Fashion Craze

This end of the year was bombed by some fashion games. Usually we barely have one/year, but not now. Anyway, from games like Fashion Fits, Fab Fashion, Fashion Story and others I chose Fashion Craze.

First, because I thought that it is a little tiny bit different than the others and second I liked the graphics better. Maybe an unfashionable person would avoid this kind of games, but c'mon people... It's just a game and you don't have to be a clothes designer or even have artistic aptitudes to enjoy this.

The story of the game revolves around Maria, who's a journalist for various women's magazines. One day she receives a surprise call from her dear Aunt Lynne. Lynne wants her to manage a fashion shop, even though Maria doesn't have any retail experience. And so, Maria accepts her offer in order for you to start the game. Your mission is simple: keep your customers happy even if their fashion tastes are not the best ever. You'll soon see that your mission is not that easy.

The scenery in which the game takes place if full of sewing machines, trash cans, chairs, sofas, coffee machines and much more. Once a customer arrives at the scene, your job is to attend to him. The game-play goes like this: first you drag your customer in the seat and wait for his/her order. The order will appear in a bubble on top of the character's head. During the first levels, the clients will choose from skirts, pants, blouses and sun glasses, all in various colors.

After the customer stated his/her order, you will drag the colored material to the sewing machine that produces the required item. Once it is done, you drag it onto the customer and then with that you will bring the client into the dressing room. When it will come out he/she will leave the money, you will cash it and so you made your customer happy.

At one point in the game you can start costuming Maria's character and dress her as you want. Also, you will get two helpers, Cynthia and Lisa. As the levels go by, you'll realize that the customers want different clothes. The sewing machines in the shop will increase in numbers. Also the materials from which you make the clothes will increase in numbers and in colors. That's when you can start upgrading your little shop too.

But the game doesn't end here. The customers are picky and after they ask for one item they can think again and ask for other ones, while new customers wait in line. To calm down the spirits you can start offering coffee and treats. The children customers can be served candies and little presents.

And here we have a twist, I may say, from what we usually know. The best example is the "mood" that each character has. Keep in mind in what order you arrange your customers in the waiting line. A businesswoman will react negatively while sharing a sofa with a model or an annoying kid.

At this point you may wonder why the fuss? The answer is simple. Like in any other game like this, your goal is to collect a certain sum of money to close the day. When that goal is reached, the level is won.

I will not spoil all the fun that you can have playing this game, so if there's more I will let you discover it for yourself. The game is so fun, that it can make you smile, but don't get too attached to it because at one point you'll realize that you'll get bored. Enjoy!
