New in Timeular 3.9.1 (Apr 29, 2021)

  • New features:
  • Everyone would like to spend more or less time on different things. This new version allows you to set and track more granular goals, e.g. spend less than 2h on emails. To create your first goal simply click on the "Set a goal" button in the top right of the Calendar view.
  • In the times of COVID everyone in the household is fighting over internet bandwidth. To relieve your internet connection we drastically decreased the size of our App updates.
  • With our redesigned left sidebar you can now distinguish individual spaces and their activities more easily.
  • Improved:
  • This release includes multiple improvements and fixes for the Bluetooth handling so the connection to your Tracker should be established faster and be more stable overall.

  • Previously, while being offline the Timeular app would sometimes use too much CPU power. This issue was fixed in this release
  • If you have a shiny new M1 Mac your Timeular app may have crashed when you quit it. We fixed this crash and will be shipping full native M1 support in one of the upcoming updates.

New in Timeular 3.8.0 (Apr 26, 2021)

  • New feature:
  • Everyone loves to look at beautiful charts 📊 and take a deep dive into the data. With this update, we give you the possibility to explore different use cases for our powerful insights immediately. Head over to the "Insights" section of our app, choose a date range where you have no data and try out the new demo mode.
  • Fixed:
  • Occasionally, our long task reminder took its job too seriously and stopped the tracking even in cases where it shouldn't have done so. We had a long conversation and it repeatedly promised to behave better in the future.

New in Timeular 3.7.0 (Jan 6, 2021)

  • New feature:
  • How you start your day highly affects the mood for the rest of the day. Opening Timeular with a 12h 46min 11s time entry running and waiting to be fixed is like having to fix the coffee machine before the first coffee.
  • Well, here comes our helpful new feature which you can configure to automatically stop tracking at a certain time. It's a small action that you can take now for a potential mood boost in future mornings
  • Talking about reminders. The long time entries reminder, which can be set to remind you to take a break after X minutes of tracking, can now be changed to repeat every X minutes. So instead of reminding you only after e.g. 30min and then never again, it can remind you after 30, 60, 90, .. minutes. This is helpful for the pomodoro technique too
  • And to make it easier to manage all your reminders and configure them so they are helpful and not annoying, we've added a quick-access menu on the weekly view and grouped them in a separate settings section.
  • Over the last months we've added many shortcuts to help you do many things quicker. We've collected them all in one place which you can access quickly with CMD+K/CTRL+K within the app or on the bottom left under Help > Keyboard shortcuts. Make sure to check out the shortcut menu
  • Improved:
  • Recently we've given you the ability to add Spaces and Activities from the Calendar view. Now you can even edit activities there. Just hover an activity and click on the ✏️
  • Until today you had to double-click to add a time entry to the calendar. Starting today it's just one single click. Quick and simple.
  • Our CMD+E/CTRL+E superpower might overlap with other apps you're using, therefore we've made it easier to customise the shortcut or disable it completely. Just head over to App Settings > QuickTrack. Don't know what we're talking about out? Check it out here.
  • Fixed:
  • While we love to add new helpful features, there is always some maintenance and bugfixing to be done. Just to mention a few, we've improved the experience for adding notes while offline, configuring the autostart settings on Windows, and accessing release notes behind a proxy.

New in Timeular 3.5.1 (Oct 21, 2020)

  • New feature:
  • Track time with one shortcut from any app. Just use CMD+E on Mac or CTRL+E on Win/Linux to open our new feature QuickTrack, start typing what you want to track, and hit enter. You can even start a tracking with an existing note.
  • It works from any text-editor, design-tool, email-client, and it's especially useful when you don't have the Tracker with you.
  • If a tracking is already running, you can use the same shortcut to add notes. Give it a try now!
  • Improved:
  • Just in time before winter our app reached a new peak level of performance and can handle thousands of entries without slowing down anymore.
  • On macOS our app will no longer ignore the native hide settings and get out of your way if you want it to. We still hope to see you here and there.
  • Fixed:
  • After summer we all get a bit sleepy and so did our app, which sometimes didn't recognise a flip of your Tracker. We put it on steroids and it's always super reactive now.

New in Timeular 3.4 (Oct 20, 2020)

  • New feature:
  • Pro feature: Do your clients or managers enjoy beautiful and insightful charts? Send them our new PDF report that you can now export from the top right of your analytics. The most impressive time report they might ever get.
  • Improved:
  • Just in time for the diving season, it's now easier to dive into your data. The revamped filters give you more opportunities to filter your stats, e.g. you can now search for entries that have either #this or #that tag, whereas beforehand you could only search for entries that had both of them. Just go and play with them!
  • Yes, it's me, this window speaking to you. Today is my last day of service at Timeular. In the next update my beautiful cousin will notify you about a new update and show you the news even before you get the update. Smart and helpful as always. Goodbye and thank you for spending time with me.
  • Fixed:
  • With a flaky internet connection it was impossible or very slow to change tabs. Sorry for that, we've fixed it.
