New in nHancer 2.4.4 (Jan 27, 2009)

  • Improved the application scanner, some applications not found previously are now detected correctly.
  • nHancer can be used while it’s scanning for applications. The result of the last scan is also saved.
  • When resizing nHancer’s window, the profile list will now automatically scale with the window while the description pane keeps its vertical size. Note than you can still resize the description pane freely by grapping the pane divider just above the description pane.
  • Bugfix: Closing nHancer right after it had been started could result in a 30 second delay until the process actually died.

New in nHancer 2.4.3 (Jan 27, 2009)

  • Added French translation

New in nHancer 2.4.2 (Jan 27, 2009)

  • Recognizes GT2x chips correctly (without a patch) and offers the correct AA modes for these chips.
  • Made changes for the new drivers (177.40 and later) where the control panel no longer write the global settings to the registry but only to nvapps.xml. nHancer will still write everything to the registry, especially since there are many options not reflected in nvapps.xml. But it will now read the changes made by the control panel back from the nvapps.xml file.
  • Increased maximum prerender limit to 8 (just like the control panel).
  • Added an automatic update feature
  • Small bugfixes

New in nHancer 2.4.1 (Jan 27, 2009)

  • Added status window while scanning for the “only installed applications” profile filter.
  • Sped up the application scanning.
  • Application scanning will only be done if the “only installed applications” profile filter is actually selected and only as soon as it’s necessary to actually display the profile list. This fixes the problem with Beta 7’s long startup time on some machines.
  • Bugfix: Fixed crash when current prerender in the registry is set to a higher value than nHancer expected. Also increased maximum value to 5.
  • Bugfix: Fixed crash when more than 20 distinctive search phrase were entered in the profile search field.
  • Fixed several problems with importing profiles and the autoimport.
  • Fixed several smaller UI bugs.

  • Bugfix: If the user selected another monitor as the primary display as detected by default, the nHancer support service denied access to the registry.
  • Bugfix: Due to a typo it could happen in some rare cases that the nHancer support service would deny to write the file nvapps.xml
  • Bugfix: On XP systems, the nHancer support service blocked system shutdown for about 20 seconds.
  • On some systems the nHancer support service wasnt ready yet when the main program was trying to access it. Now nHancer will try to connect the service for 20 seconds before giving up.
