What's new in Shutterfly Studio 1.1

Jul 28, 2006
  • Picture comparison tool - Easily compare similar pictures side-by-side and select your favorite.
  • To start the comparison tool, you should select a set of pictures you wish to compare and then select "Compare Pictures.." from the Tools menu or via the Right-Click menu in the Lightbox.
  • Maximize window in Edit mode - This gives you the largest possible view of a picture when performing editing functions.
  • To access the maximized edit mode, just click on the expand box on the task tab when it is open.
  • Saved order, upload and share sessions - Studio now keeps all the print, upload and share sessions even after you quit the application.
  • Choose picture order - Studio now allows for custom arrangement of pictures in the upload and share wells.
  • Select Pictures to import - Studio now allows you to select the pictures you want to import from the camera instead of importing everything.
  • Drag-and-drop pictures to the task buttons - This creates and easier way to create orders, uploads or shares. Simply drag and drop pictures from the light box onto one of the task buttons and the pictures will be added to the well for that task.
  • Extended folder view functions - Customize the folder-display order in the organize panel and create shortcuts for easy access to commonly used folders or external drives
  • Auto-conversion of non-JPEG pictures - Studio now automatically converts non-JPEG pictures when you upload them to your shutterfly.com account since shutterfly.com only supports pictures in the JPEG format. Your original picture will not be affected or changed.
  • Film strip - A new film strip is available in full screen mode, the picture comparison tool and maximized edit view. The film strip allows you to see previous and upcoming pictures as well as skip and select particular pictures to view or edit.
  • Improved performance - Faster zooming, picture upload speed, start-up time and overall performance.
