CrazyTalk Changelog

What's new in CrazyTalk 8.1.2024.1

Feb 10, 2017
  • TALKING HEAD FROM PHOTO:
  • Face Photo Fitting. 3D Face Profile. Custom Eyes & Teeth.
  • One Photo - Instandt Result
  • The 3D face fitting technology is based on a library of ethnic human anatomy, providing 9 profiles to help you choose the right one to speed up your fitting process. Make it not only look real, but also make it fun to test out the same photo under different looks.
  • Two Photos Fine Details
  • Synthesize an entire 3D head by using both Front / Side photo profiles that allow you to precisely define facial contours, while providing additional texture placements on the face.
  • Non-humans Are Welcome
  • With the new CrazyTalk 8 Head Creator system, now character creation is unlimited. With some creative retouches, you can breath live into in-animate objects in just a few minutes.
  • Head & Hair Mesh:
  • Facial angles prevent photo distortion during facial rotation. The Face Orientation function allows you to edit front and side (? 45°) images. The hair mesh layer can handle characters with long hair, horns and ears for you to create vivid and natural-looking animations.
  • AUTO MOTION:
  • Audio-driven Movement. Categorized Library. Custom Control.
  • Other than the classic 2D Auto Motions, CrazyTalk 8 also includes newly-added 3D Auto Motions dedicated to 3D avatars for realistic motion behaviors. Whether idling, talking, singing, dancing, human sound, making reaction, or other scenarios, these well-premade content are all ready for your 3D avatars to get the perfect way to perform.
  • Puppeteering: Mouse Control over both 2D & 3D Actors
  • Simply use a mouse or handheld device to puppet your character's animations. With a Solo Feature Selection, you can design custom facial features and puppet behaviors while playing back a recorded audio in real-time. The default puppet profiles define instant personalities for puppeteering, ranging from real human beings to cartoonish profiles. Furthermore, 6 emotion styles for each profile provide you with full control over various facial expressions.
  • Enhanced 3D Motion Key Editing
  • Three Ways of Key Animation:
  • Muscle define different parts of the muscle to animate.
  • Expression create vivid expressions in no time by applying preset templates.
  • Modify customize further facial feature details all on your own.
  • For 3D avatars, you may endow them with unbounding head and shoulder movements to enliven the whole animation result.
  • Look at Camera for 3D Avatar
  • Freely adjust the constrain level to keep the 3D avatar’s eyes and head sticking to the viewer, which gives the immediate influence over other actor animations. Engage your audience with more eye contact and attitude like a host or an anchorperson.
  • ENHANCED TIMELINE EDITING:
  • Individual Part Control
  • The new and enhanced Timeline environment allows users to fully control their 3D talking animation projects, down to their individual tracks including; - head, shoulder, face, eyes and lips. All this gives you the flexibility to redo any selected track when working on intricate facial animation.
  • Motion Clip & Layering
  • Add our studio-made Motion Clips for instant expressions including full face, eye, and head performance such as giving a kiss, blinking you, or crying. You can simply "drag and drop" available Motion Clips from the library and layer them into the timeline to apply instant expressions. Record real-time facial puppeteering and save it in layers as Motion Clips, storing all the data for every facial feature animated during the live puppet session.
  • AUTO MOTION : BRAND NEW 3D AUTO MOTION LIBRARY
  • Other than the classic 2D Auto Motions, CrazyTalk 8 also includes newly-added 3D Auto Motions dedicated to 3D avatars for realistic motion behaviors. Whether idling, talking, singing, dancing, human sound, making reaction, or other scenarios, these well-premade content are all ready for your 3D avatars to get the perfect way to perform.
  • CUSTOM DYNAMIC ATMOSPHERE:
  • Create the right visual atmosphere to match any talking scenario. Choose your own background images, and lighting setup combined with wind, soft-cloth physics and spring dynamics to best present unique animations.
  • 3D HEAD PIPELINE:
  • With CrazyTalk 8’s shared module design, the new 3D head creator can be launched from either inside CrazyTalk 8 or iClone 6. Also, not only can the 3D head meshes and textures be exported to iClone, but you can also edit and share the same talking scripts created by Crazytalk 8 which has separated actor track editing and Auto Motion effects.
  • One-Click 3D Head Export
  • Once your 3D Head editing is complete , use the One-click option and send your 3D head, and textures directly to Character Creator and iClone for having a complete 3D avatar and full-body animations, or to any other 3D tools for a wide range of applications via 3DXchange.
  • Export Talking Scripts from CrazyTalk 8 to iClone 6
  • You can edit and share the same talking scripts created by Crazytalk 8 which has separated actor track editing and Auto Motion effects. It gives iClone 6 users an empowered script editing environment to easily sync the talk and head movement, or precisely perform to music tempo.

New in CrazyTalk 7.11.1214.1 (Dec 14, 2012)

  • Enhanced Natural Movements:
  • A big improvement! Over time, we have noticed lots of user-made CrazyTalk animations driven purely by lip-synced audio that often lack facial expressions and proper head movements. People would often shout at the screen in hopes of making their characters animate further, but only to see them calmly talk back with mere lip animations. So now we have designed a system that allows our own voice to drive the intensity of our animations. This new technology which auto-generates based on sound, can create specific character movements such as head, body, eyes and mouth to create lively animations that are triggered by your own voice energy.
  • Smart Profiles for Auto Motions & Expressions:
  • CrazyTalk7 provides you with hundreds of auto animation templates that give your avatars all kinds of emotions and movement styles. You can find them categorized under: Idle to give characters initial movements, Functional to generate primary movements, or Scenario for unique performance styles and sound reactions. Generate specific projects like rapping a song with left and right head movement, talking like a formal newscaster, or purely swaying to the beat.
  • You may also determine how strong your actor motions are influenced by your voice as you may adjust the smoothness, tune the spring effect, and constrain movements to a certain volume level. Utilizing these features can help anyone create dynamic, stretch-and-squash, pop-and-bounce, and professional-looking cartoon animations in a fraction of the time.
  • Give your Audio a Matching Animation Scenario:
  • CrazyTalk7 allows you to create impressive animations by matching the attitude of your voice to the character. These rich animation formulas are derived from classical animation principles that have been incorporated into the software to create unique style variations such as preaching like an evil villain, interviewing people like Jay Leno, or seducing your audience like Marilyn Monroe.
  • Sing an opera with a raised head, or hum the blues with expressions that are full of heartache and pain. Talk with an agreeable attitude, or feel terribly scorned while getting yelled at. You can even use natural sounds and gestures like coughing, snoring, kissing, barking, or grumbling! Find inspiration in our sample edits, or search through the extensive CrazyTalk library for a gallery of animation styles.
