  • Improvements:
  • "Orders" tab position has been changed. Now the "Order products" tab is always displayed first. It's saved in configuration setting for later usage.

New in Store Manager for osCommerce 5.2.7 Build 1515 (Dec 22, 2012)

  • Features:
  • New Customer ID column has been added to Product Grid;
  • Now you can save generated PDF reports with their default titles;
  • BugFixes:
  • When selecting images, you are allowed to enter image paths including up to 255 symbols, before it was possible to use 64 symbols only. Large image paths won?t be cut in the process of image upload;
  • In the process of data import not all product related information was being deleted, in case "Delete products that are not listed in .csv" box was checked. Similar issue happened in the process of data synchronization with Doba by means of Doba Integration Addon. In case some product is listed in Doba, but not in Store Manager, it should be deleted. Not it functions properly;
  • The Automated Product Import running was not finished until Store Manager was closed. This issue has been corrected;
  • After reconnecting not all the windows could be fully screen opened. This issue has been fixed;

  • The possibility to import XML files into the program has been added. It allows you to import XML files from the first step of import process and assign necessary fields;
  • Improvements:
  • The ability of Manufacturer's choose has been add in drop-down menu of Mass Product changer.

New in Store Manager for osCommerce 5.2.5 Build 1491 (Oct 6, 2012)

  • New Features:
  • Large Images support has been added and now you can work with them in QuickTab Section.
  • Now you can perform Import \ Export of Large Images. If a table Products_Images exists in DataBase, then the check box "Delete existing large images when importing new" will appear while import.
  • Improvements:
  • Some major improvements of Orders sections have been made. Namely, Total window has been reduced, grid size in the status window has been changed. It was done for more convenient usage, since in the previous versions of the program it was hard to read a comment due to small size of the grid. Also now when you open Orders window, then automatically in the first turn Order Products tab will be displayed.
  • BugFixes:
  • Previously when you edited the user and there wasn't user's birth date indicated, the program automatically set the date of the edit instead of the actual date of birth. Now issue is corrected.
  • Formerly, the process of making backup of multiple stores called Access violation message. This inconvenience has been fixed and now the process is performed without any difficulties.
  • While Multi Store Search, Access Violation message was raised. This situation is checked. Now Multi Store Search works fine.
  • In the previous versions of the program, there occurred Access violation message while changing the focus from one product to another and after copying large amounts of text in the description of the product in Raw HTML mode.
  • There has been an issue with Access management section. Previously when you set there a limitation for some user on import / export and when you switch to another database without having Access management activated, then button import / export will be inactive. Now this problem was fixed. The option for import/export will be active and available for use.
  • Previously after you change the language from English to any other you have at your store, the Connection list was not reflected in your SMTP settings. Now this issue is fixed and Connection list is displayed correctly.
  • Formerly, in the situation when you disable the ability to perform Backup / Restore function for the definite user, but at the same time if the operation Get Data from Web is still allowed for him in the Access management section, then it was not possible perform Get Data and retrieve new data from the store. This issue was fixed and Get data from web operation works fine.

  • Products Export was not working on stores without Products Extra Fields. Now this issue is fixed.

  • New Features:
  • New automatic connection wizard:
  • New automatic connection wizard has been released. Now you can use Simple or Advanced mode for configuration of settings. All you need for simple mode is just to fill in FTP settings. All the rest will be done by our Connection Wizard. If you are familiar with communication protocols you can use Advanced mode.
  • HTTP tunnel:
  • New type of database connection has been added - HTTP tunnel. This is an alternative way of connecting to your database and it possesses the features both of PrestaShop direct and bridge connection.
  • Advantages:
  • this type of connection is useful if you don't have direct access to MySQL database;
  • you don't need to do POST \ GET operations each time to refresh data on store and in Store Manager for osCommerce.
  • Disadvantages:
  • .php file is used by HTTP -tunnel, that's why the speed of work depends on your channel speed capacity. If you have unstable connection, it is better for you to use bridge connection as it works with database cash. We don't recommend importing products if HTTP tunnel is set up. We are working on the improvement of connection and planning to implement caching in the next release.
  • The possibility to download the software via mini-installer program has been added to Store Manager for OsCommerse. Its small size of 2 MB allows you to quickly download and register the trial version of Store Manager for testing before purchasing it.
  • The ability to copy data (make snapshot) in the process the automatic products import has been implemented. This function is useful in order to see which products have been changed after the import.
  • Improvements:
  • Now the html editor recognizes the URLs of the images and reflects them if they are in the text editor.
  • A new system of User Access Management has been developed. Now you can grant specific permissions to Store Manager users allowing them to perform certain operations whereas other areas may be disabled. This feature is suitable for store owners who want to restrict access to store data depending on specific user role e.g. Product Manager, Order Manager etc.
  • The process of images management for osCMax users has been improved. Now the program automatically determines the FTP folder "images_big" and loads the images there.
  • In order to improve the usability of the program, the buttons Expand/Collapse were removed.
  • Currency symbol has been replaced by the currency code in the column Total of Orders section. This was done due to the fact that previously the characters were displayed incorrectly if the databases were encoded in different way: Latin1 - UTF8.
  • The elements of section Orders have been placed in different order and to different positions to make the process of orders management easier and more convenient.
  • Now when the shipping cost is added to the order, the price of the order will be automatically recalculated.
  • Fixes:
  • Now, if you connected to the database for the first time and you edit a product, the focus won't be switched to another category.
  • Previously, BLOB fields worked incorrectly when Edit product Tab was opened. Now this issue is fixed.

  • The possibility to edit descriptions of additional languages of the store using tabs has been added
  • Now you can identify products by the name of the final category, not the full path during the process of import

  • The issue with recording empty values in "text" field was fixed. Now the program fills in the text field correctly.
  • Previously the issue occurred when during the editing of product description the scroll-bar was used. Now it works without any issues.
