What's new in Stardock Start11 2.0.6.4
Feb 29, 2024- Today we are releasing a new build of Start11 v2, v2.06 with new features and a couple of quality-of-life updates. The new build is rolling out now for anyone with Start11 v2 installed and it can also be accessed from your download page too.
- New in this release are options to auto-hide the taskbar from the right click menu, option to set a tab as the default tab in a group in your menu, and added universal apps, all apps, and steam apps as options for quick access shortcut menu links.
- All of these features are the result of direct feedback from our users and is our commitment to making Start11 v2 not only the most advanced Start menu experience for Windows, but also one that is shaped by those who use it every day. If you have any feedback about this release or have requests for features, make sure to head over to our forums and let us know what you would like to see in the next release.
New in Stardock Start11 1.4.3.0 (Apr 4, 2023)
- The update is starting to roll out now for users who purchased the app directly from Stardock. If you don’t see it yet, you can find it by opening the configuration panel, clicking about, and searching for an update. For users who purchased Start11 on Steam, an update should be arriving in the next couple of days, too.
- With this release, you will see improvements for scenarios that involve multiple monitors, enhancements for users who use touch-first navigation, and better alignment with the Winkey+X menu appearing in the desired location.
- There is one new feature as well, but it’s a small one. If you are running Windows 11 22H2 with the Moment 2 update installed, small with wide icon spacing is a taskbar size option. As the name implies, it adds a bit of padding around the icons.
- As with all of our releases, they first start out in our beta channel and typically go through several iterations before release. If you run into any hiccups with v1.43, please let us know in our feedback forum so that we can properly track any unintended scenarios with this release.

- Fix for right arrow after menu opening now goes to shutdown in Win7 style menu rather than the right-hand list in error.
- Option to force the menu to align to the exact middle regardless of where the start button is
- Ensured Win+ and Win- when not using S11 search do not cause search to appear (hotkeys for magnifier)
- Correctly handle OS setting for always show scrollbars
- Option to remove things from recent documents list on Win11 menu
- Added option to hide text on a group on Win10 menu as we do on Win11 menu

- Resolved Start11_64.exe warning on uninstall. Also removed Start10.exe that was being left behind
- Updated license_sas.txt to include Chromium Authors
