  • It now supports defining HL7 Z-Segments (i.e. user defined segments) and also custom Data Types, through settings in the config file. See example Z-segment definitions in the config file included in the download.
  • The build-in HL7 reference is updated to HL7 2.5.1 (previous versions were up to v2.3).
  • Included one bug fix.

New in SmartHL7 Message Viewer 1.2.1.3 (Jan 16, 2012)

  • The sleek Viewer now supports multiple encoding, whereby message data in
  • different encodings can now be properly displayed. In other words, if
  • proper config file is provided, the Viewer would display the encoded data
  • (eg in Chinese/Arabic/Russian/etc) correctly.
  • Mouse wheel support - when the message index box is highlighted,
  • scrolling mouse wheel will make the Viewer navigate through the messages
  • back and forth.
  • Locked highlighted field - the viewer now will try to highlight the same
  • field when navigating through the messages.
  • Double-clicks in a cell of the message elements grid will copy the cell
  • value to clipboard.
