I don't know exactly where to start from? The word "cool" could be an idea, but it wouldn't be suggestive enough. This week's game is more than neat, it's simply excellent.

With a strange theme, something that not all games around can brag about, Evolution transforms you into an underwater organic life form, which must survive the attacks of other, more evolved life forms.

It's good to know that quick reflexes are a must for this game. Anyway, you start the game in a protozoan form, looking like a figurine made from clay for kids. You have huge eyes and a big mouth. In this level, you will have to eat some tiny creatures and avoid the bigger ones in order to evolve.

The gameplay is pretty simple; all you have to do is wiggle your mouse on the screen, up and down and left to right to move your character. Be careful though - a rushed move can make your little friend bump into a bigger life form and become its dinner.

In the right side of the screen, on top, you will notice the food bar. The level is won, once that bar is filled to the maximum. When you evolve, you will become (from the hunted) the hunter and you'll be able to eat bigger life forms. But don't get too cocky, because you still have to watch your back against bigger predators.

While eating, you will come against some power-ups. Magnet Food is one of them. This power-up will make the creatures around you be attracted to you and you will be able to eat more.

Another power-up is the 500 Points, which of course, will add more points to your score. Another one that comes in handy is the Invisible one. This will make you invisible to your pray and to other bigger hunters. Use it, because it fades pretty quickly.

At one point in your development, you will be able to mate. You can choose from two different types of females, both yellow, but with different physical characteristics. They like to eat different things. To impress one you will eat the only things she does. But this comes with a little warning: eating what the other female likes will make the one you want to impress dislike you. Also, the dinner won't come so easy since the whole action goes on a tiny screen with some foes to dodge.

If the mating ritual goes well, you will end up being a daddy. Now comes the part when you have to defend the nest and the eggs from all those who want a taste from them. You must rescue at least 3 eggs from all the eggs you have. A certain amount of tries is given to you and your nest must remain almost untouched by the predators.

If you managed this, be prepared. The eggs are hatching and you'll have babies. The little ones won't be able to sit still and your job is to keep them in the nest, while you have to keep defending it. The same "time rule" will apply here too.

While playing this part, I came across a little bug. Sometimes the predators would eat all the eggs or babies before my character will spawn in the scenario. I learn that (coincidence or not) if you stay and read the instructions that are presented at the beginning of this trial and won't skip them, the spawning problem is solved... so, take your time.

If this stage of the game is surpassed, you will kinda reload the same stages, but with one from the "new generation". After you go through the same stages, but with some different predators or meals, you arrive in the ocean and the cycle repeats. But here's the problem - even if you get a new character, the game-play remains the same and that's a bit boring, especially in a short game like this, with only 35 stages.

Nevertheless, the idea of the game remains original, the game-play unique and this will make many of the casual gamers very happy. Enjoy!
