ioFTPD Changelog

What's new in ioFTPD 7.1.0 Beta

Feb 5, 2010
  • ioFTPD support for NTFS junctions and symlinks.
  • Symbolic user paths (keep symlinks in current working path).
  • Help / site help commands (actual helpfiles coming soon!).
  • View and enable/disable devices and services. Useful for multi-ISP or local network servers.
  • iTCL access to directory listings and support for symbolic path resolving.
  • Several new site commands as well as new options to existing commands.

New in ioFTPD 7.0.3 (Feb 5, 2010)

  • Integrated support for "real" virtual filesystems into the core resolving logic. You can now fake out entire directory trees anywhere in the filesystem through TCL scripts.
  • VFS Admins are now more powerful.
  • 3 New/Modified site commands
  • 10 New/Modified .ini features
  • 8 New/Modified cookies
  • 2 new TCL vars and 10 New/Modified iTCL commands.
  • Fixed the "426 Connection closed: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress." annoying error.
  • Fixed several serious memory leaks causing server stability issues in some configurations.
  • Potentially fixed the "lockup" bug.
  • EXEC event anti-timeout feature.

New in ioFTPD 6.9.3 Beta (Feb 5, 2010)

  • A few %1T color messages are still in a few replies, all are fixed in an upcoming release.
  • Messages files that including things like the transfer status update contain an ANSI reset control code at the end of the line that some clients don't remove and thus it looks bad. Fixed in next release.
  • Stability problems with the lockup bug seem to be significantly higher on w2k3 servers. I don't have any confirmed reports on other window's flavors based upon logs sent to me so XP/Vista/w2k8 from my experience seem OK. In fact, on my single core XP machine I have never had the lockup bug hit.

New in ioFTPD 6.4.3 (Feb 5, 2010)

  • Lots of new features and hopefully a fix for the lockup bug...
