WindowMaster Changelog

What's new in WindowMaster 0.4.5 Beta

Apr 7, 2010
  • In this release we added Show Active Actions. This will bring up a Message Box displaying all of your active actions. In a future release, I might create a custom Window so that large numbers of actions can be scrolled.
  • Also in this release, I've added better support for opening up another instance of WindowMaster. So if WindowMaster is running and you try to open a new instance, the Settings Window of the original instance will be shown instead of a Dialog box notifying you that WindowMaster is already running. This will let you create an action to quick show the Settings Window by using the Start Application action.
  • The library has not been changed.
  • If you would just like to use this application, download the WindowMaster 0.4.5 and install. After the installation, download the default configuration file and import it. That should get you started. The default config file mimics the behavior of Windows 7.
  • Here are a list of all currently supported actions:
  • Change Window Opacity
  • Dock and Move Window
  • Dock Window
  • Maximize Window
  • Media Key - Map any HotKey to Play/Pause, Stop, Previous, Next, Volume Up/Down, Mute
  • Minimize a Window to the System Tray (Click on the icon to restore the window to it's previous location)
  • Minimize / Restore all other windows except the foreground window
  • Move foreground window to next screen
  • Recover Orphan Windows
  • Restore Window Up
  • Restore Window Down
  • Show Active Actions
  • Start A Process or Bring a currently running process to the foreground
  • Start WindowMaster when Windows starts
  • Stretch Window (Vertically or Horizontally)

New in WindowMaster 0.4.4 Beta (Apr 3, 2010)

  • In this release we added Media Key. Now if you don't have a media keyboard you can map any HotKey to the Media Keys (Play/Pause, Stop, Previous, Next, Volume Up/Down, Mute). This version is identical to 0.4.3 except for a small UI fix on the Settings window. The library has not been changed.
  • If you would just like to use this application, download the WindowMaster 0.4.4 and install. After the installation, download the default configuration file and import it. That should get you started. The default config file mimics the behavior of Windows 7.
