  • Added the ability to use an sound signal to be notified that current page has been scanned. You can select an sound melody, set the sound volume, or disable any sound signals. This option can be useful if you are away from the computer and cannot see the screen. The sound signal will tell you that you need to change the page in the scanner.
  • Added the ability to merge pages arranged horizontally or vertically. The merged pages will be added to the project as a single new page. This option can be useful if you have a few small pages that you prefer to have merged into a single page.
  • Added the ability to select the color of the cropping rectangle when manually cropping a page. This option can be useful if the rectangle is hard to see over some color images.
  • Added the Save Project As menu item, so that you can save the project under a different name. Also added the Close Project item and removed the New Project item.
  • Fixed page list handling when moving a page.
  • Added the Estonian and Swedish languages. Updated the Slovenian language.

  • Added page number detection and automatic page sorting by page number.
  • Improved post-processing of scanned pages. Now ScanPapyrus always automatically aligns each scanned page.
  • Added an option to turn off automatic adjustments when splitting a book spread into two pages. That option can be useful if the automatic page cropping operation removes the area containing a page number.
  • Added PDF quality selection when exporting to PDF. Setting this parameter can reduce the output PDF file size.
  • Added a pop-up toolbar.
  • Added photo sizes: 9 cm by 13 cm (4 in. by 5.3 in.), 10 cm by 15 cm (4 in. by 6 in.), etc. for the scan area.
  • If you close ScanPapyrus, it will remember the position of its batch scan window until the next launch.

  • Added an Apply to all pages checkbox to the page brightness/contrast adjustment settings. Having set up the brightness/contrast adjustment parameters for one page, you can check that checkbox to apply the same settings to all the pages in the project.

  • Added an option to set the page size in the PDF document equal to the scanned page size, instead of using a fixed page size (for example, A4).
  • In the batch scan mode, added an option to stop the scanner after scanning the specified number of pages.
  • Added an option to set page direction when splitting a book spread into two pages: left to right, or right to left. This option is useful when scanning books in Arabic or Hebrew.
