a description, a presentation option, pricing method and the maximum file output size in pixels. (This will be the size of the longest side).
Pricing Methods can be either one fixed "Group Price" or based on a "Per Image Price". The latter can also have a fixed component added. Note: ProSelect does not check if you have a particular number of images in a Digital File Order Group so it is recommended for Group Priced items that you include the quantity in the description as a prompt when ordering (eg "Set of 10 Digital Files").
Digital File price list items are automatically added to the bottom of the currently selected Price List in the Place Order Window and under the Quick Order Menu.
When ordering Digital files, you can add and remove one or more images from an Digital File "Order Group". When adding images, if there are already one or more previous Digital File Order Groups, you have the option to create a new Order Group or add these images to one of the existing order Groups. To prevent accidental double ordering, the same image cannot be added more than once to a Digital File Order Group (unless has been duplicated in ProSelect).
You can setup Extras to order with any Digital File Order Group. These can be fixed price (eg "Flash Drive in Gift Box") or a per Image Price (eg "Retouch digital files"). Use Add with Extras button to include these when ordering or use the Change button to add/amend these later. When ordering with Extras the extra quantity defaults to 1 as it is taken to apply to the whole order group.
Images ordered as Digital files, show both the shopping cart icon and a new "Digital Files" icon underneath on the thumbnail image when Show Thumbnail Tags is turned on (under the View menu).
In the Order Report Setup window (under Options 2 tab), you can select to "Include Digital Order Image Names" if you wish to have these shown on the order report. Thumbnails images are not show for these items.
In Hi-Res Production, there is a new tab for producing Digital Files. You can select a digital file order group and edit/retouch images in that group the same way as with Prints and Composites. Unlike physical print orders, you can adjust the cropped aspect ratio to any shape in Production with the resulting crop will be sized (in pixels on the longest side) to the ordered size. The output size (in pixels) of the image is show at the bottom right below the Preview image box. Stamps can be added to the exported images with the default stamp for Digital Images being setup in the Preferences -> Hi-Res Production -> Styles & Stamps -> Stamps & Watermarks - Digital Files.
All digital files in the same order group will be exported into a separate folder in your specified Hi-Res production output folder making it easy to transfer these in batch to another media. The name of the folder is set to the name of the Order Item plus the order ID to ensure a unique name. If you have duplicated an images and ordered them in the same order group any copies will be suffixed with -1, -2 etc,.
TIMEEXPOSURE PLUS MUSIC ACCESS:
ProSelect now includes access to and use of over 41,000 royalty free music tracks which you can use in your ProSelect slideshows and exported slideshow movies (subject to the Terms & Conditions in your ProSelect license agreement). On-going access and use of these music tracks linked to your TimeExposure PLUS program.
In the Setup Music Window, click on the TX Plus Music button to search for, preview, select and download the available music. You can search for music by keyword, mood, genre, instruments and duration. You can have the results returned automatically listed by a number of criteria including "Highest Rating", "Most Recent" and more.
You can preview the music track by playing it in this window prior to downloading the full track. Clicking on the soundtrack graphic allows you to start preview playback at any location. Check to "Auto Preview" box to have the music preview start playing when you click on a music track.
When you downloading one or more of these music tracks, they are copied into your Music folder in your ProSelect Resources folder (with a .pmf file extension) and added to your currently selected music group. You can now see the full filename of the selected music track at the bottom of the Setup Music window.
All TimeExposure Plus music is security encrypted and can only be used in copies of ProSelect that have an active TimeExposure Plus subscription.
You can also download pre-loaded Music Groups of TX Plus Music using the TX Plus Music Collections button in the Setup Music window. Select one or more groups and click the download button to install these into ProSelect.
TIMEEXPOSURE PLUS GRAPHICS RESOURCES ACCESS:
ProSelect users now have direct access to over 200,000 high resolution royalty free graphics elements that you can use to build unique products (subject to the Terms & Conditions in your ProSelect license agreement). Use these for matt backgrounds, graphics block and overlay images (some editing may be required). These elements are free to download for all TimeExposure Plus program members.
You can search for and download images by clicking on the "P" icon in the Select Resource images window. When searching, you can select keywords, Content type, orientation, category and color theme. Resulting preview images will be displayed in the window. Click those that you wish to download then click the Download button. The files will be downloaded into the appropriate ProSelect resources folder based on where you are working at the time.
Added "Search TX Graphics" to the Resources menu. This allows the same search and download options except you can download the files into a nominated external folder. This is useful if you need to work on the files before adding them into your ProSelect Resources folder.
ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS:
You can now select a different price list directly from the Quick Order menu (by right-clicking on the Shopping Cart icon).
In the Place Order Window, when adding a new order, holding down the Alt/Option Key while clicking on the Quick Add, Add with Extra and Custom Products buttons will automatically prompt you to add a note to the ordered item AFTER the ordering is added. This only works when ordering one item at a time.
In the Place Order Window, you can now click on the Presentation Option column to sort your orders by this values. By default, these are sorted within Prints and Layouts areas. Hold the Alt/Option Key down to sort across Prints and Layouts.
In the Place Order Window the title of the second column has been changed from "Image No." to "Ordered Item" and the color of the icons in the left most column now reflects the type of ordered item. Composite layouts have a green disclosure triangle, traditional matted ones a burgundy triangle and digital file groups have a blue triangle. Clicking on the triangle expands the item to show the images associated with it.
ORDER REPORT CHANGES:
Added the option to Print any applied Layout Style name on the Order Report. This is selected under the Options 2 tab in the Setup Order Report window.
Added a new option to include (or not) the Album Name at the top of this report. This is selected under Options 1 tab -> Page Layout -> Include Album name.
Added to option to "Include Digital Order Image Names" if you wish to have these shown on the Order Report.
TEMPLATE EDITOR CHANGES:
The default wrap size is now 2".
Added a new toggle button (near the top left side) to allow you to show the grid over the top of the openings and graphics blocks for easier alignment of overlapping openings.
[DOC] Alt/Option clicking on the "Bring to Front" or "Bring to Back" icon to move the selected opening one position closer to the front or back respectively.
TEMPLATE MANAGER CHANGES:
Added "Sort by Width" to the options under the Sort tool. As with all the sort tool options, selecting this while holding down the Alt/option key will reverse the sort order.
MORE CUSTOM EFFECTS:
The maximum number of Custom Effects Actions that you install in the Pro version has been increased to 100. The basic version is still the same with 5 actions.
STAMPS, WATERMARK & LOGOS:
The Setup Stamps, Watermarks & Logos window now allows you to select a print paper size (and orientation) to see what a stamp's actual size and offset will be in inches or millimetres on an item at the selected size.
The Setup Stamps, Watermarks & Logos window can now also be resized to allow for a larger preview image.
You can now also use the tag [STUDIONAME] (and [BUSINESSNAME]) in a text copyright stamp to show your registered business name.
Report Logos Setup has now been moved from the Preferences to a new window under the Resources Menu. The setup is now saved in the ProSelect_Data.xml file so it will be automatically shared between computer if you are using one of the sharing options.
RECENT ALBUM MENU IMPROVEMENTS:
The Recent Albums Menu has been expanded to save the last 20 albums opened.
Rather than remove album files that are no longer found or accessible (except for items in the trash), the menu will show them in the list with a caution icon on left size. If you select one of these, it will let you know the location where the album file was last saved to and give you to opportunity to "Try Again" (so you can re-mount a network location or drive) or "Remove From List".
The bottom of the Recent Albums submenu now include options to "Remove Missing Abums" or to "Clear Recent Album List" and to "Refresh List". The last item is can be use if you have made any changes outside of ProSelect since you launched the software.
MORE CROPPING FLEXIBILITY:
You can now select to crop all the currently selected images to match the ratio of any size that you have setup in your Print Paper Sizes using the new Menu command Crop To -> Other Crop ratio (under the Edit menu). When using this command, you can optionally select to assign the selected print paper size as the default size for those images when showing in Select Size View or when added to a room. After using this command, the last crop ratio is automatically save into the "Saved Crop Ratio" so you can use the menu shortcut Shift-Cmd-V (on Macs) or Shift-Cntrl-V (on Windows) to apply it to any selected images.
Added support for Flip Horizontal to Working with Images in Cropping view so you can now flip images without needing to put them in a layout. The thumbnails of any flipped images show a "flipped" thumbnail tag.
SETUP ROOMS CHANGES:
Album Rooms no longer need to be added as images to the ProSelect album file. Rather, in the Setup Rooms window, you can either drop them directly into the Room list or use the Add Rooms from: Image File button to choose and import your room image files from anywhere on your computer. You can still add rooms from images that you have imported into your album file by selecting one at a time, opening the Setup Rooms window and using the Add Rooms from: Album Room button. As before, room images imported into your Library Room are saved in your ProSelect Resources folder while Album rooms are saved in the client's Album file.
You can now adjust the crop, tilt and rotation of any room images within the Setup Rooms window by selecting the Crop (scissors icon) above the preview window.
The Setup Rooms window now also allows you to search for and download room images that your clients have uploaded to SendMyRooms.com (See next section).
To help with calibrating rooms using a sheet of paper, the standard paper sizes for both Letter and A4 paper are now shown at the bottom of this window.
SEND MY ROOM INTEGRATION:
ProSelect integrates with the SendMyRoom.com service (a new TimeExposure product) which helps your clients to take and upload images of their rooms for you to use in their viewing sessions.
You can send in invitation to your clients though either your TimeExposure.com account or directly from within ProSelect using the SendMyRoom Invitation button in the Client Setup window or the SendMyRoom Invitation menu (under the Orders menu). Make sure that you enter the date and time of the client's viewing session since this will be displayed as reminder for them.
You can select to have the invitation email sent directly to them or open a new email on your computer so you can personalize it some more.
Before your viewing session, open the Setup Rooms window (under the Resources men) and click the Add Rooms from: SendMyRooms button to locate and quickly download the room images that your client has uploaded. In the window that opens, you can search by a client's name (as setup in the currently open album file) or any other name.
Normally you would have the option "With a Viewing Date from today onwards" selected so only clients with future viewing sessions are shown. Turn this off if you need to find a client with a booked session time before today's date.
In the search results box, click on client's name to show a thumbnail image of the rooms that they have uploaded. Select the rooms that you wish to download by clicking on the images or use the Check All button at the bottom, then click the Download button to start the download.
After downloading, the client's rooms will be automatically added as an Album Rooms to their Album File in the Setup Rooms window. You can then select a room, adjust the rotation, crop or tilt as required, then use the ruler to calibrate the room. They are then ready to use in ProSelect's Working with Rooms.
SUPPORT FOR OTHER IMAGE EDITORS:
You can now select different Image editor in Preferences using "Set Other Editor..." from drop down. Select the application's location from the dialog window. If you have selected a third party application, ProSelect uses the Application's Open Document handler to open the selected image or images. This is the same process that occurs when you drop one or more images onto the application's icon - some third party applications may not work this way so you can test this functionality using this method. Note: Photoshop CS5 and newer is still required for Hi-Res Production.
GENERAL CHANGES:
No longer automatically turns on the Protect Images and Show Favorites view menu setting when these stamps have been changed. Rather, ProSelect now shows a message telling you how to turn them on.
When Working with Images, Select Size View, the Info Bar now shows "Custom Crop" or "Cropped to Print Size" in the bottom right corner as determined by your current setting.
Removed option to select Lightroom 1 & 2 in the RAW image Editor setting in the Preferences. ProSelect now only works with Lightroom 3 or newer via the ProSelect Plugin for Lightroom.
ProSelect will now automatically try to re-connect to an album file that was open during a network failure or your computer going to sleep. If it is unable to do this it shows an warning message rather than an error.
You now have to option to have the "Show Number Display" option stay on until you press the "N" key again. To do this check the "Toggle" option in the Preferences -> Borders & Backgrounds -> Selection Number Display.
A new Preview Image is now used in Setup Styles, Image Effects Preferences and Test Custom Actions window.
When you Open Setup Rooms, the Album tab is now automatically selected if you have one or more images selected in Working with Images.
In Working with Slideshows, right-clicking on a video resource will show a popup menu to either Open the Video in Setup Videos window or Edit the Selected Video. This now works the same as right-clicking on a video in the slideshow.
The Export Sample Images windows has been updated to show the maximum image size that can be exported (given it's imported size).
The Hi-Res Production window can now be resized to provide a larger Preview image.
"Always Duplicate" on Custom Effects Popup menu now defaults to OFF.
Hi-Res Production Preferences "Use subfolders for each size" now defaults to ON.
Changed Hi-Res production preferences to Output Folder options to "Use Subfolders (checkbox) for each print size" to separate from Digital files output which are always in a subfolder.
Changed the wording in the Tax Setup window from "Price List Includes Tax" to "Price List Prices include Tax" to make this option clearer.

