  • On older Windows systems, if WeatherMate was prevented from creating a desktop shortcut, the message displayed when this happened required it to be manually dismissed. Now, the message automatically disappears after 10 seconds

  • Metric long descriptions of forecasts for Tonight and Tomorrow Night specified wind speeds in mph instead of kph

  • WeatherMate would sometimes crash with a "Parameter is not valid" exception.
  • If a radar animation sequence isn't available for a location, the location's base radar image is used. Previously, no radar image was being shown for that location.
  • The application would sometimes crash when adding more than 6 locations.
  • Selecting some locations in Mexico (e.g. Tijuana) would cause the application to crash.

  • Enhancements:
  • Added an option to allow the splash screen to be moved to the lower right corner if it takes a long time for WeatherMate to perform the initial retrieval of weather information.
  • Bug fixes:
  • WeatherMate now displays an error message (instead of crashing) if the computer's speech settings prevent the application from speaking the weather.
  • The application crashes on some systems when updating the weather when there's no severe weather alert indicated for the current location.
  • WeatherMate's position switches to "Custom" when the system wakes up from sleep mode. (This bug continues to exist when WeatherMate is not displayed on the primary monitor.)
