New in SearchInform Desktop Free 4.0.04 (May 16, 2007)
- SearchInform Technologies Inc. introduces a new SourceSafe connector for SearchInform, its corporate system of full text search and search for documents with similar content in large data volumes.
- Starting with the current version, SearchInform offers a connector for conducting full text search in the SourceSafe source code storage system. This system is designed not only for storing source codes, but also for simplifying the programmers� work with them by making it more organized. The connector presents particular interest to large-scale software developing companies.

New in SearchInform Desktop Free 3.1 (Nov 8, 2006)
- The new version has an upgraded search algorithm as well as a new function visualizing the degree of relevance of search session results. The function is available for any type of search (whether it be standard phrase search, synonyms search or SearchInform�s unique similar content search) and vividly reflects the quality of search results. This spares browsing through what-may-be less relevant resources before actually finding what you need. A similar function is already implemented in �similar search�, only there the documents are lined up in the order of relevancy with percentage of similarity to the query specified next to the document title.

New in SearchInform Desktop Free 2.4 (Sep 16, 2006)
- The functional part of the program has been enhanced making it a lot more convenient to work with the program. Now the highlight mode, which highlights query matches in the found results, works fail-safe and will not let you down. Significant enhancements also took place in the phrase search.
- Another innovation had to do with the indexing process: SearchInform 2.4 much better indexes mail messages from MS Outlook and TheBat! mail clients. The process of accessing these messages has been improved while the result browser window optimized.
- The changes also affected the functions that in the fist place interest the corporate client. When searching in database the fields located in one table are perceived as a whole, rather than each field separately. If the query includes only last name, in the result line you can also see information on the person�s job to be sure that�s the right person and not a namesake. This specifies the search to the fullest and lets you browse additional information directly related to the query.
