What's new in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 11.1.6

Jun 24, 2013
  • Added a Cue Activation Method of 'External (Trigger)', designed for cues that are normally activated by external equipment, eg from an incoming MIDI message.
  • Added a Cue Property for 'Hide Cue Panel', which prevents the cue being displayed in the cue panels on the main window. This is useful for cues being activated rapidly and/or repeatedly (in non-linear run mode, or as hot key cues).
  • Added MIDI Cue Control command to open a new cue file, provided the new cue file is included in the 'Favorite Files' list.
  • Ctrl/X, Ctrl/C and Ctrl/V now available in the Editor for cut, copy and paste of cues.
  • Added a 'Find' function to assist you in finding a cue in your Production. The Find function can be accessed either from the main window or from the Editor.
  • Fixed a few errors.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 11.1.5 (Jun 24, 2013)

  • Fixed an issue that could cause a time-out delay when starting a video cue.
  • Fixed a couple of other errors.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 11.1.4 (Jun 24, 2013)

  • Changes have been made to make the next manual cue more obvious. The text and background colors of the next manual cue can now be set in color schemes. The default is white text on a black background. These colors are applied to the cue itself in the main window's cue list, and to the 'Next Manual Cue' field. In the cue list and cue panels the relevant cue's 'Ready' state is now displayed as 'Next Manual', also with the new colors.
  • In the Audio Driver Options and Settings for ASIO (using BASS) the SCS ASIO Buffer Length setting has been removed as it is no longer necessary since the inclusion of the async file reading feature added in SCS 11.1.3. SCS now always uses the ASIO buffer length previously known as the 'preferred length', which is the ASIO buffer size set in your device's ASIO control panel..
  • Added a Production Property to allow you to set the maximum audio level to +12dB instead of the default maximum of 0dB. This is designed for ASIO outputs and is not recommended when using DirectSound. See the Help on Production Properties - Run Time Settings for more information.
  • Implemented a 'fine tuning' facility of adjusting certain time fields by using Ctrl/Left-Arrow and Ctrl/Right-Arrow to decrease or increase times by 0.01 second. This has been implemented for the following fields in the editor for audio file cues: start at, end at, loop start, loop end.
  • The timing of the audio file graph in the editor is now more accurate.
  • Fixed a few errors.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 11.1.3 (Jun 24, 2013)

  • Included a new version of the BASS audio library which supports asynchronous file reading/buffering: data is read from the file in advance by a separate thread. This has been implemented in SCS for ASIO outputs to provide significantly better buffering and clean ASIO playback.
  • Added a property to SFR cues to indicate that associated auto-start cues are not to be auto-started.
  • Added some extra field choices to Bulk Edit.
  • Added an option to set the font. Being able to change the font is useful if the default font is not displayed well with your screen size and Windows settings.
  • Fixed a few errors.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 11.1.2 (Jun 24, 2013)

  • Added facility to Copy, Move or Delete a Range of Cues.
  • Fixed various errors.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 9.3.3 (Feb 26, 2007)

  • Modified the set-up file to prevent registration errors being reported when installing under Vista.
  • Cue triggering by MIDI or RS232 commands now ignores disabled cues.
  • Default MIDI Cue Numbers are now only set on changing the Cue Label - they are no longer set when the cue file is opened, which sometimes caused MIDI Cue Numbers to be assigned to Cues that previously did not have a MIDI Cue Number.
  • The 'Re-Number Cues' function now includes a checkbox to indicate if default MIDI Cue Numbers are to be re-generated where applicable.

New in Show Cue System (formerly Sound Cue System) 9.1.5 (Jun 5, 2006)

  • Fixed an error associated with setting the 'current position' of a file in the Editor by clicking on the waveform graph, and then closing the Editor. The Run screen progress indicators incorrectly remained at the initial start point even though the audio would start from the selected position. The Run screen progress indicators are now adjusted to where the 'current position' was set in the Editor.
  • Fixed an error that could cause an overflow error when a lengthy 'delayed start' for a sub-cue is being processed.
  • Fixed an error that could cause an overflow error when a 'start at' time of several minutes into an audio file sub-cue is being processed.
  • Count down times of a minute or more were not showing the count down time in the cue panels, as the display was too wide and wrapped out of sight. The count down display has been slightly modified so wrapping does not occur.
  • Fixed an error that could cause a 'subscript out of range error' when opening a cue file after running another cue file.
  • When manually navigating to a cue, any auto-start cues that are controlled by a cue earlier than that cue are temporarily set to manual start since they cannot now be auto-started. However, if you then navigate back to earlier than the controlling cue then the auto-start was not reinstated. Now fixed.