Music Setup Window now shows if the selected music track has been used in more than one music group.
Template Editor now defaults to showing template thumbnails when opened from the Template Manager. The last hide/show setting selected in the Editor is now remembered for the time that ProSelect is open.

Setup Styles window is now resizable and the preview image has been updated to make it clearer how the styles appear.
Most resizable windows now remember their size and position when you close ProSelect.
Any images that have been reloaded now display a "reloaded icon" (the same as the thumbnail tag one) in the Hi-Res Production window.
When using ProSelect Data -> Reset to default setup or Install current version default data, ProSelect now check that you have the correct version of the Default Resources folder installed and prompts you to re-install everything if not.
When using the % button to add a discount Extra line item in any of the Add with Extras windows, if you enter alternate description (to replace the default "Discount") of four or more characters in length, your entered description will be automatically saved used the next time that you apply a percentage discount.

Changed the ProSelect Data -> "Install current version default data" menu to "Install 2017r1 Default Resources". This now opens a window where you can select which resources you wish to add into your existing setup.
Removed "Show Cropped Images" and "Expand Small Images" from the View menu to simplify the options. ProSelect works as if these were always selected.
You can now select and edit any resource image from within the Select Resource Image window. It will open the image for editing in the Image Editor that you have selected in your Preferences (defaults to Photoshop). If you have multiple file types in your selected Resources folder (eg .png and .psd) then it will always open the .psd file as that is assumed to be your "master file".
ProSelect Basic users can use the included title slides which have [Client-Full-Name] embedded text tags. Any other text tags will only work if you have the Pro version.
In Working with Slideshows, a warning icon and error message is now shown in the info bar when you select an included video with an error (such as the video file is missing).
In the Select Resource Image window, the "Update png from psd" tool now uses internal methods instead of Photoshop to convert the image.

With this release we have added support for Undoing many operations. This is a multi-level undo which you can invoke using the "Undo (Operation Name)" command from Edit Menu (or using the Cmd/Ctrl-Z shortcut).

Select Size & Room View Adjust Image Position:
You can now use Alt/Option drag to adjust the position of an image within the print size area while in Select Size View when Working with Images. So, when switching an image from a square format size to a pano size (or anything in between) you can easily show your images with a perfect crop for each format without needing to move to Cropping view and back.
Your last cropping adjustments are associated with each image size's aspect ratio during your sales session so your last cropping adjustment will be re-displayed with each size. When you order the image at that size, your cropping settings are automatically transferred to the ordered item.
Likewise, you can use Alt/Option drag to make position adjustments to prints displayed on a wall when in Working with Rooms.
Compare Image Snapshots:
This great new feature allows you to instantly get back to a recently selected groups of images with the click of your mouse. Here's how it works...
Select a bunch of images with a similar pose in Thumbnail view (or from the Image List on the left side)...
Double-click to show them in Show Images View, automatically adding a new snapshot....
Select two and double-click to compare close up...:
Eliminate one using the 3 keyboard shortcut (move to No tab). Click the Snapshot icon and the remaining 4 are displayed ready for you to compare again. Super easy, super effective.
ProSelect will automatically save your last five groups of selections, keep track of how many are left in each selection and allow you to instantly show them again in Working with Images from almost anywhere in ProSelect.
You can also "pin" any Compare Images Selection groups that you want to come back to later on.
Easier Identifying of Images;
No longer do your clients need to say "Middle one second row" - just hold the "N" key down to have a number temporarily overlayed on each item making it easy for them to tell you which ones they like best. This works with Images, Layouts and Rooms. You can adjust the number's size, color and opacity in the Preferences.
Templates - more choices and more flexibility:
Reduce your template clutter, by setting your book template categories to only appear when you are Working with Books. Likewise when Working with Layouts.
You can also fine tune which groups of templates that you wish to have available using the new Select Multiple Groups option.
Let your creativity soar with styles now supporting "fit to top center" and "fit to bottom center" options when using images with center-focussed elements for your mat backgrounds and graphics blocks.
Order Custom Products for Images:
Want to sell a print that's not in your price list? The new Custom Product button for Prints lets you order any print size with any presentation option and even adjust the cropping at the time of ordering. If you have applied a custom crop to the image being ordered, check the Constrain Proportions checkbox to maintain those proportions for any ordered size. Super simple, super quick.
Re-inforce what a great deal they are getting:
Check the Include Total Savings option in the Order Report Setup window and ProSelect will automatically add up all the discounts you have applied to their order and show the "regular" price and their Total Savings making it easy for them to say "Guess how much money I saved us today..." to their partner!
Use Tax Inclusive prices:
If you work in a country that normally includes the tax as part of your price list prices, you can now use the tax option Prices List include Tax to have ProSelect automatically calculate and display the total amount of tax included at the bottom of your Order Report/Invoice.
Notes on Steriods:
Notes are a great way to keep track of exactly what your client wants. You can add a note to just about anything then choose whether to include these in your Order Report.

You can now use the new Test Photoshop Connection button in the Preferences to easily check if ProSelect can correctly connect to Photoshop and which version it is talking to. Hold the SHIFT key down and press this button to test your connection to the Adobe's Extendscript Toolkit Debugger.
Windows users can now also use the SHIFT key when launching any command that connects to the latest versions of Photoshop to send those comnands to the Extendscript Toolkit Debugger when tracking down any scripting issues.
Working with External Retouching Services.
Do you use an external re-touching service that supports ProSelect? If so, you will love the new ability to create a Production Package folder complete with copies of all the original images (and associated RAW files, if selected) that have been ordered and/or added to a book.
You can also choose to export a Production Album which is a special read-only copy of the client's ProSelect album already re-linked to the original images in this folder. To protect your studio's and your client's privacy, you can also choose to have the client's contact details, order prices and payments removed from the Production Album. This new feature is only available in ProSelect Pro.
Other changes
Added support for the tags [YEAR] and [SHORTYEAR] in text stamps to ensure your copyright stamps will always show the current year.

Made a Mistake? - Just Undo it:
With this release we have added support for Undoing many operations. This is a multi-level undo which you can invoke using the "Undo (Operation Name)" command from Edit Menu (or using the Cmd/Ctrl-Z shortcut).
Select Size & Room View Adjust Image Position:
You can now use Alt/Option drag to adjust the position of an image within the print size area while in Select Size View when Working with Images. So, when switching an image from a square format size to a pano size (or anything in between) you can easily show your images with a perfect crop for each format without needing to move to Cropping view and back.
Your last cropping adjustments are associated with each image size's aspect ratio during your sales session so your last cropping adjustment will be re-displayed with each size. When you order the image at that size, your cropping settings are automatically transferred to the ordered item
Likewise, you can use Alt/Option drag to make position adjustments to prints displayed on a wall when in Working with Rooms
Compare Image Snapshots:
This great new feature allows you to instantly get back to a recently selected groups of images with the click of your mouse. Here's how it works. Select a bunch of images with a similar pose in Thumbnail view (or from the Image List on the left side). Double-click to show them in Show Images View, automatically adding a new snapshot. Select two and double-click to compare close up. Eliminate one using the 3 keyboard shortcut (move to No tab). Click the Snapshot icon and the remaining 4 are displayed ready for you to compare again. Super easy, super effective. ProSelect will automatically save your last five groups of selections, keep track of how many are left in each selection and allow you to instantly show them again in Working with Images from almost anywhere in ProSelect. You can also "pin" any Compare Images Selection groups that you want to come back to later on.
Easier Identifying of Images:
No longer do your clients need to say "Middle one second row" - just hold the "N" key down to have a number temporarily overlayed on each item making it easy for them to tell you which ones they like best. This works with Images, Layouts and Rooms. You can adjust the number's size, color and opacity in the Preferences.
Templates - more choices and more flexibility:
Reduce your template clutter, by setting your book template categories to only appear when you are Working with Books. Likewise when Working with Layouts.
You can also fine tune which groups of templates that you wish to have available using the new Select Multiple Groups option.
Let your creativity soar with styles now supporting "fit to top center" and "fit to bottom center" options when using images with center-focussed elements for your mat backgrounds and graphics blocks.
Order Custom Products for Images:
Want to sell a print that's not in your price list? The new Custom Product button for Prints lets you order any print size with any presentation option and even adjust the cropping at the time of ordering. If you have applied a custom crop to the image being ordered, check the Constrain Proportions checkbox to maintain those proportions for any ordered size. Super simple, super quick.
Re-inforce what a great deal they are getting:
Check the Include Total Savings option in the Order Report Setup window and ProSelect will automatically add up all the discounts you have applied to their order and show the "regular" price and their Total Savings making it easy for them to say "Guess how much money I saved us today..." to their partner!
Use Tax Inclusive prices:
If you work in a country that normally includes the tax as part of your price list prices, you can now use the tax option Prices List include Tax to have ProSelect automatically calculate and display the total amount of tax included at the bottom of your Order Report/Invoice.

[FIX][WIN] - VLC libraries aris now initialised earlier during startup to prevent an error when loading the default resources when you don't have Quicktime installed. This could happen when ProSelect reverted to using the default setup when the shared data folder location was invalid.

