  • New Features:
  • Full documentation available in SysCompare (Press F1 or select Help), User's Manual or online
  • Individual Properties and Categories can now be turned off/disabled so they won't be displayed or compared to determine configuration differences.
  • Computer names and categories (Scanned/saved sans) can be right click and computer names copied to the clipboard or saved to a file.
  • Show All Computer Properties will show all properties in the Differences folder even if they are not different.
  • Refreshes will now use the credentials that were used to create the original scan (if not a saved one - see other items for options for saved scans).
  • You can now configure SysCompare to save the credentials used to create a scan. This enables scans to be saved with alternate credentials and re-opened in the future.
  • New Configuration Experts Feature to collect and compare common registry tweaks and configurations. (Lanman Server, Lanman Workstation, Memory Management, TCP/IP, Terminal Server, and File System)
  • Bulk files can now contain authentication information (computer name, user name, password). See the Bulk Import File Syntax section for details.
  • AutoScan can now trigger an automatic email alert via SMTP.
  • AutoScan can be configured to automatically drop an xml/excel file of differences in a predefined folder/file for automated retrieval.
  • Event Log Entries can be enabled for to alert Administrators or other monitoring systems when specific SysCompare actions occur.
  • SysCompare will now detect if you are attempting to scan a Windows Fail-Over Cluster virtual name and will automatically detect cluster nodes and scan those.
  • You can use Autoload to automatically load a set of computers to scan. This list can be a collection of saved computer scans in a SysCompare .SCP file or a bulk import file.
  • You can now choose which categories to scan when performing a single computer. This can speed scan times for one-off use.
  • New options have been added to automatically set all column widths to the contents of the column as well as turning on or off a fixed column splitter to freeze specified cells in place.
  • Improvements:
  • Decreased the time required to query local and network computer configurations.
  • Added encrypted state property setting for Page files.
  • Creation Date is no longer collected for Processes.
  • Disk Signature is no longer collected for disk drives.
  • The Custom Queries dialog is now accessed from the Activities Menu.
  • You can now selective freeze columns in the results grid to make horizontal scrolling easier.
  • Automatic Refresh count down in lower right status bar of main SysCompare window when enabled.
  • You can now choose to include Saved scans in AutoScan refreshes or not depending on your AutoScan/Monitoring Needs.
  • Selected Color Scheme for the Details Grid will now be used when exporting to Excel.
  • Network Speed, Duplex, and connection specific DNS registration settings are now collected in the Network category.
  • Bulk scan/Import status window now shows individual computer status and messages during scans.
  • You can now delete a computer in the display tree my selecting it and pressing the Delete key. This is in addition to the ability to right-click delete or by using the tool bar.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • OS Type/Edition/Service Pack is now included in the detected differences.
  • Corrected CPU Voltage detection and added "volt" to value.
  • Added MHz to Processor Speed Value.
  • Preference changes such as displaying node scan times, highlighting differences, etc. now affects currently loaded nodes.
  • When AutoScan is turned off, status bar is updated correctly.

  • Refresh All Nodes:
  • You can now click on a container such as Current Scans or Saved SysCompare Scans and refresh the scans of all nodes in the folder. As with Automatic Refreshes, scans that require alternate credentials are not supported for SAVED scans.
  • UI Improvements:
  • Additional improvements have been made such as being able to turn off Scan Time for each computer displayed (via the Options Menu) and SysCompare will now restart with the same window size as your last use.
