  • Multiple fixes including the yahoo weather api has been fixed(it was before pulling the data without oauth which is now required by yahoo) so now the library that provides this pWeatherLib.dll has been rewritten as such to fix that issue.
  • Implemented back the Generate Free License Key system(yay!) since it appears no one could get through our email system and we only noticed that when someone tried our livechat software and left a message there trying to get a key; so this problem should be no more.
  • Major Miscellaneous Changes/Fixes:
  • Fixes to make the 5 day forecast work again(and also make the 2day forecast work)

New in Weather4U 3.0.0.0 (Aug 19, 2014)

  • Completely rewritten code, new features as well
  • Software now requires .net 4.5.1 and so does our new installer require
  • The software now uses the newest version of our licensing system so as this is a complete rewrite of our licensing system there was no way to keep the generate free license key system as that functionality won't be available until our licensing system provider can put it back into our licensing system so for the time being all license key requests must be done manually as it was used to be done before we finally got the generate licensekey system working before.
  • If you had a license key before your license key has been moved over to the new licensing system so you can still use it.
  • Also New Installer for Weather4U appears in this big new release as told by our website, where it no longer uses inno setup anymore we now use sharpsetup and as such requires .net framework 4.5.1 to be able to install Weather4U but have made sure both the installer & Weather4U use .net framework 4.5.1
  • Also since xp is no longer supported or any version before or under windows 7 or vista, we had no choice but to cut support for it as Microsoft no longer supports it and so no longer do we due to we depend on .net 4.5.1 which Microsoft will not support on xp or under windows 7 or vista.
  • Also we have fixed the update url and everything so that know it talks to the right server this time, as previous versions of Weather4U didn't talk to our server it talked to another server that we no longer use,
  • As the point above it is required you upgrade to this version so you can get the latest updates without you being left out in the dark on new features, new bug fixes, etc.
  • Also since xp is no longer supported neither is anything below it, since only vista, windows 7 and windows 8 is supported by Microsoft, we can only support this version going forward & future versions.

  • This Version Has A Re-enabled AutoGenerateFreeLicenseKey Function. We Have fixed it.

New in Weather4U 2.0.0.26 (Dec 26, 2012)

  • Now the bug has been fixed that would not let anyone activate Weather4U. Also we are using a new database because our old database hosting provider wasn't reliable. Also if you had a license key before we moved the database your license key was lost and you will have to email KeyedInSoftware at [email protected] to get a new key because we lost all of our license keys. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.
  • Also We Have disabled the generate free license key feature in Weather4U until we can get it fixed. Because when we moved all the licensing services and the database we have trouble with appharbor's load balancing feature and until we can get this fixed we will have to disable the Auto Generate Free License Key feature in Weather4U Again we are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

  • This Application has been changed from using clickonce to a setup file so you must uninstall the old version and install this latest version.
  • There Is Now A Visible Satellite Feature In Weather4U.
  • Now Instead Of Clickonce Updating this software we now use netsparkle to update this application.
  • The Problem with clickonce that prevented this application from installing was why we removed clickonce and started to use a setup file so now you can install Weather4U Again without not being able to install due to some clickonce error.
  • Now there is a check for updates button now on Weather4U.
  • Now there is a settings txt file that is created in Weather4U's Folder in the Application Data that enables
  • A Debug Window Of NetSparkle to come up and tell us extra debug info if we needed it(but please note do not enable it unless told to do so by KeyedInSoftware because it is for testing purposes only.)
  • There Was A Improvement in the Eula Dialog, you will no longer have to deal with a dialog appearing and then disappearing when you start Weather4U and you have already agreed to the eula.

New in Weather4U 2.0.0.13 (Jul 30, 2012)

  • In This Version the bug was fixed that allowed people to get more than one license key. If you have already gotten a license key from the last version of Weather4U then you will be able to generate one more license key only(which is equal to or less than 30 violation limits.) but after you generate the license key in this version you will not be able to generate another license key and when you try to generate a new license key it will show you your license key in the textbox that you generated before(for your convenience)
  • and will say that you cannot generate another license key and that the license key you already have will be put in the license key textbox for your convenience.
  • Now you can generate a license key with 30 violation limits or less
  • Also Now the Eula in the clickonce setup has been removed and has instead been put directly into Weather4U so that when you start Weather4U for the first time you must agree to the eula(end user license agreement) or you will not be able to use Weather4U until you do accept the eula in Weather4U.

  • Also There is a Added Feature on the Prompt For Key Dialog that allows you to get straight to the Generate Free License Key Dialog and generate your license key and then copy your license key to the clipboard and then exit out of the Generate Free License Key Dialog and then put the license key in the Prompt For Key Dialog and activate your license key.
  • Also There is a New Feature on the Generate Free License Key Form that allows you to specify how many violation limits you want (equal to or less than 25 violation limits) for a license key.
  • Now you can generate keys for Weather4U Inside Of Weather4U(with equal to or less than 25 violation limits) without even waiting for your license key to arrive via email(of course you cannot generate license keys with more than 25 violation limits, for that you still have to email us to get a license key that has more than 25 violation limits)

  • Also There Is a New Recheck License Feature in this version of Weather4U. You can now activate Weather4U While it is Running and you can click Recheck License Button On The License Manager Panel And Then You can have all the features re-enabled without even restarting Weather4U to reactivate all of the Features of Weather4U that was disabled when you was unlicensed.
  • The Five Day Forecast Has Been Updated And Fixed.

  • Now you can generate your license keys inside of Weather4U
  • Now You Can Also once you generate your license key inside of Weather4U you can also increase the violation limit up to 25 unique computers but you cannot increase it more than 25, you will have to contact KeyedInSoftware by email at [email protected] to get your violation limit increased to more than 25 unique computers. but you must have generated the license key in Weather4U for the violation limit function in Weather to work.
  • You can now listen to mp3's and it will play through all the mp3's you have added to the playlist on Weather4U, so now you can be listening to your mp3's files on your computer without having to be at your computer to play each mp3 file, which means it will now allow you to add all of your mp3 files and it will play each one automatically, without you having to be there to play each one.
  • Also there is a Repeat function on the mp3 player now.
  • you can now repeat your songs so when it reaches the end of the song it will go back to the top and play all of the songs over again until you uncheck the checkbox for the repeat function on the mp3 player.

  • This release also adds a UpdateNotifier Icon to your Taskbar, for you to check for updates manually, and to check for updates automatically (this code is still under production.) so the check for updates automatically may not work from the UpdateNotifier Icon.
  • The application will check for updates automaticly upon startup of the application by clickonce.
  • We also fixed the problem with the extra media player opening up when you click play on the radio tab of Weather4U.
