• Passwords database view rework:
• Now, the controls to switch between opened databases appears only if you have at least 2 databases opened and were moved to the bottom of window.
• Database options menu link was moved right below the title and button to close database was added.
• Search field was made bit bigger for better access
• Password item view rework:
• Now, after click on existing item, the view on item is opened. The classic edit view is opened when you decide to edit record.
• The new view contains more information in the form of copyable text.
• The new view is split to:
• Actions panel to new item view was added with following features:
• Reveal password – shows the password which is hidden by default
• Check password security – quickly scan if password wasn’t part of security breach
• Open site or program – link to associated website or to open app in your PC
• Start autotype – to start autotype of actual password item
• Show full notes – if the record contains notes, they can be displayed alone within the record data view instead of basic info
• Edit record – to edit password item
• Delete record – to delete selected item from your database
• Change icon – to customize the record image
• Share password – to send account data to colleagues, customers or friends
• Copy actions (link to copy each information from the record to clipboard)
• Record data panel which is now displaying:
• Date of record creation and modification
• Date of password last change
• Password security status
• And all the stored information (username, password, record name, e-mail and notes)
• Share password via link feature was added:
• You can now share passwords with users who don’t have Treek’s Password Manager via this new feature.
• Feature is accessible in new item view, via context menu and via online sync menu item.
• Feature encrypts password item data by key (password) you choose or is randomly generated on your computer. After encryption, it is transmitted to our server where it is stored for maximum of 30 days.
• You can send the link containing the key or you can send the link requiring user to enter the key. Thus you can transmit link and key through different network to reduce security risk.
• You can set password record to be removed from server immediately after its read.
• You can also set password record shared to notify you about read time and reader’s ip address.
• Free accounts can create limited number of links.
• Reworked icons API:
• Icons are now transparent (if the service has transparent logo on the internet)
• Icons are now more carefully selected – no more distorted images
• Script helping to find the best icons is now automatically updated
• Memory (RAM) usage of this feature was optimized
• Link to clear icons cache was added to preferences
• Automatic password security check was added:
• Now, the password strength is automatically checked when you open existing password record.
• Automatic check can be disabled in Preferences
• Encryption improvement:
• Encryption initialization values (vector, salt and iterations) are now generated randomly each time you make a change in database and stored together with the database file
• If you set custom init values, they are not stored.
• CSV export was added