Templates:
Added support for using PNG files in a Template Style for graphics blocks and mat backgrounds. This allow you to add a wide range of non-rectangular content. If you use a PNG file for a mat background then the last selected background color for the style will be used as a fill color behind the PNG background image.
Added support for hiding all graphics blocks in a template to a Template Style.
When adding a new .psd Resource Overlay Image, the Photoshop conversion to a .png file now uses maximum loss less compression so the .png files are much smaller in your ProSelect Resources folder.
In the Manage/Select Resource Images window, you can now click the Refresh Button while holding down the Alt/Option Key to set all PSD files to be marked as "needing to be updated" (with an orange PSD Icon).
This allows you to use the Update PNG from PSD button to re-generate any the .png files and can be used to take advantage of the new compressed format (when using 2015r2 and newer). This will reduce the size of your png files in an exported Collection.
Added extra error checking editing templates and selecting holes.
Added more opening opacity options to the drop downs menu in the Template Editor.
Slideshows & Music:
Album Sets used in Working with Slideshows now have the ability to play their contents in a random order using the new Use Random Order and Use Original Order toolbar icons. The random order starting number is saved with the album so it will play in the same random order each time.
This means that you no longer need to use Convert Selected Slideshow sets to Slides --> Randomly to get this effect.
When in Preview Slides View and Set Focal Point View, any Album Sets that are set to show in a random order can be "re-shuffled" using the Re-shuffle tool. After doing this the new image at the current slide location will be shown.
When in Set Focal Point View, you can see all the slides in all Album Set in their current random order location. If the item is in a set which has been set to be in random order then the item will display a random thumbnail tag.
If you later use Convert Selected Sets to Slides --> Randomly (under Slideshow menu) on an Album Set that is set to play in a random order, the current random order will be maintained for the individual slides.
Any Album Sets that are used in a slideshow now display a slideshow tag next to the set name at the bottom of the Image List. Note: For Image Sets you need to be on the appropriate tab (Yes, Maybe, No) for the used Album Set for this to show.
In the Slideshow Preferences you can now setup up to six different elements that will be automatically added to the first slideshow of all newly created albums. This can be any combination of title slides, videos, image sets, layout sets, rooms sets or books. Images, Layouts & Rooms Sets and can be set to be played in a random order.
Ambient Music is now enabled by default on Macs. (It was previously disabled due to instability problems with Quicktime.)
The Mac version no longer needs or uses the VLC library to play video in a slideshow.
When NOT in working with Slideshows, you can now right-click on the Slideshow icon and see and/or select which slideshow to play when you start a slideshow when you are not in Working with Slideshow.
This can be either a Quick Slideshow (default) or any of the slideshows that you have setup in Working with Slideshows. This allows you to always play a Working with Slideshows slideshow regardless of which Working with mode you are currently in. This selection is saved with the album file.
You can preselect one of these options for newly created albums in the Preferences: (Slideshows, On New Album, Default Playback).
Macs can now use and play .mp4 music files.
Added extra error checking when buffering slideshow images.
Slideshow Movie Export:
On Macs, the Slideshow Movie Exporting has been re-designed to take advantage of OSX's new AVFoundation (part of OSX 10.7 and newer). As a result exporting movies in ProSelect is now 10-20 times faster in this version.
On Macs, the Slideshow Export Presets are now based on the standard presets available for OSX. These settings are no longer interchangeable with the Windows version.
Photoshop Related:
Windows users can now select which version of Photoshop to connect to in the Preferences (General Setting --> General --> Photo Editor).
By default, the latest version installed is taken from the "Photoshop.Application" registry entry, however you can now select any other installed versions without needing to manually update the registry.
The Mac version now uses OSX (rather than Quicktime) to read and convert Photoshop files added to an album. The means that most .psd formats can now be imported directly into ProSelect including 16 bit and CMYK format image files. Note: All files are converted to 8 bit RGB format during Hi-Res Production.
Ordering:
In the Place Order window, the Swap to Client option now allows you to select to move (default) or copy one or more selected ordered items to one or more other client's shopping carts.
If you select a print or layout that has been set to a particular size and then click the Order Item (shopping cart) tool button, the price list item popup menu in the Place Order window will show "No price list item setup at displayed size" at top of popup menu if that size is not in the price list. The rest of prices for this item will be listed in the popup menu below this.
Previously the first price list item was shown by default and you could accidentally order the item at a different size than last displayed..
The Place Order window now allows you to Quick Add multiple prints at the same time even if they have different frames assigned to each one. The same applies to ordering multiple versions of the same layout.
However, if the selected items are not set to the same size you will be prompted to select which size to order.
In the Place Order window, the Select to Order list now shows icons next to items with frames assigned and any fixed size layouts.
You can now select more than one ordered item in Place Order window and use Delete or Swap to Client buttons. Note: You can't select and drag multiple items.
Added a new fixed price list attribute (A-J) to the exported Order Data code so external Studio Management systems can match ordered items to a fixed price list as well as a price list name.
Production:
In the Hi-Res Production window you can now check/uncheck a group of selected items by clicking on the check box of one of the items.
General Changes:
The ProSelect Preferences file has been moved to Application Data/ProSelect/ProSelect_Prefs.xml. If this file can't be found then ProSelect looks for earlier copies of the Preferences file in previous locations. If found, the earlier file is copied to the new location but still left in the old location.
The Smart Filter setting is now set and applied separately for Working with Layouts and Working with Books.
Added the option to sort the images in an album by file type under Sort Album Image by (under Album menu).
In the Client Setup window the Copy from Previous button has been changed to Copy from. Clicking this button now shows a popup menu where you can select which client you wish to copy all the data from.
Added Close Album (under the File menu) to close any currently open album. This does the same as New Album but never prompts to select folder of images (assuming this option has been selected in the Preferences).
Because the new Mac version cannot accept menu Keyboard Shortcuts with just the Alt/Option key, all cropping menu shortcuts on the Mac now require the Control key as well as the Alt/Option key. e.g. Control-Option-8 will crop to an 8x10 ratio.
The minimum version of OSX is now 10.7 (Lion).
Updated the Default Resources with a number of new templates, styles and a new room view image. These will be available with all new installations of the software or if you use ProSelect Data -> Reset to default setup (under the File menu). Existing 2015r1 and newer users will be able to download and install these new resources as a Update Collection from the ProSelect Resources page on the TimeExposure web site.
When adding overlay image resources from the installed Default Resources folder, any related .psd files are also copied over to the ProSelect Resources folder.
Now show the progress during startup when installing default resources.
Now also updates the Low-res cache images and shows a progress bar when using ProSelect Data -> Reset to default setup (under File Menu).
No longer shows the "Cannot locate the ProSelect Resources folder" window on startup if you were previously not using a shared location and deleted or removed your ProSelect Resources folder from its standard location.
Added new menu command ProSelect Data -> Install current version default data... (under File Menu). This will add to your existing setup, any default setup Templates, Styles or Rooms that are not currently installed.
Remote commands can use the loadOrderGroup command to create and populate a new client by setting the group number to be 1 more than the current number of clients.
Fixes:
[FIX] Slideshow transitions are no longer applied to any video content that is shorter than the slideshow transition time. If this is going to occur, a warning icon is shown in the video thumbnail. If you select this video, a message is shown in info bar to this effect.
[FIX] Setup Stamps window. After adding or duplicating a stamp, the focus is automatically set on stamp's name, ready to enter a new name.
[FIX] Stamps. If stamp is set to Expand to Fit, and you have selected Top Center or Bottom Center location then the inset adjustment now only effects the offset in the direction that is NOT being expanded. This make it easy to make fine adjustments to overlay stamps that run edge to edge.
[FIX] Added extra debug info for test a problem with Save a New album to some Drobo models.
[FIX] Rooms Images in a slideshow now honour any border settings in the Slideshow style.
[FIX][WIN] Popup menu separators are no longer displayed and selectable.

Templates:
Added support for using PNG files in a template styles for graphics blocks and mat backgrounds. This allow you to add a wide range of non-rectangular content. If you use a PNG file for a mat background then the last selected background color for the style will be used as a fill color behind the PNG image.
Added support for hiding all graphics blocks in a template to a Template Style.
When adding a new .psd Resource Overlay image, the Photoshop conversion to a .png file now uses maximum lossless compression so the .png files are much smaller in your ProSelect resources folder.
In the Manage/Select Resource Images window, you can now click the Refresh Button while holding down the Alt/Option Key to set all PSD files to be marked as "needing to be updated" (Orange Icon) so can use the Update PNG from PSD file button to re-generate any the PNG files.
This can be used to take advantage of the new compressed PNG format (when using 2015r2 and newer) to reduce the size of your PNG files for exporting in a Collection.
Photoshop:
[WIN] You can now select which version of Photoshop to connect to in the Preferences -> General Setting -> General -> Photo Editor area. By default, this the latest version installed and is taken from the â€œPhotoshop.Applicationâ€ registry entry, however you can now select any other installed versions without needing to manually update the registry.
Slideshows:
Working with Slideshows. Album Sets now have the ability to play their contents in a random order using the new "Use Random Order" and "Use Original Order" Toolbar icons. The random order starting number is saved with the album so it will play in the same random order each time.
This means that you no longer need to use "Convert Selected Slideshow sets to Slides -> Randomly" to get this effect.
When in Show Slides View and Set Focal Point view, any Album sets that are set to show in a random order can be "re-shuffled" using the Re-shuffle tool. After doing this the new image at the current slide location will be shown. When in Set Focal Point view you can see all the slides in an album set in the current random order. If the item is in a set which has been set to be in random order then the item is tagged with a icon.
If you use "Convert Selected Sets to Slides -> Randomly" (under Slideshow menu) on a set that is set to play in a random order, the current random order will be maintained.
Any Album sets that are used in a slideshow now display a slideshow tag next to the set name at the bottom of the Image List. Note for Image Sets you need to be on the appropriate tag (yes, maybe, no) for the used album set for this to show.
In the Slideshow Preferences you can now setup up to six different elements that will be automatically added to the first slideshow of all new albums. This can be any combination of title slides, videos, image sets, layout sets, rooms sets or books. Images, Layouts & Rooms Sets and can be set to be shown in a random order.
When NOT in working with Slideshows, you can now right-click on the Slideshow icon and see and/or select which slideshow to play when you start a slideshow when you are not in Working with Slideshow. This can be either a Quick Slideshow (which just starts a slideshow of the current items) or any of the Slideshows setup in Working with Slideshows.
This allows you to always play a Working with Slideshows slideshow regardless of which Working with mode you are currently in.
This selection is saved with the album file. You can also now set any of these to be the default for new albums in the Preferences -> Slideshows -> On New Album -> Default Playback.
Macs can now use and play .mp4 music files.
Ordering:
Place Order Window. The Swap to Client option now allows you to select to move (default) or copy the selected ordered items to one or more other clients.
Place Order Window. If you select a print or layout that has been set to a particular size then click the shopping cart icon, the price list item popup menu will show â€œNo price list item setup at displayed sizeâ€ at top of popup menu if that size is not in the price list. The rest of prices for this item will be listed in the popup menu below this.
Previously the first price list item was shown by default and you could accidentally order the wrong size.
The Place Order window now allows you to Quick Add multiple prints at the same time even if they have different frames assigned to each one. The same applies to ordering multiple versions of the same layout. If the selected items are not the same size you will be prompted to select which size to order.
The Select to Order list now show icons next to items with frames assigned and any fixed size layouts.
You can now select more than one ordered item in Place Order window and use Delete or Swap to Client buttons. Note: You can't select and drag multiple items.
Production:
In the Hi-Res Production window you can now check/uncheck a group of selected items by clicking on the check box of one of the items.
General changes:
The ProSelect Preferences file has been moved to Application Data /ProSelect /ProSelect_Prefs.xml. If this file can't be found then ProSelect looks for earlier copies of the Preferences file in previous locations. If found, the earlier file is copied to the new location but still left in the old location. After the first run of 2015r2 or later, any changes made to the Preferences in the new or old versions of ProSelect will not be shared since they are working off two different files.
The Smart Filter setting is now set and applied separately for "Working with Layouts" and "Working with Books".
Added the option to sort the images in an album by file type to the Sort Album Image by menu (under Album menu).
In the Clients Setup window the "Copy from Previous" button has been changed to "Copy from". Clicking this button now shows a popup menu where you can select which client you wish to copy all the data from.
Added a "Close Album" item to the File menu - This does the same as New Album but never prompts to select folder of images. It's just to help people who are used to this feature and don't read the manual!
Fixes (from previous versions):
[FIX] - Slideshow transitions are no longer applied to any video content that is shorter than the slideshow transition time. If this is going to occur, a warning icon is shown in the video thumbnail. If you select this video, a message is shown in info bar to this effect.
[FIX] Setup Stamps window. After adding or duplicating a stamp, the focus is automatically set on stamp's name, ready to enter a new name.
[FIX] Stamps. If stamp is set to Expand to Fit, and you have selected Top Center or Bottom Center location then the inset adjustment now only effects the offset in the direction that is NOT being expanded. This make it easy to make fine adjustments to overlay stamps that run edge to edge.

