SecureSafe Changelog

What's new in SecureSafe 2.2.4

Mar 28, 2017
  • Fixed in this version:
  • The password safe in the SecureSafe Client can now also be controlled by keyboard (PC & Mac).
  • We now support high DPI displays (i. e. Microsoft Surface).
  • Performance improvements in the sync algorithm allow for a faster file sync.
  • We have implemented support for Windows Credential Store.
  • Improved in this version:
  • If user A deletes a file and syncs it, while user B is editing the very same file, a copy of the file will be saved (including the adaptations made by user B). Before the file would be deleted. This improvement prevents shared files that one user is working on to be inadvertently deleted by another user.
  • If a user is in the middle of creating a new password and the SecureSafe Client crashes, the password can now be retrieved and saved upon successful login.
  • A warning is shown if a synchronisation is about to delete a large amount of files. This is to help the user avoid deleting a lot of synced files without wanting to.
  • Attempt to synchronise a file of more than 2 GB no longer silently fails. Instead a message appears making the user aware that file cannot be synced due to its size.
  • Windows: If "Start minimised" is checked under “Settings”, the SecureSafe Client now starts minimised.
  • Last opened tab is shown upon application reopen.
  • SecureSafe will never use *.tmp extension for files being downloaded, as this gets flagged by some antivirus programs.
  • Heightened security through XSRF protection.
  • Fix warnings "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile"
  • Numerous small UI changes and fixes.
