A new version has just been released for Process Hacker, the tool designed to provide detailed overview of the system activity. The fresh revision is 2.30 and it is a minor build.

Among the most significant modifications available is re-enabling the powerful process termination in Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8.

The developer also equipped the program with a new option: "Icon click toggles visibility."

UserNotes plugin has been updated and it now has the ability to save process priority. On the same note, there is a new option available for process comments called "Only for processes with the same command line."

As far as repairs are concerned, Process Hacker 2.30 should no longer crash on CPUs without SSE2 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 2).

Process Hacker is available for download from this page; a portable version is also available here.
