Everyone seeks information and knowledge since an informed person is, undoubtedly, more in control. How many times did it happen to you to choose the wrong clothes because you weren't aware about the coming rainfall? Have you ever been in the situation when heavy snows or high winds prevented you from getting in time for something important? You can't control time, weather or the movements of the planet. But if you know in what direction, so to say, these elements are going, then you regain the control over the situation.

This is when Click Clock comes in and saves the day for you. With its detailed weather, time, calendar and dozens of satellite and world maps, this application can keep you informed on almost all you need to know. You will have to pay $20 for all this, but you also have a 14 days trial period to fully assess the capabilities of the application.

Once you install and start the application, Click Clock greets you with a visible clock and calendar, details about sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset, as well as the current temperature and humidity. The access to the weather, radar, satellites and other sections is facilitated by the corresponding buttons or by a simple click on the date.

Some of the satellite maps are animated, so you will feel like you have your own meteorological station on your computer. The radar maps bundled in the software cover the entire territory of the USA and can show details such as latitude, longitude, rivers, highways, and cities. They are also interactive so you can zoom in to take a closer look at a certain area.

After you get passed the main screen and start digging for information, you will get extensive details, maps and even a built-in browser to help you find exactly what you need to know. Click Clock enables you to view weather forecasts, radar and satellite maps from numerous sources so you can compare the data instead of having to rely on one or two forecasts.

Time related functions of Click Clock are also very detailed, thus making it possible for you to know the exact time in every little place on the planet while synchronizing your computer's clock at the same time. This app will give you the opportunity to choose from literally myriads of Internet time servers worldwide to sync your PC time. Also, this application has a calendar ranging from 1756 to 3429. That's over one and a half millennia of Mondays, Tuesdays, Januaries and Decembers you can choose from and all the days and months are written in your native language.

If you're an astronomy enthusiast, this software has some things stored for you too. From the movements of the Sun and the Moon, equinoxes and solstices to meteor showers, they are all to be found in Click Clock. You simply have to choose the section: Moon, Planet or Graph to view the details that might interest you. And there are things to be seen as the application will tell you the exact dates for expected meteor showers, Earth surface and astronomical coordinates, as well as all the eclipse info you need.

Using this app you can check two dozens of map sites to find out a specific location, how to get there by car or by aerial transportation. Very useful if you're going on a vacation or just in a place you've scarcely heard of. All you need to do is simply set the location, open the maps you want to look into and you will get instant information about the selected place.

Click Clock also has a set of different, yet very useful tools such as a scientific calculator, a unit converter, Merriam-Webster dictionary and thesaurus, Google and Wikipedia encyclopedia search engines. The seven unit converters allow you to change kilograms to pounds, Fahrenheit degrees to Celsius degrees, liters to gallons, miles to kilometers and so on. This is the knowledge component of the application that will allow you to stay informed and also get instant explanations for unknown things. Another handy feature is the holiday section that displays the most important dates for each year.

All things considered, Click Clock may have it all: time, weather, astronomy, maps and the tools to keep you informed anytime. However, if you don't live in the USA and still want to find out all the details, the radar section won't help you and the satellite area will also do little in the same direction. Also, you have to bear in mind the price tag of $20 before deciding if this software is really what you are after.

The Good

Click Clock is bundled with many useful functions related to weather, time, astronomy, world maps that have a high informative value for each aspect they deal with.

Another great thing is that the application is quite easy to configure and work with and level of detail it provides is unparalleled.

The Bad

In spite of the in-depth detailing, Click Clock lacks a feature that would really make it universal, namely it is restricted mostly to the USA and the North American continent in terms of satellites and radar maps.

The Truth

Click Clock definitely stands out when it comes to providing accurate and reliable information in a snap. It certainly pays to have such an application with which only a glance suffices to know the time and weather and it takes a minute to find the best route to a certain location.

Perhaps Click Clock would become more complete and appealing for a broader audience if it received some additions, such as Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia satellites, radars and maps.

It's a good thing you get a full-featured trial before deciding if you want to spend those 20 dollars, so you can give it a try and see if Click Clock fits the bill.
