Added an option when syncing with Google Calendar to sync event descriptions as either formatted text or plain text. Selecting the plain text option can fix cases where event descriptions contain HTML code after syncing, due to Google Calendar syncing with other apps that don't support formatted text descriptions.
Corrected authorization issues seen on some computers when attempting to sync with Google Calendar. VueMinder has been updated to use the latest Google Calendar and OAuth APIs.
Corrected various problems syncing with Google Calendar.
Corrected reminder snooze durations when using French as the interface language.
Corrected adding photos to contacts. Sometimes the photos would automatically rotate 90 degrees.
Updated the Dutch, German, Norwegian, and Spanish translations.

Improved the Event Editor to support formatting of individual words in event titles. Words can be colored via a right-click menu. Words can also be made bold, italic, or underline via standard keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl+B.
Improved performance of opening events - especially the first time after starting VueMinder. On most computers, opening an event should take less than a second or two.
Corrected Windows file-type registration of VueMinder for opening iCalendar (ics) files.

Corrected handling of the Ctrl+Alt+E shortcut when editing a description. The text was getting centered instead of the € symbol being inserted.
Corrected the Delete button on the Event Editor when an occurrence and all that follow of a recurring event is opened. Previously, clicking the Delete button wouldn't do anything.
Corrected spelling of certain words, such as color (colour) and synchronize (synchronise), when in the United Kingdom or Australia. This will happen automatically for new installations of VueMinder. For existing installations, select "English (United Kingdom)" or "English (Australia)" on the Language menu to see the spelling corrections.
Updated the German translation.

Added an option for the default contact "File As" names to be either "Last, First" or "First Last". This option is used when creating new contacts.
Improved syncing with Google Calendar to use the latest Google API library, which contain many corrections and improvements since the previously used version of the library.
Improved the reliability of syncing with Google Calendar. In some cases, changes to events wouldn't be detected and wouldn't properly synced. That should no longer happen.
Improved syncing with Google Calendar to reduce the number of queries against the Google Calendar API. VueMinder was hitting a daily quota limit (imposed by Google) on the number of queries, resulting in calendars not syncing. If enough people update to the new version, this should no longer be an issue (so please update!).

Improved contact photos to be saved under the VueMinder data folder. The images will now be included in the backup files generated by VueMinder and can be restored.

Added the ability to group calendars in the Calendar List. Grouped calendars can be displayed or hidden in a single operation by checking or unchecking the group’s checkbox. Calendars can be dragged and dropped between groups, or repositioned within the same group.
Added the ability to prioritize events and tasks. Available priority types default to “High”, “Medium”, “Low”, and “None”. These can be modified using a new “Priority Types” command from the “Tools” menu.
Added tabs to the Calendar Items (formerly Calendar List) area of the main window. These tabs can be used to dynamically switch how events are presented and filtered in the Calendar View and Event List. You can view and filter events and tasks by calendar, category, priority, and location. The visual appearance of these types can be customized using the Appearance Toolbar or Tools menu options. You can also combine filtering using these various types, or reset the filter using an X button at the bottom of the Calendar Items area. The display will correspond with whichever tab in the Calendar Items area is currently active.
Added "Display Type" menu options under the View menu for switching the display between showing event and task colors based on calendar, category, priority, and location. These new menu options also have shortcut keys of Alt+1 through Alt+5.
Added the ability to define a list of event locations. These can be edited by clicking the “…” button in the location field of the Event Editor, or by using the Tools menu. As with categories and priorities, different appearances can be assigned for event locations, and these can be viewed or filtered by activating the Locations tab of the Calendar Items area.
Added the ability to see search results within the Event List. Searches can be performed for any date range and will take a fraction of a second to display the results in the Event List. You can switch between previous searches using tabs, and dynamically adjust the date range used for the current search criteria.
Added the ability to print search results. To do this, select the “List” print style with “Search Results” content type.
Added the ability to specify an optional report title when printing. The title will appear at the top of every page. If no title is desired, the title text can be set blank.
Added the ability to associate events, or entire calendars, to a selected category or priority. This can be done by right-clicking the event or calendar.
Added tooltips to the Calendar List and other items in the Calendar Items window area. These tooltips will show calendar details and filtering status.
Added the ability to display a counter for yearly events (such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc). This counter will automatically show the appropriate value for each year, and can be configured to start at any value. The counter settings are located under the Yearly recurrence settings in the Event Editor.
Added the ability to define contacts using a new "Contacts" menu option, accessed from the Tools menu.

Added real-time calendar sharing over a local network. To share calendars in real-time, set the update frequency to "Automatically" when subscribing or sharing a calendars over a local network.
Added notification of conflicting events. There are two types of notifications - a simple label in the Event Editor window and a popup warning message. These can both be enabled or disabled, independently for each calendar via new "Event Conflict Handling" settings in the Calendar Properties window.
Added a "Calendar View" print style. This will print the calendar exactly as displayed in the Day/Week/Month View, including whatever number of days or weeks are selected for display.
Added a "Reset Filter" option to the Event List's "Filter" button's menu. This option will remove filters on all columns.
