New in Walrus Vision Toolbox 1.4 (Jun 11, 2014)
- New features:
- Introducing feature operations:
- Walrus Vision Toolbox has advanced options for edge detection, edge filtering. So far the toolbox was able to deal with different types of objects (so called features) detected on digital images. Now you have additional feature operations to make the edge detection far more advanced.
- Now you can finalize broken edge components.
- You can find and merge collinear line segment.
- You can fit circles to arc like edge fragments.
- You have the option to fit line on broken segments.
- With these new features you can improve your productivity and efficiency in edge detection, feature extraction or on any other related digital image processing operations.

New in Walrus Vision Toolbox 1.3 (May 22, 2014)
- New features:
- Filter usage and runtime statistics
- A new feature has been implemented what collects filter runtime and usage statistics. This feature is enabled by default , but you can turn it off. The runtime is measured in milliseconds and normed to an image with size 100 x 100 pixels.
- Control bar arrangement
- We had many request to fix the height issue of the control bar. Many of our users are running Walrus Vision Toolbox on monitors with lower screen height. This lead to the error, that some filter properties become unavailable. As a solution now you can rearrange the control bar to gain more space for filter properties.
- Java 8
- We have updated the source code to Java 8. This offers better performance and more features under the hood. On the other hand Java 8 does not support Windows XP any more so neither Walrus Vision Toolbox does.
