- Change:
- In the Artist Directory, there is no longer an All/None 'button' above the track listing. That has been replaced with the ability to double click on the parent line to select/deselect the children. This will only work if there is a single level shown below the parent you are clicking on. For example with structure Artist/Album/Track: Artist expanded to view Albums. Can double click Artist to select/deselect all Albums. Once an Album is expanded, double clicking on Artist won't do anything but double clicking on Album will select/deselect the Tracks
New in SubGadget 2.7 (Jun 30, 2011)
- Added Features:
- Ability to download tracks (if the user has appropriate permissions) from the Artist Directory. Will need to download either the GUI or Console Downloader available in the Downloads section.
- Update notification. When opening Settings, if an update for either SubGadget or the installed downloader (if installed) is available, you will be take to the About tab for a link to this site to obtain the update.
- Bug Fixes:
- Subsonic.org addresses are now handled. If you are on the same LAN as the server you may need to check the LAN checkbox due to your router's settings
- The location for the Settings file can now be selected by clicking on the path at the bottom of the Settings window. This allows the gadget to load the Settings even if the My Documents location isn't in the standard location

- Ability to specify the number of Random Songs from predefined values in Settings
- Ability to specify the Random Song genre from a list of genres on the server
- Added an album art flyout - click on the cover art to show this and move the mouse over the lower left corner of the flyout to see the track information for a few seconds
- Ability to select Tracks under Albums like the Album under Artist
- Increases flyout size and the length of albums/artists/tracks
- Added Album as tooltip when hovering over the Artist in the Now Playing flyout
- Added all/none selection for the tracks in the artist directory - will only work if the Artist or Album above the tracks isn't selected or disabled

- Fixed an issue where search results would get added twice to the playlist
- Fixed an issue where if an artist or album was expanded in the Artist Directory and the artist or album is checked then when adding to the playlist, the albums or tracks were still disabled
- The artist directory now scrolls back to the top when changing letters

- Ability to edit playlist [delete tracks, rearrange tracks, rename playlist]

- Show visualization [click on the tiny black area in the top right corner. Double click on visualization (Win7) or on the tiny black area to go full screen] To change the visualization close the gadget, play a file in Windows Media Player, change the visualization to what you want, close Windows Media Player, re-add the gadget to the sidebar.

- The gadget now pings the server periodically in an attempt to keep the session active so it doesn't timeout when the player isn't playing, on pause, or stopped. If you receive a Connection Error (4) you will need to open the Settings dialog and press OK to reconnect

- A lot of code consolidation and optimization
- Bug Fixes:
- When in Shuffle mode and the playlist has gone through them all, the status would stay on 'Media Changing...' rather than going to the playlist's name
- A silent error (didn't affect performance or functionality) was being thrown when selecting checkboxes on Artists that weren't expanded in the Artist Directory
