  • Added Installer and Portable Options. Installer Option puts SavePictureAs in the
  • Control Panel under Add Remove Programs and on the Start Menu.
  • The Portable Version does not install anything. It runs from the folder SavePictureAs resides in.
  • User will be prompted for "Installer" or "Portable" choice on first start up.
  • The portable version of SavePictureAs can not be located in a windows system folder.
  • Instead place SavePictureAs in MyDocuments or Desktop or any non system folder.
  • SavePictureAs now offers an option to change the "Saving Picture Mode". With all
  • supported browsers SavePictureAs can use "Copy Image URL",
  • "Copy Image Address", "Copy Image Location" or "Copy Shortcut" (depending on the browser) in the right click menu to save pictures.
  • If the URL is not available then SavePictureAs will use Save Image As, Save Image or
  • Save Picture As (depending on the browser) for that picture.
  • To choose this option and learn more select from the system tray icon, "Settings",
  • "Additional Settings" and look for "Saving Picture Mode" and look for "More Info" for the "Saving Picture Mode"
  • Added "Choose Hotkey Method" to the "Configure Favorite Folders & Hotkeys"
  • configuration screen. "Choose Hotkey Method" will allow users to select from 2 different methods of choosing hotkeys for their favorite folders.
  • The 2 methods are "Use Keyboard only Hotkeys" and "Use Keyboard & Mouse Hotkeys".
  • With the "Use Keyboard & Mouse Hotkeys" method, mouse hotkeys and multimedia keys
  • can be selected as hotkeys.
  • Added support for SlimJet, Coowon, SeaMonkey, Citrio, Flock, Crazy, AM, Deepnet

  • Added ability to compare the MD5 Checksum value of the duplicate picture with the MD5 Checksum value of the original to identify if the duplicate picture is identical to the original.
  • If the duplicate picture is identical to the original then the duplicate will not be saved. This setting can be changed on the Additional Settings Menu.
  • Added "Please provide feedback" survey option
  • Found an issue with "Do not save duplicates" showing message that a duplicate was found and not saved even though "&Notify Me" was not checkmarked on the Additional Settings Window
  • Found filename to be incorrect on all the "&Notify Me" message boxes when a duplicate was found.
  • Found an issue when a duplicate filename is found and the duplicate is deleted then "Rename Last Saved Picture" was recording the deleted duplicate as the last saved picture.
  • When updating to the newest version the update process will verify the downloaded update using the MD5 cryptographic hash function.
  • Added FileNaming options (Date & Time-FileName.ext) and (Sequential Number-FileName.ext)

  • How To Handle Duplicates:
  • "Ask What To Do" when duplicates are found displays both pictures with the following 4 options (Default):
  • Rename one or both
  • Delete one or both
  • Add Date & Time to one or both
  • Keep original filename for one picture and apply one of the above options for the other picture
  • Do not save duplicates with option to be notified when this happens
  • Always overwrite with option to be notified when this happens
  • Save duplicates by adding a Random Number to the filename with option to be notified when this happens
  • Save duplicates by adding the Date & Time with option to be notified when this happens
  • Filenaming Convention (automatically name saved picture to one of the following):
  • Date and Time (choose from 6 options on format of Date And Time)
