  • A great update for anyone who deals with Microsoft Office password protection pretty much. The SHA512 hashing algorithm has undergone significant improvements. This helps to speed up certain password search algorithms by up to three times. As a result, the password recovery process for Microsoft Office 2013-2021 documents is much faster now.
  • Finally, we have significantly improved the logic behind the search for password-protected documents. Instead of checking a specific disk location, the program now scans the entire disk and instantly displays a list of all password-protected documents it founds. This new feature is made possible thanks to our brand-new and innovative instant disk search technology.

New in Reset Windows Password 14.1 (Feb 20, 2024)

  • Now, you can easily track the history of external IP addresses linked to any user account on Windows. With this revolutionary tool, you can dive a bit deep into users' network history, revealing the specific IP addresses they've used to connect to the network along with the respective timestamps. This feature is not available in any other application!
  • We have also added a fantastic new feature that allows you to search for files and their contents on your disk in the blink of an eye! Our cutting-edge search algorithm is setting a new benchmark for speed and accuracy compared to other Windows programs. To give you an idea of its power, imagine processing hundreds of file masks simultaneously (the program includes some ready-to-use rules) with wildcards on a typical user disk containing around 1 million files in just a few seconds on average. Moreover, our program offers advanced search rules tailored to meet the needs of the most discerning and sophisticated users and supports all file systems available in Windows.
  • This update also brings some additional improvements, such as new password recovery modules (for example, recovery module for saved passwords of the FAR FTP client). These enhancements extend to the decryption of plaintext passwords for local and domain accounts, as well as for PDF/Office documents, virtual machines, and more.
  • The logon policy editor now has a variety of new local security options available.

Depending on your needs (and the type of the report), each report can include lots of additional information, such as OS statistics, user profile information, installed hardware/software, like antiviruses or browsers, disk information, and much more - over 50 items in total!
  • The new file statistics tool generates extended information on files and folders, the types and categories files belong to, top largest/newest items, etc. Just input a logical disk to get started!
  • We've also added a brand-new disk space analyzer tool. It'll help you analyze disk free space and find the top folders that take up too much space, allowing you to free up some space on your logical drives.
  • Our Windows search database explorer now has a new option that extracts information on deleted files and data. Plus, it can create dictionary files with all words extracted from the Windows search database! This feature is perfect for further analysis or for use in any password recovery software.

This can be vital when you need to determine the cause of any boot failures, such as a crash or unexpected shutdown. If Windows fails to start up properly, the Boot status explorer can be used to determine the cause of the failure and provide guidance on how to resolve the problem.
  • The Windows Search database explorer supports for the newest format of the Windows Search engine. The Windows 11 Search format migrated from ESE to SQLite database and some properties and logic have changed slightly after migration. Both old and new formats can be handled perfectly by the new version now.

  • Intelligent PIN recovery. Every time a user tries to decrypt Windows PIN, the program analyses all found PINs and, if some weak ones are found, offers an intelligent recovery. First, the guaranteed recovery for the PINs that can be found in the fastest possible way is launched, then go time-consumptive ones, and at last, those that can be recovered applying a lookup for frequently used combinations only. A user is free to switch between the intelligent and a common recovery, however.
  • The built-in English dictionary was updated with some commonly used and popular passwords.
  • The last logged-on user is highlighted wherever it's possible now.
  • Users can launch the secret questions and answers dialog directly. Previous versions of the program did it automatically.
  • Updates for French, Hindi, Italian, Russian and Spanish interfaces. Thank you all, guys, for keeping it up-to-day.
  • The program's smart logic has been improved.
