What's new in WatchDog 9.3

  • Added - Multi-browser filtering support. Watchdog will filter and monitor from any web browser inlcuding IE7, Firefox, AOL, Opera, etc.
  • Added - Keywords. Watchdog will now match keywords in the URL of any website being visited.
  • Added - Advanced tab. Look in the Options | Security | Advanced tab for an easy way to configure the advanced filter engine and the WatchDog Vet service.
  • Fixed - A problem with the help pages opening correctly.
  • Fixed - Group passwords. When adding a user to a group, you should still set or change the password from the user's options vs the group options.

New in WatchDog 8.5 (Jan 11, 2010)

  • IMPORTANT CHANGE - Inlcuded an optional service that should help relaunch Watchdog if it unexpectedly terminates (Windows XP Only).
  • Fixed - Pausing a session will now result in program time limits pausing as well.
  • Fixed - The inactivity feature, 'Action to take on screen saver start' should now work properly for both the 'Logout User' and the 'Stop Counting Time' options.
  • Fixed - The inactivity feature, 'Keyboard/mouse idle:'.

New in WatchDog 8.4.1 (Jan 11, 2010)

  • IMPORTANT CHANGE - WatchDog no longer authenticates against Windows user passwords on NT, 2000 or XP. NT and 2000 didn't support it well, and XP support did not work in some cases. Thus, all passwords are now ONLY verified against your WatchDog User's password.

  • IMPORTANT CHANGE - WINDOWS NT, 2000, XP ONLY - When using Windows Login, WatchDog will now authenticate passwords against your WINDOWS password, not the (otherwise unused) WatchDog password.