[FIX] - Now shows the correct "face icon" on the screen playing a slideshow using OpenGL and using the down arrow key to move an image to different tab.

General Changes:
The currently selected price list is now saved with your album file and will be re-selected when the album is re-opened.
When exporting a screenshot of a room view the exported image is now trimmed of any black background.
Remove Image List "Show filenames" from Preferences. This option is now controlled from View Menu -> Show Filenames. Also remove "Keep Image List Synched" from Preferences as this is now always on.
Price list setup list now maintains its current scroll position after changing and deleting items.
Added resolution option to all reports. The selected value is saved in the preferences and shared across all reports. Options are Low (150dpi), Medium (300dpi), High (600dpi). Default is 600dpi.
Added the option "Get from Shared" location to the Setup Sharing windows so it is easier to add computers to a shared data environment.
In Select Size view, if the item that you are trying to show is too large to fit on the screen at exact size, rather than showing a rectangle marking the Maximum display size, a warning symbol is shown in the bottom right corner and the actual display size of the item is shown.
The phrase "Order Group" has been changed to "Client" throughout the program. Title slides with Personalized Text Tags containing "Order Group" are automatically changed to "Client".
You can now optionally show the image list on the left side of the mirror screen. This is turned on/off under the view menu with Keyboard shortcut Shift-Cmd-M (Mac) or Shift-Ctrl-M (PC) or use the Alt/Option click on the Mirror Display area button in the Working with Bar. Note: This is just a pixel copied image of the real image list and is not responsive to any mouse actions.
In Preferences --> Image Effects --> Custom Effects Actions you can now select multiple actions and delete them and, when Production tab is selected, enable/disable them.
The Icons on the toolbar and other areas in the main window have been slightly lightened to make them a little more obvious.
Renamed Album menu item "Update Resources Images" to "Update Album Resource Images".
Client Setup Window: Renamed "Add New Client" to "Add New Album Client".
Updated the "Some Images not found" messages to be relevant to the new features.
Added a warning when you turn off Copy .psd files to resources.
Copyright Stamps & Watermarks:
Multiple copyright stamps/watermarks can be setup under the Resources menu. Stamps can be duplicated and adjusted for different applications.
Stamps can be text based, use a mask file or a full color jpg or png file. You can control the location, orientation, inset, opacity and size of the stamp. Size can be set to be either relative to the diagonal size of the image (from 10-80% of the diagonal size) or to be automatically fitted within the bounds of the images (for cases needing a full width stamp)
You can apply a copyright stamp to images printed on the Order Report, Proofsheets and Book Reports, as well as on all images shown on the screen (useful when doing a remote viewing over the internet). You can also have stamps added to Hi-Res production output images (see below).
When upgrading from an earlier version of ProSelect, your existing copyright stamp settings in your Preferences is automatically used to create a new Copyright stamp item. As well as this, a number of default favorite stamps are automatically setup. These can all be modified or deleted. Alternatively you can use the "Add Default Stamps" button to add these at any time.
Text Stamps can also include the following tags:
[ALBUMNAME] which will be replaced with the name of the album file
[ITEMNAME] which will be replace with either the name of the image or template.
Notes:
When producing print items [ITEMNAME] will be replaced with the name of the image file. When producing a composite item, the [ITEMNAME] will be replaced with the name of the layout or book page unless you have selected "Apply to each image" (in the Hi-Res Production window) in which case it will be the name of the image in each respective opening.
Image file name will show the filename extension or not depending on your Preferences setting in Display -> Calibration & Options -> Filename -> Filename Extensions.
Due to a bug in the Photoshop CC 2014r2.1 release, text sizes do not work correctly when set by ProSelect. Adobe are aware of this problem and are working on a fix.
In Preferences -> Hi-Res Production -> Styles & Stamps, you can setup where stamps should be applied by default to Image Prints, Traditional Matted Prints and Composite Prints. If applying a stamp to a Composite Print you can also set whether the default should apply the stamp to all images in the print or the overall print.
You can also select to use a different stamp for a different range of print sizes. For Example, you might choose to use a relatively smaller stamp on larger prints and no stamps on very small prints. Up to four different size "breaks" can be set. This breaks are based on the long side size of the print so the same stamps size will be used regardless of image orientation.
In Hi-Res Production, if setup in the preferences, the appropriate stamps will be automatically assigned to single prints and composites print. These are indicated by a green stamp icon against the item. Selecting the item will show the assigned stamp in the dropdown menu in the "Selected Item Info" box. This will be "None" if no stamps are assigned, but either way, any stamp can be added or removed. Applied stamps are shown on the preview image when the cropped image is displayed.
Applied stamps are added as a separate layer in the produced psd files.
By default, Composite prints have one stamp applied to the print. However, you can select "Apply to each image" from the stamp dropdown menu. When selected, this will change the stamp icon for that item to "stamp +" and enable the ability to select a stamp (or none) for each image on the composite. These will be, by default, set to use the stamp matching the opening size and oriented according to the template opening rotation. The stamp will be shown on the preview image for each opening (not the preview of the entire image.)
New Protect Images View options:
To protect your images while doing a remote selling session you can select a copyright stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
Use Protect Images (under the View menu) to turn these on and off in the display area.
New Photographer's Favorites:
You can now flag images & layouts as "favorites" using Edit Menu -> Mark as Favorite and Remove as Favorite. This shows a "star" thumbnail tag on set images. You can select a stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
You can use the "F" key to toggle the favorites setting on the currently selected images or layouts.
You can turn the display of the favorite Stamp on/off in View menu -> Show Favorites Stamps. This setting controls whether the favorites stamp is shown on Images when Working with Images, on Layouts when Working with Layouts and on either of these during the slideshow.
Exported Sample Images and Layouts and Slideshows can be optionally exported with the selected favorites stamp applied to any items marked as favorite.
Custom Effects Changes:
Change the Preferences setup tab names to "Preview Effects" and "Production Effects".
Note: "Preview Effects" are Photoshop actions that are only applied to the internal ProSelect proxy (preview) image. Whereas "Production Effects" are Photoshop actions that are run at the time an image is processed using ProSelect Pro's Hi-Res Production module.
A single action can be both a Preview effect and a Production Effect. You can also have a Preview Effect and a Production effect be different from one another, but linked to the same trigger.
When a new Photoshop Action is added, it is ONLY activated as Preview Effects. Production Effects can be enabled in the Production Effects tab.
In Preferences, Custom Effects setup area, you can now select multiple items in the list and delete them all at once.
Editing Original Images:
Add new Preferences for setting the default Photo Editor. This setting controls whether the Photoshop or Lightroom menu keyboard shortcuts are prefixed with Alt/Option. (The default one doesn't need the Alt/Option key).
The Original Images menu (under Album menu) now has an Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom submenu which you can choose to open
Selected Images
Selected RAW Images
Selected Images (Original) - if these have been replaced with retouched images.
Workflow/Production Improvements:
A new command to Reload Selected Retouched Images has been added to Album menu -> Original Images. This will look for and re-load newest version of selected images based on the originally loaded file name but with an extension of .psd, .tif or .jpg. Retouched images must be located in the same folder as the original image. This works in a similar way to re-linking in Production but also re-imports the updated images allowing you to initiate re-touching from within ProSelect after the initial importing of out-of-camera files. The menu shortcut is SHIFT-CMD-U (Mac) or SHIFT-CTRL-U (PC).
The reloaded image also becomes the production image and, because these are the same, the re-linked icon is not shown in the Hi-Res production window.
If any custom actions have been applied to any of the selected images, you will be prompted as to how you want to re-apply the actions to the re-loaded images. The options are:
(a) Remove Applied Custom Effects
(b) Reapply Custom Effects to Reloaded Images
(c) Reapply only Production Effects to Reloaded Images
Option (c) will Reapply any Preview Effect action that is also enabled as a Production Effect
To revert to the original images, simply remove the newer image from the original folder and select the same command again and it will find and reload the original image.
You can now Re-load Selected Images which have had Custom Effects actions applied to them. This works the same as Reload Selected Retouched Images.
In Hi-Res Production window "Relink Photoshopped" has been changed to "Relink Edited". Both this and Relink All button can now be used with the Alt/Option key if you wish to Relink AND Reload any retouched images. Alternatively you can check "Always Reload when Relinking" in Preferences -> Importing Images -> Settings -> Production Workflow if you wish this to be the default action all the time. In the latter case the button labels will change to Relink and Reload.
Reloaded Retouched images that are a different type to the originally imported image are indicated with an "up-arrow" thumbnail tag. You can also see the name of the originally imported image and the reloaded retouched image in the Show Selected Image Info window. In the Hi-Res Production window the Image Info box will also show "This Image has been updated".
Added menu Selected Images (Original) to the Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom menus (from main window) to re-touch the originally loaded image and save again as a different type which can then be updated in the album using Reload Selected Images.
Changing the Production Status (red, amber, green button) for an image will now automatically set the same status on all other instances of the same image across prints and layouts.
When running production, if one or more original images cannot be found, you can now select to find them again from within the Hi-Res Production window.
Opening Images in Photoshop and Lightroom:
Added a new option to set the default photo editor (as well as the existing default RAW editor) in the Preferences -> General Settings -> General -> Photo Editor. This can be Photoshop, LightRoom 3+ or Lightroom 1-2.
Depending on the above settings the menu shortcuts CMD-T/Ctrl-T and CMD-Y /Ctrl-Y now open the default editor, however you can use Alt/Option with these commands to get the other editor. This also applies with the "Open in" and "Open RAWs in" buttons in the Hi-Res Production window.
Now displays a warning dialog about needing the ProSelect Plugin for Lightroom installed when you try to open an image in Lightroom 3+. Check the "Don't show again" checkbox to hide this in the future.
Now brings Photoshop to the front again when opening in Images and Raws in Photoshop.
[MAC] Opening RAW files in Photoshop ACR no longer leave ProSelect locked until you close the ACR window.
Video Changes (Pro Only):
The Setup Videos window now allow you to make a virtual copy of a video track and use the new Edit Video page to select different start and end play points for each copy. This allows you to insert different segments from the same video into your slideshows.
Each track now also displays the edited length as well as the original length.
You can drag to re-order your video in the Setup Videos window by clicking the name header to sort all videos clips by name.
Use the Edit Clip button to open the Edit Clip window where you can:
(a) Set the Start and End play points for the video (min. 4 second play length).
(b) Set the videos Thumbnail image to the selected position in the video.
(c) Play the edited video. (Note: Space bar can be used to start/pause).
You can now select to apply a transition into and out of a video clip in a slideshow. This defaults to on and is selected in the Setup Slideshow Style Window -> Advanced tab.
Templates & Layouts:
When working with Layouts you can now right-click on the rotate tool and select either "Rotate the layout only" or "Rotate the layout & images". Doing this with the Alt/option key down will rotate ACW.
You can now assign a style and/or frame to a template in both the Template Manager (where you can assign to all selected templates) and the Template Editor. When adding these, a new window with a list of selectable items will appear, showing a preview ofthe template with applied frame/style. If you have selected to add to multiple templates then you can preview next/previous template.
In the Template Editor, changed the Rotate Template button into a tool button next to the new assign frame and style buttons.
In the Template Manager, new icons are shown next to each template which has a style or frame assigned. The name of these items for a selected template is shown in the data at the bottom of the Preview area.
In the Template Manager, added a new button for swapping one or more templates between fixed or non-fixed sizing. If you are changing a template that has already been added to a price list from a fixed size to a non-fixed size, then a warning will be shown.
When populating a "Unit Template" by dropping a single image into a template or empty layout with the Shift key held down (which populates all openings with the same image), images will now be automatically rotated clock-wise to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
When dropping multiple images into a template or layout, hold the Alt/Option key down to have the images automatically rotate to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
The template manager now also shows the overlay image name (if assigned) in the selected template info box
You can now right-click on a layout or bookpage and select to show and select the template that the item was created from. You can also open that template in the Template Editor at the same time. The first option searches for a template with a matching name to the clicked on layout/book page and selects and displays it in the template area at the bottom of the screen. ProSelect Resources Folder Changes:
The Select Overlay Image Resources window has been updated
Now shows an icon next to any PNG resource images that also have an associated PSD file. This icon is green when the PNG is newer than the PSD file (it is up to date) or Orange when the PNG is older than the PSD file (the PSD file has been updated since the import)
Added new Edit PSD file in Photoshop button so you directly open the PSD file from within the window.
Added a new "Update PNG file" button which will create a new PNG file from the PSD file.
Added a new Refresh List button which reloads the contents of the Resource image List.
The count of the images is shown in the top right corner of the list.
The columns in the list can be sorted by used, name and PSD status by clicking on the header.
You can now open the Select Resources Window for any of the Resource image subfolders from the new Manage Resource Images menu (under the Resources menu --> ProSelect Resources Folder). This allows you to add, delete and update resource images more directly.
Price List Changes:
You can now optionally add an additional "fixed cost" component to automatically calculated prices. eg United Inches + fixed cost. When setting up a variable price which is not a fixed price, use the "add an additional fixed cost" checkbox to enable this feature from the item that you are setting up. When this is selected the Pricing Model will have "+F" after it (eg UI+F) and the prices are shown in the price list window are shown as 5.60+10.00. (rate part/unit + fixed part).
If you have associated a frame with a template, when adding a layout item in your price list, you can now check the "Price includes Frame" checkbox. If this is selected, when you add the layout+frame combination to an order, the frame will be included at $0 in both the Place Order window (even if you have NOT selected "Include Selected Frame when Ordering" in Preferences) and the Add with Extras window. Note: If you later change this to another frame, the frame price will be re-calculated using the frame's usual pricing method.
Price list items with frames will show a frame icon next to the item. This icon will be colored orange if you have a frame added and have NOT checked the "Price includes Frame" checkbox. It will be colored green if you have checked this option. This makes it easy to see which template price list items might need to be changed to use this "combined pricing".
Automatic product code generation. Matching ProSelect's Price list items with those in your studio management system is always easier if you assign a unique product code to each price list item. Use the "Set Product Codes" button in the Setup Price List window to update all your product code automatically, add missing codes or clear out exiting codes.
You can also select "Automatically add Product Codes to new items" in Preferences -> Price List and Ordering -> Settings. This setting is also available in the Integration tab and automatically turned on when you enable StudioCloud. Automatically generated product codes shown in the ProSelect Reference Manual.
Ordering Changes:
The name of the currently selected price list is now shown at the top of the Quick Order popup menu.
You can now Alt-Option Right-Click on the Shopping Cart item to change the current price list. Something must be selected to enable this button.
When adding a print to an order, the new item is now automatically inserted after another order of the same print so that it will be combined with the same thumbnail image on the Order Report. If this is the first order for that image, it will be added after the end of your last print order item as before.
Rooms:

