New in Weather Station Data Logger 5.5.3.0 Beta (Jan 23, 2016)

  • For those using the WxShield with any of the following AcuRite sensors, you MUST update the WxShield sketch to verision 5.0.1 or later. These sensors will not decode properly without the sketch upgrade:
  • Oregon Scientific SL-109H
  • AcuRite models
  • 00955
  • 00964TX
  • 00782W3
  • 00606TX
  • 00609A1TX
  • If you are NOT using any of these sensors, the WxShield sketch does not need to be upgraded.
  • Support for AcuRite consoles in PC Connect Mode 3 is added (including the 02032C console). In fact, setting PC Connect Mode 3 is now required by WSDL.
  • WxShield support has been added for the AcuRite 00609A1TX sensor and requires a WxShield sketch upgrade to version 5.0.1 or later

New in Weather Station Data Logger 5.4.4.0 Beta (Jan 23, 2016)

  • Rainfall amounts were wrong on AcuRite stations if the Reset Processing or Bucket Tip counting options were enabled.
  • There is a major cleanup of USB communications with OS consoles.
  • New feature for custom specification of upload temp/rh sensor channels, see user manual (page 37) for details.
  • Please report any new problems or improvments in USB stability on the SourceForge Open Discussion forum.
  • The steam gauge package has not changed and do not need upgrading with this release.
  • Steam gauges can be installed using the installer provided in the current stable release, 5.3.6.1

New in Weather Station Data Logger 5.4.3.0 Beta (May 20, 2015)

  • Here is a quick list of new features:
  • Support for AcuRite 02032C console over USB (PC Connect Mode 4 ONLY)
  • Support for more sensors through Arduino WxShield (Arduino sketch update required). The new version 4.2.0 Arduino sketch is also available in the downloads directory.
  • New column in Arduino sensor manage showing model numbers in the RF codes table. This makes it easier to figure out which sensor is which.
  • Added support for AcuRite 00964TX and AmbientWeather F007TH sensors (Arduino sketch update required).
  • Added support for OS BTHGN129 sensor.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • System clock was not updating when AcuRite 02032C data was received.
  • Wind speeds were too low by 50%.
  • Removed clock synchronization label from GUI clock panel because the 02032C has no real-time clock to be synchronized.

New in Weather Station Data Logger 5.4.2.1 Patch (May 13, 2015)

  • Patch 5.4.2.1 fixes a typo in the ID code for BTHGN129 sensors. The patch is only required to receive BTHGN129 sensors with WxShield hardware. To install the patch, extract the zip file into the WSDL installation directory (somewhere in Program Files usually) and over-write existing files.

  • Bug Fixes:
  • View...Barometer...SLP was not working. Fixed.
  • FTP passwords had numerous problems. This should work better now.
  • In some cases, FTP tag replacement was displaying times in the wrong time zone. Fixed.
  • FTP upload of graphics was broken. Fixed.
  • Enhancements:
  • Axis scaling when both temperature and RH are graphed are zoomed in more now.
  • When only RH is being graphed, scale is moved to left side and the range scales to fit data.

  • Temperatures above 51.1C or below -51.1C would have been in error by 0.2C (although
