Slite Changelog

What's new in Slite 1.2.15

Nov 3, 2022
  • Start a Discussion where you need it:
  • One of the big upsides of combining Discussions and docs in your knowledge base is that important conversations are tightly integrated with where your team is working, not stowed away in some other tool.
  • Create recurring Docs bi-weekly or monthly:
  • Recurring Docs nudge your team into action by automatically creating Docs on a schedule (pinging the right folks and using a Template of your choice). This works great for getting input on your next meeting agenda, prepping for a 1-to-1, or to manage fully async stand-ups with the team.
  • We've added a few more options to help it fit your workflow. You can now schedule Docs to be created weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
  • Getting more from Public Docs:
  • You've made your beautiful docs public for the world (and https://slite.slite.page/app/docs/IMOJrGtG-9rO8u), but find yourself wondering: how many people are reading it? Well, wonder no more, my friend. We've added new insights for Public Docs so you can see how they're doing over time.
  • We've also sharpened up the preview images for Public Docs to make sharing on social media more eye-catching. Also, we've enabled Collections in Public Docs, making it easier to share more complex pieces of content outside your team.
  • Embed Miro boards:
  • We've added Miro to our long list of rich embed options in the editor! Just type /Miro , enter a link to the board you'd like to add, and away you go.

New in Slite 1.2.10 (Mar 23, 2022)

  • A revamped top bar, for your peace of mind:
  • In Slite, your docs' content is the star. To help you focus on what's important, we made the top part of the interface lighter, by de-cluttering the breadcrumb and improving visual styles. We also re-organized doc actions and info, to help you find things more easily.
  • Global comments, always easy to reach:
  • Global comments now are on the top right area of your docs. Enjoy adding global comments as you read, on your own time, through all the way.
  • Team collaboration should be human, expressive... and fun!
  • Now you're able to react with any emoji on your docs
  • Little big changes on the editor:
  • Images can be left or center aligned on your doc, you choose.
  • Images, sketches and videos have a border to prevent uncomfortable blank spaces.
  • Links and mentions colors are subtler, improving the reading experience.
  • Entering edit mode in a protected doc is more accessible (and also, as we write here, we're working on an improvement so it's not visible all the time).

New in Slite 1.2.8 (Oct 22, 2021)

  • More insightful team insights:
  • Get a better understanding of your team's activity in Slite with the new Team insights dashboard (available on the paid plans). Are people writing or reading more? Who are the top users?
  • Keep your workspace relevant and tidy by seeing which docs need updating, and which docs are stale.

New in Slite 1.2.4 (Jan 25, 2021)

  • Scan long docs more easily:
  • Whether it's an internal FAQ or a detailed product spec, lengthier docs are cumbersome to browse. Now, you can collapse entire sections to keep docs short and clearer to navigate.
  • You can also add a table of contents for a quick way to jump to a specific section.
  • Enrich docs with video:
  • Video is the most effective communication tool for remote teams. It's a clear and quick way to show your work, update teammates, and bring human spark to a doc.
  • You could already embed Youtube and Loom videos. Now you can also drag and drop any video format (.mp4, .mov, ...), and watch it in Slite.
  • Manage teammates at scale:
  • Admins, you can now filter through teammates according to their names, and roles, or search for someone specific. You'll also see people's last activity—handy to do some spring cleaning and remove inactive members as your team grows.
  • Pimp your templates with new placeholders:
  • Templates keep your processes consistent as your team grows. With the new image, video, mentions and doc link placeholders you can create detailed templates for recurring meetings, product specs and more. Just type /image, /video, /file, /someone or /link to doc + esc

New in Slite 1.2.0 (Oct 19, 2020)

  • A new way to organize your teamwork. Meet Smart tables:
  • With each new project, your team accumulates many docs, and it's hard to keep a clear view on everything. Now you can see the bigger picture by laying our docs out in one place with their status, owners, and more in a Smart table.
  • You can also connect docs to Smart tables to see and edit their related information stored in the table right from the docs:
  •
  • Skim lengthier docs with the Table of Contents:
  • Wrote a long doc? Add a Table of Contents at its top so your teammates can leaf through its multiple sections.
