What's new in Virtual Quantum Processor 5.1

Apr 6, 2020
  • Additional info:
  • The new version, Virtual Quantum Processor 5.1, has all its errors fixed for the gates CtrlZ, Swap and it reproduces the control qubits in the output along with the target qubits, for 2 qubit gates and 3 qubit gates.

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 5.0 (Feb 21, 2020)

  • The new application is a standalone exe file which does not need to
  • be installed

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 4.2 (Sep 24, 2019)

  • The latest Windows packages and updates from Microsoft have made the previous versions of this software incompatible. I have updated Virtual Quantum Processor to its 4.2 version, which is compatible to the latest updates from Microsoft to Windows, especially with NetCore 2.2

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 4.1 (Sep 10, 2019)

  • Virtual Quantum Processor 4.1 adds amplitude and phase normalization, which sets an upper limit of 1 for the maximum amplitude and 2 PI radians for the maximum phase.
  • Also, some of the gates can operate on quantum superpositions with a more wide range of amplitudes and phases than they did in the previous version, Virtual Quantum Processor 4.0.
  • Quantum entanglement is generated between a control and target qubit (first row and second row for example) if the bits are flipped from |0> to |1> or from |1> to |0> by a gate like CNOT while the input amplitudes are fractional numbers between 0 and 1 (quantum uncertainty is present). The maximally entangled Bell state is generated if the H gate is used on the control qubit before the CNOT gate is used on both the control and the target qubit.

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 4.0 (Sep 9, 2019)

  • Improved version. It allows the user to input the amplitudes and phases for an initial superposition of 0 and 1 bits in the light blue IN box and subject it to the quantum gates, the output Superposition can be seen in the dark blue OUT box.
  • The buttons for 1 qubit gates have a green background, to distinguish them from the Buttons for the 2 qubit gates which have an orange background and the 3 qubit gates which have a light blue background.

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 3.1 (Aug 23, 2019)

  • New added single-qubit gates: S, S*, T, T*
  • Two-qubit entangling gates: CtrlPhase, CtrlHadamard, CtrlY and CtrlZ.

New in Virtual Quantum Processor 3.0 (Aug 23, 2019)

  • Four new logic gates added: CtrlY, CtrlZ, CtrlPhase and CtrlHadamard
