  • The user= option now accepts the SEF file using the data: URI protocol with Base-64 encoding for inline handling.
  • The terminate= option allows setting of a character after which all input will be ignored from the EDI stream
  • The numpad= option allows setting the default numeric padding character, by default "0" for most dialects.
  • EDI Converters fixes and enhancements:
  • HL7 SEF support corrected in case where message name in repository does not include structure but name in SEF does (e.g. ORU vs ORU^R01)
  • HL7 default quote handling in file and batch header segments is corrected.
  • TELCO maxOccurs= is now properly set on nested elements in generated schema.
  • Empty dates are handled property in generated sample EDI files for all dialects.
  • Formerly, an EDIFACT-style message would need at least a UNB or UIB segment. Now, if only the UNH or UIH segment is supplied, a correspondig UNB or UIB will be materialized with default values and inserted into the stream.
  • All EDI types now support message=, which overrides autodetection of the message, except for TRADACOMS. Since TRADACOMS uses sets of messages, this option isn't applicable.
  • ASCII-Baudot encoding supported for X12-style BIN and BDS segments.
  • CSV/TAB supports quoted strings that span lines
  • JSON supports a string which is comprised of an array unwrapped in braces
  • HTML to XML converters has been updated to the latest version of JTidy
