  • Features:
  • Extract Texts:
  • Rainclip can now use Tesseract OCR to extract texts from images and place them to the clipboard history. You can access this feature from the image's menu. Rainclip is also able to download and install Tesseract OCR automatically if it's not available on your system yet.
  • Image Editor:
  • Change the plain text to be a tooltip with an adjustable tip.
  • Added "Highlight" tool to the image editor.
  • Drawing outside the image area is supported now.
  • Items in image editor can be dragged from any position.
  • Multiple items can be selected by dragging.
  • Editing text is possible (from context menu and by double-clicking).
  • Other features:
  • Search now lists clippings before the snippets.
  • Added support for compact history list.
  • Bug fixes:
  • The context menu for multiple clippings had incorrect icons.
  • Context menu icon took too much space for images.
  • Down arrow did not move from search edit to the list of items.
  • The context menu doens't hide anymore when selecting item with return key.

  • Rainclip now supports localization. The translations are done with machine translator so they probably are not very accurate at the moment but suggestions for better translations can be done by creating a pull request in here: https://github.com/Rainclip/Rainclip-Issues

  • Ctrl-a (or Cmd-a on Mac) selects all items in the history list
  • Issue 19: Remember the edit window size

  • Fixed a crash bug on startup if snippet group had been deleted
  • Images were copied twice to the history on Windows

  • Features:
  • Paste next item shortcut:
  • New global shortcut can be defined which automatically pastes the next item from the history.
  • The use case for this is that when copying multiple items from one place to other you can copy all of them one by one to the history and then use the shortcut to paste them automatically one by one to the other location without the need to open the history window.
  • The next item that will be pasted by the shortcut key is shown with a small arrow icon in the history list.
  • Other features:
  • Added clipboard monitor to display the current content of the clipboard.
  • Delete key can be used to remove clippings from history.
  • Right mouse button opens the context menu in history list.
  • "Remove all" doesn't remove the items that are marked as "Keep forever".
  • Fixed tray icon color in macOS 11.0 and newer.
