Here is where Reminder Xpert comes into action. This little tool can make the difference when it comes to meeting the deadlines of your projects, remembering a meeting or putting an end to forgetting your friends' birthdays.
The application comes as a demo allowing you to test its functionalities without any time limitations. The only limitation is that it will not save the created tasks after you close the application or shutdown / restart your computer. However, if you put your computer in Hibernation or Sleep mode, the application will continue to work after you resume your session. In order to access all the features of Reminder Xpert and save all your events, you have to buy it for 19$.
With the purchase details all set, let's take a look at the functional part of this utility. The interface is as simple as it can be and gives you quick access to all the features. You will be able to easily view and manage all your events from one window.
The application comes with pre-entered events specific to American and Canadian people and it allows you to enter your own with a few clicks. In order to add a new event, you have to press the green "+" button from the main window.
In this new window, you will be able to enter the name, event type, time, early notice and even a note to remind you of something important. The program comes with many types of events you can choose from (holiday, birthday, anniversary, appointment, meeting, payment, TV show, leisure and maintenance), but it doesn't allow you to create your own categories.
After this is done, you have to press the Next button to continue. In this window, you will be able to select the date of the event and its recurrence. Each recurrence type offers you different methods of date selection according to your needs. For example, the Weekly option gives you the possibility to choose the days of the week when it should notify you about the selected event.
The application also incorporates options for setting monthly or yearly alarms. In this case, you get to select the day of the month you wish the alert to occur. All such events are added by pressing the Finish button.
Reminder Xpert also allows you to setup alarms for future events. With the help of the same green "+" button, you can access the alarm wizard. In the next window, you will be able to enter the name, time, window color and the desired message you wish to popup. The Now button can be useful when you want to be notified a day later at the same time you setup the alarm.
In the next window as in the event wizard, you can select the date and recurrence the same way as before. What this wizard adds besides the Event one is the fact that it allows you to select an action to perform at the established time. You can choose to be notified by playing a chosen sound, run a program or shutdown you PC.
The application allows you to quickly switch between Events and Alarms throughout the buttons from the top left part of the main window. From the Events window, you can even sort your events by type for easy management.
From the View menu, you can access the incorporated calendar for an easier programming of your events and keep track of your current and future events from the Current Events window.
Reminder Xpert also provides you with some simple tools like: countdown timer, stop watch and a date calculator. If you accidentally set your clock ahead with one or more days and some of the events were rolled forward from where they should be, Reminder Xpert comes with the solution. You can quickly fix this with a mouse click by selecting the Fix Event Dates option from the tools menu.
Reminder Xpert is an easy-to-use application that will surely help you manage your important tasks and events without missing one again.