Working with Books:
You can use the filter button at the bottom right edge of the image list to hide any images that have already been used in either the currently selected book or all books. It is only shown when in Working with Books.
Order Report:

New Ordered Frames Report:
This report lists all of the frames and inside sizes that have been ordered. It includes a thumbnail of the frame and can optionally show the sale price of the frame and the name of the frame image file.
You can choose to combine all frame orders from all Clients in the current album or list them separately
StudioCloud Integration Improvements:
When linking a ProSelect album to a StudioCloud Event, ProSelect will check whether there are any existing invoices & payments associated with the selected client and event. If so, these will be listed and you will be given the option to select one invoice and import the items from that invoice into the first client's order.
Imported Invoice items are added to ProSelect as Order Adjustments with a darker grey so you can tell them apart from Order Adjustments added within ProSelect. They are also automatically sorted to be at the top of your order. If an invoice includes an overall discount, this is added as a negative value order adjustment, though importing invoices with discounts is not recommended and discounts applied to order line items in StudioCloud are not supported.
Payments are also imported. If a payment includes a payment method that does not match those currently setup in ProSelect then you will need to resolve the payment(s) before the invoice can be imported. Payments can be resolved by clicking the "Add New Method" button which will add the payment's method into ProSelect's available payment methods, OR by clicking "Change Method To" and selecting one of the methods already setup in ProSelect.
General Fixes:
[FIX] The originally selected price list is now restored on close of Order Adjustment window.

GENERAL CHANGES:
The currently selected price list is now saved with your album file and will be re-selected when the album is re-opened.
When exporting a screenshot of a room view the exported image is now trimmed of any black background.
Remove Image List "Show filenames" from Preferences. This option is now controlled from View Menu -> Show Filenames. Also remove "Keep Image List Synched" from Preferences as this is now always on.
Price list setup list now maintains its current scroll position after changing and deleting items.
Added resolution option to all reports. The selected value is saved in the preferences and shared across all reports. Options are Low (150dpi), Medium (300dpi), High (600dpi). Default is 600dpi.
Added the option "Get from Shared" location to the Setup Sharing windows so it is easier to add computers to a shared data environment.
In Select Size view, if the item that you are trying to show is too large to fit on the screen at exact size, rather than showing a rectangle marking the Maximum display size, a warning symbol is shown in the bottom right corner and the actual display size of the item is shown.
The phrase "Order Group" has been changed to "Client" throughout the program. Title slides with Personalized Text Tags containing "Order Group" are automatically changed to "Client".
You can now optionally show the image list on the left side of the mirror screen. This is turned on/off under the view menu with Keyboard shortcut Shift-Cmd-M (Mac) or Shift-Ctrl-M (PC) or use the Alt/Option click on the Mirror Display area button in the Working with Bar. Note: This is just a pixel copied image of the real image list and is not responsive to any mouse actions.
In Preferences --> Image Effects --> Custom Effects Actions you can now select multiple actions and delete them and, when Production tab is selected, enable/disable them.

