  • Fixes English movie names for IMDb Movies.
  • Now checks movie names using m.imdb.com. (mobile site version), seems to always return English movie names by default... without the need to log into IMDb.
  • akas.imdb.com is not used anymore.
  • In Movie mode settings, please leave 'Preferred Language' as Blank to use English names by Default.
  • Other preferred languages should still work.

  • TV.com fixed.
  • Simpsons pass 19 seasons bug when using 3 digit 101 format.
  • 'Use Folder Name' improved to recognize the folder storing the file is actually a Season Folder, and will use the folder before it.
  • Force Fetch/Archive Folder parameters without -fetch. Using parameters -af and -ff to specify the archive folder and fetch folder. (without -fetch in front will run in normal mode).

  • IMDb's TV episode titles are fixed.
  • TV Manual Move was generating .nfo. Should not.
  • Installer does not ask for file Overwrite confirmations.
  • By default, it will not overwrite anymore. In any case where you wish to install the default databases/settings/keywords, please delete the from C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\theRenamer first before installing.

  • Shows using 2012 AirDates from theTVDB mode.
  • TV.com now works again.
  • .nfo that were encoded in Unicode should work now. (Should not freeze up).
  • .nfo files now follow the filename of the video file. If movie is split into 2 or 3 files, nfo will use the first part.
  • Added a Quit.bat to ..\Documents\theRenamer
  • When theRenamer exits (from the title bar's close button), it will run this .bat file.
  • Some users have reported that theRenamer did not quit properly, and needed to kill task from task manager.
  • The Quit.bat is only an additional step. Even without it, it should quit too.
  • With this .bat, you can also run other apps or run new task after theRenamer quits.
  • Google Pause has been extended (doubled) to avoid Blocking IP.

New in theRenamer 7.54 (Apr 10, 2012)

  • TV.com to update scraping to their new site. A new database is required as the old URL doesn't work anymore. FYI, Filename is usercodes_TV2.txt. Included some examples. Delete them if you don't watch those shows.
  • Episodes >99 with Zeros in front. (AirDate/Absolute Numbers only)
  • Additional ethumbs.db and ethumbs_vista.db are supported.

  • Fixed an issue when !!! NETWORK ERROR !!! occurs frequently when FireFox (v5 or higher) is the Default Browser.
  • You can still keep FireFox as the Default Browser.
  • IF you do encounter !!! NETWORK ERROR !!!, please use your browser and check if you can still connect to the website.

  • "CAMELOT" and "CAM" keywords have been removed from TVkeywordsHardcoded.txt. Manually delete them if you do not wish to overwrite that file when installing.

  • Quit is improved. So far exits properly even without the batch files:
  • Bat file is left there just in case, and you can still execute your own commands from the RunAfterQuit.bat file after Quit.
  • Movie Mode's AutoMove OFF:
  • From now, when it's OFF, a new folder with proper names is created where you dragged from.
  • Old method of just renaming files no longer works.
  • Rar files will now be skipped in TV Mode. (r01 - rXX)
