New in Topaz B&W Effects 2.0.0 (Feb 21, 2013)
- Improvements in Color Sensitivity and Color Filter functions to address halos and speed.
- Improvements in Grain function to address patterns and speed.
- Ability to change the background color for the photo area/frame has been added. This can be accomplished via the frame-button on the top toolbar.
- Ability to quickly view a part of the image at 100% (Inspect Mode) has been added.
- A QuickTools toolset has been made available to quickly adjust exposure, contrast etc.
- User experience for previewing of presets has been enhanced. Presets can be previewed on a larger floating frame that will appear as user hovers/moves mouse over preset items in the list.
- A QuickLook view has been implemented to view all presets in a collection at the same time.
- Snapshots have been a part of Topaz Labs plugins, v2 makes them more visual just like presets. Once captured, they will be available via "Snapshots" collection.
- Ability to mark a preset as a favorite has been added. A “Favorites” collection has also been added for quick access to user’s favorite presets.
- Look and feel of UI controls (sliders, buttons, checkboxes etc.) has been changed.
- A new cleaner, less distracting and efficient color scheme and layout has been adopted.