COPYRIGHT STAMPS & WATERMARKS:
Multiple copyright stamps/watermarks can be setup under the Resources menu. Stamps can be duplicated and adjusted for different applications.
Stamps can be text based, use a mask file or a full color jpg or png file. You can control the location, orientation, inset, opacity and size of the stamp. Size can be set to be either relative to the diagonal size of the image (from 10-80% of the diagonal size) or to be automatically fitted within the bounds of the images (for cases needing a full width stamp)
You can apply a copyright stamp to images printed on the Order Report, Proofsheets and Book Reports, as well as on all images shown on the screen (useful when doing a remote viewing over the internet). You can also have stamps added to Hi-Res production output images (see below).
When upgrading from an earlier version of ProSelect, your existing copyright stamp settings in your Preferences is automatically used to create a new Copyright stamp item. As well as this, a number of default favorite stamps are automatically setup. These can all be modified or deleted. Alternatively you can use the "Add Default Stamps" button to add these at any time.
Text Stamps can also include the following tags: [ALBUMNAME] which will be replaced with the name of the album file and [ITEMNAME] which will be replace with either the name of the image or template.
In Preferences -> Hi-Res Production -> Styles & Stamps, you can setup where stamps should be applied by default to Image Prints, Traditional Matted Prints and Composite Prints. If applying a stamp to a Composite Print you can also set whether the default should apply the stamp to all images in the print or the overall print.
You can also select to use a different stamp for a different range of print sizes. For Example, you might choose to use a relatively smaller stamp on larger prints and no stamps on very small prints. Up to four different size "breaks" can be set. This breaks are based on the long side size of the print so the same stamps size will be used regardless of image orientation.
In Hi-Res Production, if setup in the preferences, the appropriate stamps will be automatically assigned to single prints and composites print. These are indicated by a green stamp icon against the item. Selecting the item will show the assigned stamp in the dropdown menu in the "Selected Item Info" box. This will be "None" if no stamps are assigned, but either way, any stamp can be added or removed. Applied stamps are shown on the preview image when the cropped image is displayed.
Applied stamps are added as a separate layer in the produced psd files.
By default, Composite prints have one stamp applied to the print. However, you can select "Apply to each image" from the stamp dropdown menu. When selected, this will change the stamp icon for that item to "stamp +" and enable the ability to select a stamp (or none) for each image on the composite. These will be, by default, set to use the stamp matching the opening size and oriented according to the template opening rotation. The stamp will be shown on the preview image for each opening (not the preview of the entire image.)
NEW PROTECT IMAGES VIEW OPTIONS:
To protect your images while doing a remote selling session you can select a copyright stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
Use Protect Images (under the View menu) to turn these on and off in the display area.
NEW PHOTOGRAPHER'S FAVORITES:
You can now flag images & layouts as "favorites" using Edit Menu -> Mark as Favorite and Remove as Favorite. This shows a "star" thumbnail tag on set images. You can select a stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
You can use the "F" key to toggle the favorites setting on the currently selected images or layouts.
You can turn the display of the favorite Stamp on/off in View menu -> Show Favorites Stamps. This setting controls whether the favorites stamp is shown on Images when Working with Images, on Layouts when Working with Layouts and on either of these during the slideshow.
Exported Sample Images and Layouts and Slideshows can be optionally exported with the selected favorites stamp applied to any items marked as favorite.
CUSTOM EFFECTS CHANGES:
Change the Preferences setup tab names to "Preview Effects" and "Production Effects".
Note: "Preview Effects" are Photoshop actions that are only applied to the internal ProSelect proxy (preview) image. Whereas "Production Effects" are Photoshop actions that are run at the time an image is processed using ProSelect Pro's Hi-Res Production module.
A single action can be both a Preview effect and a Production Effect. You can also have a Preview Effect and a Production effect be different from one another, but linked to the same trigger.
When a new Photoshop Action is added, it is ONLY activated as Preview Effects. Production Effects can be enabled in the Production Effects tab.
In Preferences, Custom Effects setup area, you can now select multiple items in the list and delete them all at once.
EDITING ORIGINAL IMAGES:
Add new Preferences for setting the default Photo Editor. This setting controls whether the Photoshop or Lightroom menu keyboard shortcuts are prefixed with Alt/Option. (The default one doesn't need the Alt/Option key).
The Original Images menu (under Album menu) now has an Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom submenu which you can choose to open:
(a) Selected Images
(b) Selected RAW Images
(c) Selected Images (Original) - if these have been replaced with retouched images.
WORKFLOW/PRODUCTION IMPROVEMENTS:
A new command to Reload Selected Retouched Images has been added to Album menu -> Original Images. This will look for and re-load newest version of selected images based on the originally loaded file name but with an extension of .psd, .tif or .jpg. Retouched images must be located in the same folder as the original image. This works in a similar way to re-linking in Production but also re-imports the updated images allowing you to initiate re-touching from within ProSelect after the initial importing of out-of-camera files. The menu shortcut is SHIFT-CMD-U (Mac) or SHIFT-CTRL-U (PC).
The reloaded image also becomes the production image and, because these are the same, the re-linked icon is not shown in the Hi-Res production window.
Option (c) will Reapply any Preview Effect action that is also enabled as a Production Effect
To revert to the original images, simply remove the newer image from the original folder and select the same command again and it will find and reload the original image.
You can now Re-load Selected Images which have had Custom Effects actions applied to them. This works the same as Reload Selected Retouched Images.
In Hi-Res Production window "Relink Photoshopped" has been changed to "Relink Edited". Both this and Relink All button can now be used with the Alt/Option key if you wish to Relink AND Reload any retouched images. Alternatively you can check "Always Reload when Relinking" in Preferences -> Importing Images -> Settings -> Production Workflow if you wish this to be the default action all the time. In the latter case the button labels will change to Relink and Reload.
Reloaded Retouched images that are a different type to the originally imported image are indicated with an "up-arrow" thumbnail tag. You can also see the name of the originally imported image and the reloaded retouched image in the Show Selected Image Info window. In the Hi-Res Production window the Image Info box will also show "This Image has been updated".
Added menu Selected Images (Original) to the Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom menus (from main window) to re-touch the originally loaded image and save again as a different type which can then be updated in the album using Reload Selected Images.
Changing the Production Status (red, amber, green button) for an image will now automatically set the same status on all other instances of the same image across prints and layouts.
When running production, if one or more original images cannot be found, you can now select to find them again from within the Hi-Res Production window.
If any custom actions have been applied to any of the selected images, you will be prompted as to how you want to re-apply the actions to the re-loaded images. The options are:
(a) Remove Applied Custom Effects
(b) Reapply Custom Effects to Reloaded Images
(c) Reapply only Production Effects to Reloaded Images
OPENING IMAGES IN PHOTOSHOP AND LIGHTROOM:
Added a new option to set the default photo editor (as well as the existing default RAW editor) in the Preferences -> General Settings -> General -> Photo Editor. This can be Photoshop, LightRoom 3+ or Lightroom 1-2.
Depending on the above settings the menu shortcuts CMD-T/Ctrl-T and CMD-Y /Ctrl-Y now open the default editor, however you can use Alt/Option with these commands to get the other editor. This also applies with the "Open in" and "Open RAWs in" buttons in the Hi-Res Production window.
Now displays a warning dialog about needing the ProSelect Plugin for Lightroom installed when you try to open an image in Lightroom 3+. Check the "Don't show again" checkbox to hide this in the future.
Now brings Photoshop to the front again when opening in Images and Raws in Photoshop.
[MAC] Opening RAW files in Photoshop ACR no longer leave ProSelect locked until you close the ACR window.
Video Changes (Pro Only):
The Setup Videos window now allow you to make a virtual copy of a video track and use the new Edit Video page to select different start and end play points for each copy. This allows you to insert different segments from the same video into your slideshows.
Each track now also displays the edited length as well as the original length.
You can drag to re-order your video in the Setup Videos window by clicking the name header to sort all videos clips by name.
You can now select to apply a transition into and out of a video clip in a slideshow. This defaults to on and is selected in the Setup Slideshow Style Window -> Advanced tab.
Use the Edit Clip button to open the Edit Clip window where you can:
(a) Set the Start and End play points for the video (min. 4 second play length).
(b) Set the videos Thumbnail image to the selected position in the video.
(c) Play the edited video. (Note: Space bar can be used to start/pause).
TEMPLATES & LAYOUTS:
When working with Layouts you can now right-click on the rotate tool and select either "Rotate the layout only" or "Rotate the layout & images". Doing this with the Alt/option key down will rotate ACW.
You can now assign a style and/or frame to a template in both the Template Manager (where you can assign to all selected templates) and the Template Editor. When adding these, a new window with a list of selectable items will appear, showing a preview ofthe template with applied frame/style. If you have selected to add to multiple templates then you can preview next/previous template.
In the Template Editor, changed the Rotate Template button into a tool button next to the new assign frame and style buttons.
In the Template Manager, new icons are shown next to each template which has a style or frame assigned. The name of these items for a selected template is shown in the data at the bottom of the Preview area.
In the Template Manager, added a new button for swapping one or more templates between fixed or non-fixed sizing. If you are changing a template that has already been added to a price list from a fixed size to a non-fixed size, then a warning will be shown.
When populating a "Unit Template" by dropping a single image into a template or empty layout with the Shift key held down (which populates all openings with the same image), images will now be automatically rotated clock-wise to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
When dropping multiple images into a template or layout, hold the Alt/Option key down to have the images automatically rotate to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
The template manager now also shows the overlay image name (if assigned) in the selected template info box
You can now right-click on a layout or bookpage and select to show and select the template that the item was created from. You can also open that template in the Template Editor at the same time. The first option searches for a template with a matching name to the clicked on layout/book page and selects and displays it in the template area at the bottom of the screen. General Changes:
The currently selected price list is now saved with your album file and will be re-selected when the album is re-opened.
When exporting a screenshot of a room view the exported image is now trimmed of any black background.
Remove Image List "Show filenames" from Preferences. This option is now controlled from View Menu -> Show Filenames. Also remove "Keep Image List Synched" from Preferences as this is now always on.
Price list setup list now maintains its current scroll position after changing and deleting items.
Added resolution option to all reports. The selected value is saved in the preferences and shared across all reports. Options are Low (150dpi), Medium (300dpi), High (600dpi). Defaults to 600dpi.
Added the option "Get from Shared" location to the Setup Sharing windows so it is easier to add computers to a shared data environment.
In Select Size view, if the item that you are trying to show is too large to fit on the screen at exact size, rather than showing a rectangle marking the Maximum display size, a warning symbol is shown in the bottom right corner and the actual display size of the item is shown.
The phrase "Order Group" has been changed to "Client" throughout the program. Title slides with Personalized Text Tags containing "Order Group" are automatically changed to "Client".
You can now optionally show the image list on the left side of the mirror screen. This is turned on/off under the view menu with Keyboard shortcut Shift-Cmd-M (Mac) or Shift-Ctrl-M (PC). Note: This is just a pixel copied image of the real image list and is not responsive to any mouse actions.
In Preferences -> Image Effects -> Custom Effects Actions you can now select multiple actions and delete them and, when Production tab is selected, enable/disable them.
The Icons on the toolbar and other areas in the main window have been slightly lightened to make them a little more obvious.
Copyright Stamps & Watermarks:
Multiple copyright stamps/watermarks can be setup under the Resources menu. Stamps can be duplicated and adjusted for different applications.
Stamps can be text based, use a mask file or a full color jpg or png file. You can control the location, orientation, inset, opacity and size of the stamp. Size can be set to be either relative to the diagonal size of the image (from 10-80% of the diagonal size) or to be automatically fitted within the bounds of the images (for cases needing a full width stamp)
You can apply a copyright stamp to images printed on the Order Report, Proofsheets and Book Reports, as well as on all images shown on the screen (useful when doing a remote viewing over the internet). You can also have stamps added to Hi-Res production output images (see below).
When upgrading from an earlier version of ProSelect, your existing copyright stamp settings in your Preferences is automatically used to create a new Copyright stamp item. As well as this, a number of default favorite stamps are automatically setup. These can all be modified or deleted. Alternatively you can use the "Add Default Stamps" button to add these at any time.
Text Stamps can also include the following tags
[ALBUMNAME] which will be replaced with the name of the album file
[ITEMNAME] which will be replace with either the name of the image or template.
Notes
When producing print items [ITEMNAME] will be replaced with the name of the image file. When producing a composite item, the [ITEMNAME] will be replaced with the name of the layout or book page unless you have selected "Apply to each image" (in the Hi-Res Production window) in which case it will be the name of the image in each respective opening.
Image file name will show the filename extension or not depending on your Preferences setting in Display -> Calibration & Options -> Filename -> Filename Extensions.
Due to a bug in the Photoshop CC 2014r2.1 release, text sizes do not work correctly when set by ProSelect. Adobe are aware of this problem and are working on a fix.
In Preferences -> Hi-Res Production -> Styles & Stamps, you can setup where stamps should be applied by default to Image Prints, Traditional Matted Prints and Composite Prints. If applying a stamp to a Composite Print you can also set whether the default should apply the stamp to all images in the print or the overall print.
You can also select to use a different stamp for a different range of print sizes. For Example, you might choose to use a relatively smaller stamp on larger prints and no stamps on very small prints. Up to four different size "breaks" can be set. This breaks are based on the long side size of the print so the same stamps size will be used regardless of image orientation.
In Hi-Res Production, if setup in the preferences, the appropriate stamps will be automatically assigned to single prints and composites print. These are indicated by a green stamp icon against the item. Selecting the item will show the assigned stamp in the dropdown menu in the "Selected Item Info" box. This will be "None" if no stamps are assigned, but either way, any stamp can be added or removed. Applied stamps are shown on the preview image when the cropped image is displayed. Applied stamps are added as a separate layer in the produced psd files.
By default, Composite prints have one stamp applied to the print. However, you can select "Apply to each image" from the stamp dropdown menu. When selected, this will change the stamp icon for that item to "stamp +" and enable the ability to select a stamp (or none) for each image on the composite. These will be, by default, set to use the stamp matching the opening size and oriented according to the template opening rotation. The stamp will be shown on the preview image for each opening (not the preview of the entire image.)
New Protect Images View option:
To protect your images while doing a remote selling session you can select a copyright stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
Use Protect Images (under the View menu) to turn these on and off in the display area.
New Photographer's Favorites:
You can now flag images & layouts as "favorites" using Edit Menu -> Mark as Favorite and Remove as Favorite. This shows a "star" thumbnail tag on set images. You can select a stamp to use in the Preferences -> Display -> Borders, Backgrounds & Stamps.
You can use the "F" key to toggle the favorites setting on the currently selected images or layouts.
You can turn the display of the favorite Stamp on/off in View menu -> Show Favorites Stamps. This setting controls where the favorites stamp is shown on Images when Working with Images, on Layouts when Working with Layouts and on either of these during the slideshow.
Exported Sample Images and Layouts and Slideshows can be optionally exported with the selected favorites stamp applied to any items marked as favorite.
Custom Effects Changes:
Change the Preferences setup tab names to "Preview Effects" and "Production Effects". Note: "Preview Effects" are Photoshop actions that are only applied to the internal ProSelect proxy (preview) image. Whereas "Production Effects" are Photoshop actions that are run at the time an image is processed using ProSelect Pro's Hi-Res Production module. A single action can be both a Preview effect and a Production Effect. You can also have a Preview Effect and a Production effect be different from one another, but linked to the same trigger.
When a new Photoshop Action is added, it is ONLY activated as Preview Effects. Production Effects can be enabled in the Production Effects tab.
In Preferences, Custom Effects setup area, you can now select multiple items in the list and delete them all at once.
Editing Original Images:
Add new Preferences for setting the default Photo Editor. This setting controls whether the Photoshop or Lightroom menu keyboard shortcuts are prefixed with Alt/Option. (The default one doesn't need the Alt/Option key).
The Original Images menu (under Album menu) now has an Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom submenu which you can choose to open -
Selected Images
Selected RAW Images
Selected Images (Original) - if these have been replaced with retouched images.
Workflow/Production Improvements:
A new command to Reload Selected Retouched Images has been added to Album menu -> Original Images. This will look for and re-load newest version of selected images based on the originally loaded file name but with an extension of .psd, .tif or .jpg. Retouched images must be located in the same folder as the original image. This works in a similar way to re-linking in Production but also re-imports the updated images allowing you to initiate re-touching from within ProSelect after the initial importing of out-of-camera files. The menu shortcut is SHIFT-CMD-U (Mac) or SHIFT-CTRL-U (PC) The reloaded image also becomes the production image and, because these are the same, the re-linked icon is not shown in the Hi-Res production window.
If any custom actions have been applied to any of the selected images, you will be prompted as to how you want to re-apply the actions to the re-loaded images.
The options are
Remove Applied Custom Effects
Reapply Custom Effects to Reloaded Images
Reapply only Production Effects to Reloaded Images - will Reapply any Preview Effect action that is also enabled as a Production Effect
To revert to the original images, simply remove the newer image from the original folder and select the same command again and it will find and reload the original image.
You can now Re-load Selected Images which have had Custom Effects actions applied to them. This works the same as Reload Selected Retouched Images
In Hi-Res Production window "Relink Photoshopped" has been changed to "Relink Edited". Both this and Relink All button can now be used with the Alt/Option key if you wish to Relink AND Reload any retouched images. Alternatively you can check "Always Reload when Relinking" in Preferences -> Importing Images -> Settings -> Production Workflow if you wish this to be the default action all the time. In the latter case the button labels will change to Relink and Reload.
Reloaded Retouched images that are a different type to the originally imported image are indicated with an "up-arrow" thumbnail tag. You can also see the name of the originally imported image and the reloaded retouched image in the Show Selected Image Info window. In the Hi-Res Production window the Image Info box will also show "This Image has been updated".
Added menu Selected Images (Original) to the Open in Photoshop and Open in Lightroom menus (from main window) to re-touch the originally loaded image and save again as a different type which can then be updated in the album using Reload Selected Images.
Changing the Production Status (red, amber, green button) for an image will now automatically set the same status on all other instances of the same image across prints and layouts.
When running production, if one or more original images cannot be found, you can now select to find them again from within the Hi-Res Production window.
Opening Images in Photoshop and Lightroom:
Added a new option to set the default photo editor (as well as the existing default RAW editor) in the Preferences -> General Settings -> General -> Photo Editor. This can be Photoshop, LightRoom 3+ or Lightroom 1-2.
Depending on the above settings the menu shortcuts CMD-T/Ctrl-T and CMD-Y /Ctrl-Y now open the default editor, however you can use Alt/Option with these commands to get the other editor. This also applies with the "Open in" and "Open RAWs in" buttons in the Hi-Res Production window.
Now displays a warning dialog about needing the ProSelect Plugin for Lightroom installed when you try to open an image in Lightroom 3+. Check the "Don't show again" checkbox to hide this in the future.
Now brings Photoshop to the front again when opening in Images and Raws in Photoshop.
[MAC] Opening RAW files in Photoshop ACR no longer leave ProSelect locked until you close the ACR window.
Video Changes (Pro Only):
The Setup Videos window now allow you to make a virtual copy of a video track and use the new Edit Video page to select different start and end play points for each copy. This allows you to insert different segments from the same video into your slideshows.
Each track now also displays the edited length as well as the original length.
You can drag to re-order your video in the Setup Videos window by clicking the name header to sort all videos clips by name.
Use the Edit Clip button to open the Edit Clip window where you can
Set the Start and End play points for the video (min. 4 second play length).
Set the videos Thumbnail image to the selected position in the video.
Play the edited video. (Note: Space bar can be used to start/pause).
You can now select to apply a transition into and out of a video clip in a slideshow. This defaults to on and is selected in the Setup Slideshow Style Window -> Advanced tab.
Templates & Layouts:
When working with Layouts you can now right-click on the rotate tool and select either "Rotate the layout only" or "Rotate the layout & images". Doing this with the Alt/option key down will rotate ACW.
You can now assign a style and/or frame to a template in both the Template Manager (where you can assign to all selected templates) and the Template Editor. When adding these, a new window with a list of selectable items will appear, showing a preview ofthe template with applied frame/style. If you have selected to add to multiple templates then you can preview next/previous template.
In the Template Editor, changed the Rotate Template button into a tool button next to the new assign frame and style buttons.
In the Template Manager, new icons are shown next to each template which has a style or frame assigned. The name of these items for a selected template is shown in the data at the bottom of the Preview area.
In the Template Manager, added a new button for swapping one or more templates between fixed or non-fixed sizing. If you are changing a template that has already been added to a price list from a fixed size to a non-fixed size, then a warning will be shown.
When populating a "Unit Template" by dropping a single image into a template or empty layout with the Shift key held down (which populates all openings with the same image), images will now be automatically rotated clock-wise to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
When dropping multiple images into a template or layout, hold the Alt/Option key down to have the images automatically rotate to match the orientation of the openings in the template.
The template manager now also shows the overlay image name (if assigned) in the selected template info box.
ProSelect Resources Folder Changes:
The Select Overlay Image Resources window has been updated
Now shows an icon next to any PNG resource images that also have an associated PSD file. This icon is green when the PNG is newer than the PSD file (it is up to date) or Orange when the PNG is older than the PSD file (the PSD file has been updated since the import)
Added new Edit PSD file in Photoshop button so you directly open the PSD file from within the window.
Added a new "Update PNG file" button which will create a new PNG file from the PSD file.
Added a new Refresh List button which reloads the contents of the Resource image List.
The count of the images is shown in the top right corner of the list.
The columns in the list can be sorted by used, name and PSD status by clicking on the header.
You can now open the Select Resources Window for any of the Resource image subfolders from the new Manage Resource Images menu (under the Resources Menu). This allows you to add, delete and update resource images more directly.

