jKeyCrypt Changelog

What's new in jKeyCrypt 1.3.2

Mar 26, 2014
  • Minor fixes from last update:
  • New option to generate a new key file at any time, (gui only)
  • The key file can overwrite the local key file (if you request it!)
  • Works with text encrypted with version 1.3 or later)
  • This is helpful for people who want to be able to manage multiple keys
  • You can generate 3 keys, export each one, and name them based on what their for, then when you need to decrypt a message
  • just load the necessary key (don't overwrite your local one)
  • and for the rest of that session, you can decode messages encoded with that key file, and if you were to close the program, and open it again
  • you'd be back to your old key file
  • You can load as may keys as you want, or even have multiple windows open, and as long as you don't tell it to overwrite, your old key will remain intact, and will automatically load on the next launch
