  • Preferences: The user now has an option of closing or not closing the drop box after they drag and drop image files onto it.

New in QuickCrop 2.1.0 (Nov 2, 2012)

  • Fix: The user was not able to add profiles.
  • Fix: The user was not able to set the position of the crop work area to 0,0.
  • Fix: The application could apply a different opacity level from user's specified value set in Preferences to the crop box.
  • The application comes with a new installer. Note that the 32-bit version (x86 build) will be installed into Program Files, not into Program Files (x86).

  • The user can now select the color of the crop box appearing in the preview display.
  • The user can now set the opacity level of the crop box color appearing in the preview display.
  • The source tab of the Properties window shows information on the selected source file.
  • Choosing Image > Open Drop Box, the user can now use a drop box to add one or more pictures to the list of images at a time.
  • Fix: The following commands under Image did not disable themselves when necessary: Delete Image, Clear Images.
  • The crop box now appears in semi-transparancy.
  • The menu name of Crop is changed to View.
  • Change: Since the crop box can now be transparent, the Make Crop Box Visible command is deprecated.
  • Choosing View > Make Crop Box Frame Visible, the user can make the crop box border visible.
  • The application takes a different approach in listing images in the bottom panel. As a result, the bottom panel will barely flicker when the user selects a thumbnail image.
  • Fix: When the user selected a thumbnail image, the application failed to return the horizontal scroll value to the previous.
  • Fix: The application applied an incorrect value of opacity to the crop box shown on the preview display.
  • Choose File > Export to create a cutout image over multiple files at a time.
  • Fix: The application could crash when the user chose View > Show Properties without first opening Preferences and saving settings.
  • Numerous other fixes and improvements are done.