[FIX] The last single sided page of a book is no longer being missed in a slideshow.
[FIX] Any notes saved with the last single sided page of a book are now printed on a book report.

When upgrading from version 3.x or earlier now automatically creates the ProSelect Resources folder in the default location.
If you change the ProSelect Resources location to a different one (via Sharing Setup) and the folder does not exist in the new location, ProSelect will now warn you now that it has created a empty set of resources folder rather than just doing this silently.
[FIX] Layouts with invalid sizes or presentation options now show as "**MISSING**" in the Price List Setup window rather than throwing an error. This should only happen if the ProSelect_Data.xml file was corrupted (usually by being manually edited).
Updated the default ProSelect_Data.xml data to include additional sizes, templates and price list items.

When debugging Photoshop commands, ProSelect now sends the commands to a .jsx file and directly opens Adobe ExtendScript ToolKit (assuming that the .jsx files have be associated with this application). This allows the Toolkit to be used for debugging once again on Windows machines. This can only be done when you have one item checked in the Hi-Res Production window and hold the SHIFT key down while clicking on the "Make Hi-Res Images" button.
You can now debug the the "Reload Custom Actions" command by holding SHIFT key down while clicking on the "Reload" button.
[MAC] Removed periodic Quicktime polling to reduce the chance of a random crash when closing windows while playing Ambient Music. (This know issue will be fixed in the next update).
All Photoshop production scripts are now send to Photoshop via a file called "photoshop_script.jsx" which is now saved into Applications Support -> ProSelect folder -> ProSelect Debug Data folder.
[FIX] Hi-Res production Completion Actions which flatten the image no longer cause production to stop with an error.
When running Hi-Res production on images with "Fill to next Print Paper Size" selected, the background layer is now called "PaperFill" (same as when producing Composite Layouts).

[FIX] Made changes to Hi-Res Production scripting when substituting text in the overlay image .psd file to fix a font size changing problem when using Photoshop CS6 and newer. This workaround is due to changes (and some bugs) introduced in Photoshop CS6 and carried into CC and occurred if you have any re-scaled text layers in the .psd file. Since Adobe made at least two changes in this area with different updates to CS6, we have modified ProSelect to work with the latest update (as of now) which is Photoshop v13.0.6. If they make any further changes, we may need to undo some of these workarounds.
[FIX] The Output Report Button now stays with the bottom edge of the window when the Production Window is re-sized.
[FIX] Remote commands no longer show the album as "unsaved" after doing a "New Album" when StudioCloud integration is turned on. This prevented exporting using the Lightroom plug-in unless you re-started ProSelect.

[FIX][WIN] The mirror display screen no longer has a 1 px white border on the top and left edges. This seemed to be a more recent Windows version issue only.
To help track down the reason why a slideshow movie fails to export, ProSelect now displays an error code which references the step at which an error occurred. These codes can be found in the KnowledgeBase article called "Slideshow and Movie Export Error Codes".
Added more data to the Debug messages when exporting and playing slideshows to assist with any diagnostics in these areas.
To improve slideshow playback appearance, ProSelect now dynamically adjusts the priority of the background thread that is fetching the next image. This is based on the type of slideshow style, slideshow contents and computer performance.
[FIX][WIN] - On start-up ProSelect no longer attempts to install the default music if Quicktime is not installed because this results in the music track length being set to zero and results in a crash if you then attempted to play a slideshow using this music track.
[FIX] Slideshows no longer crash if you try to play them using a music track with zero length.

Added the option to select whether to use the Mountain Lion workaround (using Javascript) when opening images in Photoshop to the Preferences -> General Settings -> General -> Photo Editor. This setting is checked by default if you are running Mountain Lion. This allows you to revert ProSelect to how it normally works when Apple fixes this problem. (If you open multiple RAW images if does NOT honor this setting as described in point 17 above.)
[FIX] Template editor. You can no longer add a new template when you have selected a template category without any groups in it. Doing this was causing an error.

New Templates Categories:
Added support for Template Categories which you can use to "group" your Template Groups. You can have an unlimited number of Categories each containing an unlimited number of Template Groups. In the Thumbnail bar you can now select both a Category and a Group (within the selected Category). This selection can include "All Categories" and "All Groups" to show all templates.
When you first run the 2011r2, your existing groups will all be place into a new "Default Category". You can use the new Template Manager window (see below) to create and re-arrange your Categories and Groups and to Preview templates. Any empty template groups will be automatically removed.
Imported Collections are now automatically placed into a new Template Category with has the same name as the imported Collection file. Likewise imported .txt template files are imported into group with the same name as the template file.
"Saving book templates to group" (under Templates Menu) will now add a new template group to selected category and setting the group name to book name, by default.
The number of templates in the current Template Group is shown after the group name in Thumbnail View.
New Template Manager:
Added new Template Manager Window which is accessible under the Templates menu (or by double-clicking on the Category or Group name in the Thumbnail bar). You can use it to create, delete, rename, sort and arrange your templates into different Template Categories and Groups. Note: You can only delete empty Categories and Groups (empty ones are shown in italics)
Dragging in the Categories and Groups list can be used to arrange the order of your Categories & Groups and to move groups into a different Category. You can select and drag multiple items in this list.
You can drag one or more templates from Templates List and drop them onto a different Group in the Categories & Groups List to move them to that Group.
Hold Alt/Option key down and drag rows in the Templates List to re-arrange the order of your templates (you can select & drag multiple rows).
All Templates in a group can be sorted by name, number of openings, and different type options.
You can change the type of a multiple templates.
Apart from the templates name, the Templates list also list the number of openings, the template type and other attributes including a $ sign icon if a price list item has been setup that template.
Clicking on a template will display show a preview of the template and list all attributes and opening sizes for that template.
You can use the Edit Template button to open the currently selected Template in the Template Editor.
The Templates menu has now been simplified as most of the previous functions are now done within the new Template Manager.
New Template Smart Filter:
The new Smart Filter makes it easy to choose templates when Working with Books (also works in Working with Layouts). You can turn on the Smart filter by choosing an option in the right-hand side of the thumbnail bar above the templates.
If you are using a "close to square" book design then you can optionally enable auto-rotate button on the right-hand end of the Thumbnail bar and templates that can be rotated to meet the criteria for Smart-filter option (c) and (d) will be shown as well with an "auto-rotate" icon in their top right corner.
New Template Smart Drop:
When dropping images into a template to create a new layout or book page, images are automatically placed in openings that match their orientation (less you have the Alt/Option key down in which case they fill by opening number). This only works when dropping onto a template - dropping images into a layout will place the first image in the selected drop opening then fill the other openings in hole order.
New Auto-Populate Options:
With Smart-Filter off, dropping multiple images onto new template with the Shift key down will create new template for each image and fill every opening in the layout with the same image
With Smart-Filter off, dropping a single image onto new template or layout with the Shift key down will fill every opening in the layout with that image.
Templates Editor Enhancements:
The templates list can now be hidden/shown using the disclosure triangle in the top left corner of the Window. This provides more working space when using the Editor.
You can now use the keyboard arrow keys to nudge the selected openings by 3 pixels (or one pixel if the Alt/Option key is held down at the same time).
Tilted openings in templates can now be positioned overlapping ("hanging over") the edges of a template. The center of each opening is kept within the bounds of the template. The feature is now supported throughout ProSelect and in Hi-Res production.
Working with Books Enhancements:
You can now control how templates will be sized to fit into a book page using the buttons at the right-hand end of the layouts thumbnail bar.
Added a dialog box option to temporarily turn off the "Image Already Used in this book" warning if this is turned on in Preferences -> General Settings -> Templates, Layouts, Rooms & Books -> Book Design options.
The layout type (composite/traditional matted) is now automatically changed to match the Book Design when templates are added to a book.
You can now change the template type for individual pages in a book AFTER they have been added to a book. This overrides the book design and allows you to mix both composite and traditional matted pages in the same book.
After any layout or book page "auto-create" operation, the thumbnail view now always displays the lasted added layouts or book pages. This items are now also selected.
If you add a template to a traditional matted book that is oversized and any openings are overlapping or off the edges of the page, a "caution" icon is displayed on the thumbnail image.
New Information Bar:
Added a new Information Bar at the bottom of the Display Area. This includes detailed information about the currently selected item including the sizes of all opening in the selected layout, if the item has used in room or has a note added, the name of the currently applied style and frame, the sizing method used (traditional matted, composite or fixed) and the current display scaling applied (actual size or scaled to fit).
You can hide/show the Info Bar using the disclosure triangle (bottom of right-hand tool bar), Show Info bar (under View menu) or Alt/Option-TAB keyboard shortcut.
When displaying templates with multiple openings the size of each opening in the template is shown and the currently selected opening size is highlighted.
The next/previous frame or style can also be applied directly from the Info bar by click on the arrows on either side of the frame and style icons respectively.
You can click on the room icon to change to the Working with Rooms room where that item has been used. If used in multiple rooms then a popup menu will allow you to select the room.
You can click on notes icon to open the note window.
High-Res Production Notation:
If an image is "linked to" a different production image, by default, the "Open in Photoshop" button will always open the linked image. If you wish instead to open the image originally loaded into the album click this button with the Alt/Option key down.
New Sharing Preferences:
Internally the Preference is now saved in two parts: General Preferences Setting related to your ProSelect setup
and Computer-specific Preferences Setting related only to your computer (such as window positions and sizes, recent albums etc)
You can now easily share your "General Preferences" settings between computers by saving and loading then using the options in the Preferences -> General Settings -> Sharing -> Sharing Preferences. By default, these are saved to and loaded from your current ProSelect Resources folder (which will be a shared location if sharing is turned on). You can select another location to save and load from. Note: Saving and Loading shared preferences is NOT automatic to prevent preference changes on one computer effecting all other computers unintentionally.
Ordering Enhancements:
You can now select Images and Layouts together before opening the Place Order window (eg when selecting a mix of these in a room when Working with Rooms). Everything will be available for selection in the Select to Order list. While you can select and order multiple images at the same time (as before), only one layout can be ordered at the same time.
You can now right click on an order line in the Place Order window as a short cut and select either Change, Notes or Delete from the popup menu.
You can now use the Shopping Cart icon to gather all items in one or more selected rooms in thumbnail view (Working with Rooms) into the Place Order window ready for ordering. If the selected room only has one item in it you can also use the Quick Add to Order (right-click shopping cart icon).
The Order Report now includes an option to turn on/off the printing of a zero Balance Due if no payments have been received. This defaults to off (as in previous versions) so you can still manually write these values onto the report if you wish.
Added a new field to the XML Order Reports so other programs can determine the type of order line item in the order.
New Production reports:
Three new production reports available in XML format ("XML Format"), Readable format ("Readable Text format") and JASON format "JASON Format"). These reports can be setup to include different order Groups, Print data, Construction information (for layouts and books) and Book Specifications. Construction data includes full template sizes and opening positions which can be used as mat cutter data.
This report is saved into the same output folder as the output images. References to any images also produced are relative to the reports folder.
Added a new Preference option to automatically generate/update the production report each time Hi-Res production is run. Preferences -> Hi-Res Production -> Output Settings -> Production Report.
General Changes:
Now detects if the Mirror Display Area screen has changed size & automatically adjusts all screen sizes to fit.
Removed "Show Original Image path" (View Menu) option since this is now redundant. This information is available in the "Show Selected Image Info" window (under Album menu).
By popular request, once again shows the notes icon under the bottom right corner of the images in Show Images View.
The current number of columns set for the Image List is now saved between sessions.
The toolbar popup menus for frames, styles, custom effects and room backgrounds will now also show any recently selected items at the top of the menu (in the Recents section). You can select the number of recent items to be saved/shown (between 3-5) or turn this feature off in the Preferences -> General settings -> General -> General Defaults -> Popup History.
When Working with Images, in Cropping View the crop rectangle and crop ratio/size sizes are now more visible on the screen.
ProSelect now supports, on first installation, the loading of a default set of ProSelect Data from the Default Resources folder (normally located next to ProSelect application). This file must be named Default_Data_LANGUAGE.xml when currently supported languages are ENGLISH, FRENCH, SPANISH and JAPANESE.
ProSelect Trials are now controlled from the server.
The wrapped edge of a Canvas is no longer covered in a cyan overlay when in Cropping View rather a thick dotted cyan line is drawn to show the location of the wrap edge so you can more easily see the edge detail.
The open/closed state of the Style and Frame Groups is now saved between sessions in the Preferences.
Now checks for and updates, if necessary, the low res images when selecting resource images in Edit Templates, Edit Rooms, and Edit Styles.
Overlay image Thumbnails are now stored as .png file rather than .jpg so they better represent the actual full sized image when they have transparent areas on the outside.
The currently selected images in the image list are now no longer deselected when going from Working with Images to other Working with modes.
Added the option to add a copyright stamp to images on the Order Report and Book Report.
Added keyboard short cuts for Crop To… Menu commands.
Changed the modifier key for rotating the crop direction when doing a Crop to menu command from Alt/Option to Shift to allow the above shortcuts. At this stage you can't use the Shift key with the shortcut - only if you select the option from the Crop To... menu
Added 1:3 crop ratio to Crop to.. menu and Snap to Crop.
You can now use Alt/option when clicking on the Select Size View icon to fill the current Display Area with the currently selected item in Working with Images and Working with Layouts. Previously this feature only worked in Working with Rooms.

The Setup Rooms window is now resizable.
Exported Sample Images can now have filenames up to 64 characters in length.
Bug Fixes:
[FIX] No longer de-selects the currently selected images or layouts when changing the number of columns in the image list.
